  1. Well thats where we are lucky, i dont have any influence on the new managers appointment my influence limits to talking shit on a forum.
  2. I honestly dont think Aberdeen are a big step up at the moment. With a few key players leaving (Severin et al.) its a bit of a rebuilding mission there as well, and with their lack of cash, i would be surprised if MM took it if offered.
  3. Quite frankly, because i like him. And i appreciate he isnt gone yet, but its a forum, someone asked the questions and its been answered.
  4. I played with Imirie at Kirkfield under 15's nothing wrong with him then (althought time has moved cnosiderably since), he wasnt a stand out player then. As a guy he was always ok, a wee bit of a lad, but nothing more, he is ok .
  5. What im saying is there is no point basing expectations on a 30 year averaged league position, because every single season something is different. The causes could be players, managers etc. Just take each season as it comes. For example, what casued us to finnish 10th in 2006 - 2007? Malpas? Would we have been complaining if we finnished 7th then? We are 7th so far this season, thats better than our placement in 2006 - 2007, 2001 - 2002, 2002 - 2003, 2005 - 2006, 1995 - 1996, 1996 - 1997, 1997 - 1998 i.e 7 times out of the last 15 years, so approximately 50% of that period, so we have been in worse scenarios during 50% of the last 15 years.
  6. It certainly isnt a crime, but reafirming it with exagerated emotion everytime you post causes some people to take you very lightly. If you lighten some of your language up it might help. Or as Steve says, you might be looking for a moody reaction hence your trademark emotional captions.
  7. Averageing statistics do help generate a quick picture of what a particular set of variables spit out. But it doesnt really give any insight to why. Lower resolution data does. For example, we finnish 3rd one season, then 7th or lower another. Finnish bottom one season and then 6th another. Sometimes averages distort the magnitude of fluctuation and as a result hide the casue. For this reason, its difficult to say that we should be expecting something of a mid table finnish each season. A lot of the posters on here call it the roller coaster, mainly for the reason we are up and down like a yo-yo most season.
  8. I dont post very often, but this Ice Rink lassie has brought me out of my cage. Every post is surreal, she sounds like the most emotional girl i have ever heard, 'deep down' 'at heart' 'crying in Jack Daniels' - get some fluoxetine down you.
  9. Thought Hughes, Smith and Clarkson all had reasonable games, but probably Hughes.
  10. I know a few folk have pointed out the number of season ticket holders seats that were empty, but what the hell was that all about? The sheer number of ST holder sets empty shocked me. Were they sitting elsewhere? Were they not at one of the most importnat games of the season for us? Or are we lying about the number of ST holders we have? Baffled me.
  11. I thought McLean was poor in the second half. Anyone in the top 'close to the away fans' section of the East would have had a greaet view of Mclean constantly sticking it far up the park with a long right field cross ball all the way through the second half. I like big McLean, but it wasnt happening.
  12. I was expecting something like this to start once a fella in front of me was shouting McGhee Must go at 1-0 down yesterday. Fair play, i think his tactics were a bit strange and the subs late in coming but there has been a lot of good from McGhee unfortunately this year we just missed out. We do need some in's and out's, but we all agree on that, and im sure McGhee would as well.
  13. I think it is a good idea. 3 of my non motherwell supporting mates are coming along plus me that makes £20. Albeit if i went myself at normal prices it would be £18, so not a big difference. Having said that, i got them all to come to the Dundee Utd game (2 - 1) a few weeks back, and they were getting right behind us, doing more shouting than me at times. So the extra voices will be appreciated. And they enjoyed the Utd experience, they couldnt believe that we had the choice of pretty much any seat, and that we sit so close to the pitch at the East Stand. They have said they will definately be back even when the prices are £18. So thats a positive.
  14. A few of my non-motherwell supporting mates are coming to the match due to the ticket price, proof of the £5 price getting folk coming.
  15. Andy Dorman has got to be a shout.
  16. Chuffed with the result yesterday. St Mirren wont be much of a walkover, as otehrs have noted. I always hate playing them, Falkirk and Killie as we seem to slip up rather often.
  17. Just had two great chances at the end mate. Missed em both. Langfield with a great save apparently.
  18. 10 men, come on 'Well. Great chance to power into the top 6
  19. I find it amussing that people think the whole world wants to know what they have been upto. Social networking sites have ruined the romance and intimacy of relationships. What has happened to the romance of the pen and paper.
  20. Everytime i hear Crawford Allan, i think Crawford Baptie.
  21. Yeah i feel your pain. Im stuck studying a spreadsheet of over 2000 x 48 cells. Fecking pish. But at least my link is working eh Haggis . It wasnt working earlier but is now.
