I dont necesarilly think he is trying to say he is available, most likely scenario is a reporter has asked him about Clarkys progress and he has responded with that. We never get the questions asked quoted, only the answers.

I played in the same team as Dougie, Kirkfield BC up in Lanark. He was ok, not a wanker, just a bit of a lad. He was by no means a great player though.

I dont get along to many games due to Uni/Work/Cash but the St Johnstone mid-week game in the cup which was live on TV a few seasons ago was my worst. Had a run in with a polis up the far end of the East.

I hope the fella's not left because some folk disagreed on the councillor thing. And i would agree with many on here, that councillors are there to represent people, not to make decision which have had no public debate whatsoever. Councillors can only make such decisions on planning matters, and so far it hasnt been submitted for planning, i work in the construction industry 7.5 hours a day 5 days a week. Is the land contaminated, does the transport and infrastructure allow this to be feasible, what will the resultant carbon emissions be, what imnpact does it have on the surroundings etc etc etc. Its a brown field side, with no major development on it as yet, the infrastructure can be accomodated due to its vast size, its carbon emissions will be 15% better than current standards as per Scottish Planning Advice Note 84 (PAN84). Coucnillors cant just make decisions based on nothing.

I like Davies although he seems to have an ego. If i remember correctly he felt it was poor that the SFA wanted to interview cadiates for the Scotland job, his view that was that they knew all they neeeded to know about the guys on the shortlist. In my opinion thats balls because they needed to speak face to face, get an idea of plans, motivations, aspirations etc. I think he will do ok with Forest. I would echo the comments made about Calderwood. Davies played with two wingers here in an almost 4 2 4 formation when going forward.

I know its been done to death before (cerainly some of the older previous welltrustfc.net users will know) but i was listening to radio scotland on Saturday and thhe guys on it were talking about Heart's wages. They were saying (i think it was the McKay fella who used to play for them) that Kingston is on circa £15k while guys like Berra, Driver and Aguiar are in the region of £10k - £12k. I had no idea they were paying guys this much. It made me realise we are a relatively small club in comparison to a few others in our league. Aberdeens gate on Saturday was 18,000 while Hibs had 12,000. To be competing with these teams week in week out is testamemt to some of the guys we have had on our books recently, such as McCormack, McDonald, Steph Hughes. Looking at transfer talk i would expect we will be scouring the frees etc this window. Does anyone know if we have a wage cap and if so what it is. There was a newspaper article about the best for value keeper in the paper a few months back, Smith was within the lowest three in terms of pay per year but was in teh top four or so in terms of stops per £.
