Garry Mac was only telling the truth! He would be forced to sell a player who could trap a ball, i also remember him saying it was hard for him not to take the job at fir park as he has a lot of emotional connection to the club; he also stated he painted every seat in the Odonnell or East if i remember correctly. As for McGhee he should go asap and stop messing us around. He has been here for only two seasons yet he has applied for Scotland/almost been Hearts boss and now this, enough is enough, thanks and all, but do us a favour and please leave.

Fair play to McGhee, but i will be glad all this is over because the last two seasons have been very uncomfortable at times with all the managerial talk. The thing that sticks out for me over all this is the lack of quotes/discussion this has on the impact on Motherwell. No one from the club appears to be issuing the standard 'hands off' stuff even if it is just a front to try and stave away teams. Plus McGhee has made no mention of Motherwell in his interview, just the nostalgia about the Dons. No 'im a Motherwell manager until otherwise told' shit etc; im surprised by that. Its like we have lost him without a fight or effort.

He appeals to me more and more as well mate. Jusdt a bit concerned with his lack of first team management for a while. But as others have said, someone closely assissting him would be decent. Did Billy Davies not assist him at Preston way back?

I highly doubt Aberdeen is his dream job. Maybe Celtic, but not Aberdeen. I think everyone is pissed off at the continous speculation week in week out of McGhees reign as manager, and the aparant lack of denial from him, but instead letting it linger and linger which, everytime, gives the impression that he would leave at any given moment. Please bear in mind i said, the given 'impression'.

I've always liked Craig Brown, no idea why, his management post-Scotland hasnt really been great, plus he has been out it for a wee bit i think, but still think someone like him could do a turn with someone younger assissting as you have mentioned.
