  1. Probably in agreement with this. I'm glad we got St. Johnstone at home as that's the only way I see us beating them. - 3pts. I feel a draw with ICT is due for us. - 1 pt. Celtic I can't see use beating. - 0 pts. United have had the beating of us all season, they know how to deal with us - 0 pts Aberdeen, fuck knows how it will pan out, but with it away I'm edging towards a defeat. 0 pts. Nevertheless, overall I think the team and the manager have did exceptional to get to the 60 point mark with 5 matches remaining.
  2. Thought the Ross County one was a belter as well.
  3. Agree with all the above. I think they are outstanding.
  4. A cup game v St Johnstone midweek around 2008 or so. The one we were heralded as racists after (the Jason Scotland thing). I was there by myself in the east, fucking loaded up. Going to matches on you're own makes you drink more when your in the pub beforehand. I was causing all sorts of bother. Gave some cops shit. Spitting and slevering everywhere. Fucking nightmare.
  5. Controversial but...I probably wouldn't have Dijkstra
  6. Daft question possibly, but see when a youngster goes on loan to a part time team, do they train at Motherwell as normal and do the extra training with the part time team mates over and above that?
  7. Agree with this, I'm the same. I believe a large problem with Scottish Football is what I call the migrant Old Firm fan. They claim to be a fan of one or the other of the two, but actually know fuck all about them or any Scottish teams. They in fact tend to watch Sky Sports coverage of English football more frequently than Scottish football and eventually form a mind set fondness (at the least) or support of one of the four successful clubs (at that particular time). Once their chosen club stutters they become fond/support another. At work the other day I was being slagged by Celtic fans for supporting a 'wee' team. At this I tongue-in-cheek told them I now supported Manchester City and as such now supported a better team than theirs and now in my eyes it was their team who were the wee diddy club. I told them that's how easy it is to select a club to support and anyone can do that. I was making the point that it's much harder (but more satisfying) to support your local team, through good and bad, regardless of size or previous success. It seems that it's a foreign concept to many Scottish football fans.
  8. I hear local lad Lee Miller was in the east stand. Did nobody even give him pellters especially considering it was Aberdeen we were playing?
  9. He looks like Ross from Friends. That's not good for our calendar sales.
  10. The goalkeeping situation was something I'd pointed out in the transfer thread a while back as being of prime importance. As Andy has mentioned - he hasn't had a huge number of senior matches prior to arriving at us, so how the decision making process to sign him panned out would be interesting to know. He looks like he lacks some very important goalkeeping instincts such as anticipation and decision making. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up in goals as a youngster on the pitches in the Faroese simply because he was tall rather than showing any major sort if outstanding goalkeeping instincts. Anyway, neither are good enough to be the number 1 at an SPFL Premiership club in my opinion. Even as number 2 in my mind only Hollis makes it and he scraps it at that. Hollis is a average Championship keeper whilst Nielsen is, well I don't really know. I feel bad for saying that about the two as I don't like to criticise our players, but we can't go blind to such obvious weaknesses. Gordon Marshall ha fucked this up a bit. And it could be the difference between winning and drawing or loosing matches, as in the case yesterday. So Hollis needs to be let go in the summer and we need to try and offload Nielsen. A new goalkeeper is a must. I expect Marshall has started his homework already in preparation for compiling a list if targets for the summer. And if he hasn't, then that's a frightening thought. On the ironic cheering - that's cringeworthy and very very bad for a goalkeeper to hear. We are only shooting ourselves in the foot by doing it.
  11. Gutted about the last minute goal. On the plus side, we've played 1st and 2nd and we are still only 1 point behind 2nd with a game in hand. Aberdeen have scored last minute goals on a few occasions, their luck will run out.
  12. We will be happily reminiscing about the McCall era in 10 years.
  13. Same here. It was a good laugh remembering some of the disasters, particularly the guys from the 90s who I grew up with hoping they would eventually come good. But they didn't.
  14. Maybe it's cause it's Friday and I'm happy but I love your posts.
  15. Aye. We need to get Fitzpatrick out of that, I don't think he is anywhere near as bad as some of those rags o' shite that have been included.
  16. Aye those three that Malpas brought in were torture. Plus the boy Keegan was fuck ugly.
  17. Randolph Krivokapic Martin Hutchison McKinnon Lambert Odonnell Cooper McCormack Coyne McFadden A bit striker-happy! Subs Ruddy Reynolds Hammel Valakari Arnott Sutton
  18. Good to Anier on board for 2.5 years.
  19. The two players from Hearts that worry me are the goalkeeper McDonald - I think he is one of those keepers that can get you something out a game. The second is Ryan Stevenson, I think he is a class player (Scottish Premiership level) on his day.
  20. I dreamt we won this 6 - 0. Boxers were all moist.
  21. Am I only one of a few who has thought big Kerr has did well at CB when asked to play there? I'd be keen to see more of that.
