Spot on! Combine significantly lower pricing with consistent and acceptable kick off times and crowds will rise -
Wouldn't fancy a trip Turkey or Ukraine but Moscow is an amazing place if you get the chance and if you live on MacDonalds or the Pizza Hut just off Red Square and drink the cheap booze on offer in all the little shops, you will love it! Baking hot in the summer as well and you can even go inside the Kremlin for a look round. And safer at night than a jolly in Edinburgh......

All bollox and he is just saving himself for his hat trick in the last 15 mins against the buns.....

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
SuperCC replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
Its a difficult one to have a view on this early as the full details of the case are not public except that we know it is in excess of £75M and I'm not sure if that includes all the penalties and costs or whether this is increasing by a % every day. I could see rainjurs coming out of admin over the summer by some dodgy newco deal and getting straight back into the SPL but then losing the big tax case later in the year and this will push them back into admin again as HMRC will go for the assets that belonged to the original company and that were probably transferred to the newco at minimum value! Besides all of this they could still be found guilty for dual contracts and the punishment for that over years should be severe! Your right that this could drag on for a long time and the events of the next few months are still only the beginning I reckon! Lets keep this thread purely focused on getting a response from our Club though and the debate re rainjurs or the impact on MFC fo the existing threads! So Leanne, is it a yes or no from MFC on re-entry for a newco? -
Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
SuperCC replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
If they are found not guilty of those issues then why would we worry - not guilty in a court of law is good enough for me. All the punishment they are suffering so far is for going into administration and other issues where the SFA have found them guilty - still good enough for me! All people are asking is that when found guilty, the punishment fits the crime....... -

I reckon they will ban all Well fans from the Fir Park Club!!! -
i agree, lets change yesterdays team and tactics because they obviously didn't work......................

Easiest one ever and if he played like that every week then EPL teams would be paying £5M plus for him..........................

I'm in Menorca for the first leg so I'm hoping its somewhere in Spain and I can do a cheap connection thru Madrid! Might see you at the airport and how do you tell the wife that you are fucking off during the family holiday?

That is the best summing up so far I have read! Was lucky enough to bump into Nevin about two years ago down here and he is still pretty passionate about the whole affair and I couldn't repeat the words he used re Mr Boyle! As said above though, JB has probably redeemed himself in recent years following admin and the whole Cooper scandal!

And that's where your analogy either fails or highlights your inability to understand established corporate infrastructure and governance! You are also trying to make a comparison between the management and governance of a small provincial football club that turns over a few million at most and a global financial institution that manages assets of almost 2 trillion pounds! In those two extremes the term CEO is ever so slightly different.......... But staying with you for a minute, who is the John Boyle equivalent in your analogy so the comparison is complete? Or basically - what weeyin said as well!
-
Depends whether or not in your analogy you see Goodwin asthe Boyle or Nevin equivalent but either way I don’t see the comparison......
-
What a bunch of morons................Funny as fuck though and obviously no one (including their own club) is taking this seriously!
-
not really relevant as we arent season ticket holders in England, or buying a share in english clubs or spending in excess of 50 quid every week to go and watch your club home and away!! When people speak about boycotting, this is what the impact will be.....
-
Could they field a team any weaker than their normal current sh!te........
-
Problem for the SFA was that Lennon has three recent incidents and if our man had been further punished then they would have to have thrown the book at the manky one!! Now he can get a one match ban at most and a slap on the wrist for his numerous offences and everyone is happy.......
-
Last season we were very poor after the split but we did have the Cup Final to look forward to and this maybe distracted the team from the day job! This year would any of us sacrifice getting to the final again if it meant our focus was on securing that champions league spot and maybe second in the league! Obviously we want it all but if you had to choose........

Fixed.........

I know exactly what you mean! I remember when we played Steau in the Europa League and thinking that they have only been in Europe almost every year in the last 35 and enjoyed that revenue, and their squad wasn't all full senior international players (just most of them)' and that big stadium and all those tens of thousands of fans must be a buggar for the club to cope with! And I had also hoped that counting all their money from sponsors and tv might have meant some of the players were busy that night helping so like everyone else I was amazed we didn't do them 5 nil both home and away I blame McCall - get him sacked now!! Ps. Staying on topic, excellent draw and more than happy with QOTS or the sheepies at home.......
-
Scrappy but really holding our own at present although the scum have always come out stronger in the second 45 minutes over most of this season!!

Good afternoon ‘Well fans, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend after what was another excellent performance and victory at Easter Road yesterday. It marks the end of the first round of games and it’s fair to say that the players deserve every amount of credit going for how well they have performed; they are a joy to work with and a credit to the club. However, I wanted to use this email as an opportunity to thank you; our fans. Do not underestimate your role in the progress we have made so far. In just about every game, you have sang, drummed and chanted your way through games and both the players and the coaching staff get a huge boost from it. Yesterday, all you could hear throughout the ninety minutes was constant singing, support and positivity and it’s little wonder the players go that extra yard. The support we are getting from you at this moment in time is certainly the best I’ve experienced in my ten months in charge and, from speaking to those at the club who have been here longer, the best in a long, long time. Please keep it up! This is an exciting time to be a Motherwell fan. Not only are the players performing off it, we are creating our own revolution off it. I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Fir Park and the ethos of the place. The same goes for Kenny Black, Gordon Marshall and the other members of the coaching staff. It’s a special club and one that is very much on the up! There is too much talk decrying Scottish Football. Too many tales of woe and prophets of doom. Commentators ought to have a good look at what is going on here at Motherwell and I don’t just mean on the park. At the same time, you will have heard and read my interviews on the club website and in the press trying to temper expectations. Don’t see that as a lack of ambition on my part, purely trying to make sure people stay realistic. We have a relatively small budget in SPL terms, although I must pay tribute to the Board who managed to keep ours on a par with last season despite the economic difficulties we are all facing. Taking the budgetary restrictions we are under, and the choices we made in terms of squad size – quality over quantity – then we must stick to our target of top six and not get too far ahead of ourselves. Doing that will only lead to a fall. That all said, and it’s an old cliché but in this instance, it is appropriate, we’re taking it one game at a time just now. Next up we face Kilmarnock at Fir Park and that’s going to be exceedingly difficult. They are an excellent footballing side, you need only look at how they played against Celtic yesterday, and we will need to be at our best to win the game. People ask me why we play better away than we do at Fir Park. It’s probably because of the mentality of the opposition club – having to come at us and leaving space for us to exploit – whereas at Fir Park clubs tend sit in and frustrate us (like Aberdeen for example). However, with your help, we can do it. We need as many people to come along to Fir Park as possible this weekend and roar the boys on. We need to recreate the ‘away game’ atmosphere at home to help the boys do it. Get at your friends, get at your family and get at your colleagues. Tell them of the great things that are happening at Motherwell and who knows where we can go! Thanks again for everything and all the best, Stuart

What he said - i like his thinking

Does anyone know if we are still only talking about a few grand here as I'm sure that was the sums they were talking about when this was first mentioned last December. If thats the case and 9 or 10 people have been arrested (but bailed and not charged) then is it really worth all this shite! Cant believe Jenno would put at risk his career for such nonsense and with no return whatsoever and as for even thinking about banning him before it even gets to court - the SFA can fuck off.
