  1. Fuck me that was a car crash. Not seen us play like that in years. Brutal. Frighteningly brutal.
  2. I gave it to big Sutton. Wins a lot of balls for us. Looked a handful. Thought the centre two were pretty good with the exception of Hutchisons stray pass. Lasley was outstanding, vigurs came into it - although I think he holds onto possession for too long at times. As has been said ZFA wasn't up to much, he seems to struggle to use the space around him when he is off the ball. Thought Nielsen was decent as well, quite a significant physical presence and seemed really confident.
  3. I enjoyed that match. Right frustrating but what a goal by Moore. And what was that wee trumpet sound all about just before Hutchisons goal?
  4. Sutton, he was winning almost every ball we played to him. Big Anier is looking good as well in my opinion.
  5. Thought Sutton and Anier were good today. Also a special mention to Stevie Saunders, he got a good reception at halftime and reciprocated it.
  6. One of my favourite tops is the grey away top of last season and the one before. I love that top.

We're jus having a chat about bygone days and a couple of old managers. Reminiscing of shite. But it's been good.

Aye. I listened to it on the radio and hearing Malpas voice after the match was truly depressing. His monotone pish pouring out.

This was the Dunfermline match. Ps - that Motherwell line up looks no bad in hindsight. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/6621899.stm

Two of the Malpas disaster games stick out to me. One against Dunfermline I think. It was a midweek match, someone got sent off. After being beat and in the relegation battle Malpas responds by saying "that's your Donald Duck". And the last home game where season books good chucked on the pitch.
  11. I agree. I didn't make any comments that were opposite from the points you raise. My point remains. We were being fucked in the second half. I'm glad we won and even more so when not playing so well.
  12. We were being fucked for the last 30 minutes. It doesn't matter how positive or negative you are.
  13. My confidence has diminished massively in two weeks. I think a difficult 1 - 1 draw.
  14. Hughes. Naw! But anyone remember Lewis Grabban! A few goals so far for a guy I thought was mediocre.
  15. We've played in it for 5 of the last 6 years under McGhee, Gannon, Brown and McCall. Not only different managers but different teams, running from having Clarkson, McCormack, Craigan, Reynolds, Porter, Hughes, Ruddy, Slane, Randolf, Humphrey, Sutton, Jennings, Law, Murphy, Hollis etc etc etc. The main theme being change. The name Motherwell may have consistently appeared in Europe, but not the men trying to work it out and plot our way to the group stages. On top of this, for the most part, we literally get 5000 or so folk a match every home game. The way I've looked at it is that we have only played in Europe a few times prior to 2007, then suddenly it's almost every season. I feel lucky to have saw that considering it has taken some others quite literally a lifetime to see it. This doesn't mean criticism can't be applied, but we can't criticise a new team for not leaning the lessons we've been subject to over the past 6 years,
  16. Ach well. Maybe I was wrong to be so confident. Conceedig two penalties usually only leads to defeat.
