  1. Sad to see McCall go. Hope he has a great future and remembers his time here with fondness rather than the miserable time we've all endured (including him) recently.
  2. No idea. The shout for Craigen temporarily never jumped into my head, but it might just work. Long term? There's probably 10 or 15 names from Leagues 1 and 2 out of jobs in England that I don't even know that could be in the mix. Whoever it is, one of three things will happen: 1. He'll be great and piss aff like Brown and McGhee after two seasons. 2. He'll be shite have us battling relegation and resign / be let go. 3. He'll keep us between 8th and 4th. No other teams will pay attention to him because that'll be viewed as par for the course and he'll be here for 4 or 5 years. He'll run down his contract and move on with a moderate reputation.
  3. Feel pretty sad about how it's all gone. He did very well. But he obviously feels he can't do it at the moment. All the best Stuart. It'll be interesting to see who comes out the woodwork for the position.
  4. In no disagreeing that McCall deserves one or two more games, but in terms of who: George Burley Owen Coyle Nick Barmby Steve Lomas Gary McCallister Sammy Mcilroy Billy McKinlay Lawrie Sanchez All of whom are unemployed. Some might be shite. Some might be ok. Some have actually been linked with us in the past. But I'm certain if McCall is sacked or resigns, folk sitting earning fuck all, will look to apply to earn something. Whether it's ideal for them or not is another matter. I agree with your general sentiment, which I think is that's it's possibly a punt in the dark which may not work. And maybe unfair on McCall.,but there will be folk out there looking to earn money, and to get back into a management position. Ps - that list is not exhaustive and contains folk I don't rate. The point is that in terms if options, there are lots of manager out there unemployed and as such the decision to not sack McCall can't be hinged on no other possible available managers.
  5. I'm not calling for his head yet either. But if the job came up there would be lots of candidates and applications, absolutely no doubt.
  6. I have zero passion for any other team. So id regress into a closing anus to die.
  7. Thought we were ok between Ojamma Ainsworth Vigurs. But fuck their second... Oh and Twardzik was good.
  8. Shows the margins. Could have been 2 - 0 and suddenly it's 1 - 1
  9. 1 - 0 well, Ainsworth. Been ok so far.
  10. I wonder what it means by "lost to the community for the first time". We've never been community owned. Or does it mean that it'll be lost to someone outside the Motherwell FC family?
  11. Did this email go to all Well Society members or just some selected Motherwell supporters? I find it strange that some of us just found out about this last night (29th) and the urgent sign up meeting is the 30th. Maybe John Boyle is in personal financial trouble and is calling in his chips now.
  12. Was there not talk of that Coakley fella back in 2007? I think his companies went bankrupt between then and now though, not certain though.
  13. Yeah - this buyer sounds odd. Normally you'd look to keep an investor who is viewed as being 'good for the club' happy by talking them up or at least being neutral towards their possible objectives and general intentions. But it sounds like Satan is waiting to take us over. Who that is - a bank? Someone who wants the land? Who knows, but that letter almost publicly decries them.
  14. This was my understanding as well, but I'm not 100% so didn't post it.
  15. I'll be honest, I agreed with McCalls take on Clarkson. It didn't seem the correct fit for us. Hindsight is showing him scoring at the moment, but like a previous poster says, just because he is doing it at Dundee doesn't mean that he would have instantly replicated his number of goals for us. If he had signed and we were still loosing games as we are now and it came out that we had the chance to sign Ojamma on loan but couldn't because we'd brought in Clarkson, it would have everyone (including me) raging. I'm in agreement that we aren't great, I'm in agreement that McCall is not looking smart at the moment, but you can't superimpose the performance of someone we didn't sign and directly imply his good form would have occurred with us as well. We've got Sutton who scored 20+ goals last season looking like a ghost of his former self, the problems are deeper than this. There is something deeply really wrong with Motherwell just now and it needs fixed as soon as possible.
  16. I've wondered who it was all this time...
  17. 2 - 0 St. Johnstone. Just can't see a win coming at all. From anywhere. The amount of apathy seeping into us is just as concerning as the displays on the pitch.
  18. Faddy played the full 90mins today. Probably first time he has done that in a while. Don't know how well he played but whenever he was with us, he was at best getting 60mins or so.
  19. The amount of players hooked at half time this season tells a story in itself.
