I would say that Gannon's was probably the shrewdest piece of business over that period and it's a shame that personalities and Gannon's way with people prevented us from fully seeing his methods and ideas come to fruition! Would say that Boyle is walking away leaving us probably stronger on and off the pitch than we have been in years and thats due in part to McGhee, Gannon, Brown and McCalls more recent additions. It's a big summer coming up with the club more financially stable than its been over the last decade and hopefully the chance to retain and add to our paper thin squad - all be it a stunning paper thin squad! Boyle has made some very good business decisions that were very poor football decisions and alienated the fans from him for some time but he has lost a lot of cash whilst living the dream and I didnt see many others queuing up to takeover and pump the money in! Can see where MJC is coming from in trying to apply logic and common sense but if that was the way football worked then our coupons would be up every week and the bookies wouldn't allow any bets on the favourites cos they would always win!! In terms of money and capacity then Celtic are miles ahead of us and always will be, in terms of recent form then they will always be ahead as well although that gap is currently smaller than it has been all season but in terms of pressure and expectation - then it all sits on them and once their own fans get on their backs then it tends to go tits up!! For the timmies it's no more than another cup final against a diddy team but for us it's the whole weekend from Friday night beers and drunken chats about expectations etc, to a glorious Saturday with the players running out to a sea of Claret and Amber and a wall of noise and then the expectation that comes with not booking the flight home til late on Sunday so I can watch the bus parade as they show off the cup!!!! All with the fallback of having already qualified for Europe So as I said at the beginning, I can see where MJC is coming from but thank feck you can't apply logic or common sense to football and for the next month we will have more fun, expectation and drunken hope than we have had in many years and no dismal whinging, common sense or negativity can take that away. Here's to possibly our best season in living memory

There is the option of a much cheaper card display - assuming a lot of fans will be in club colours such as tops, with scarves, flags, etc. If everyone can hold scarves aloft, wave flags or stick oot our big beer bellies then you have a sea of predominatly amber as a background. You then just need the few thousand claret cards to create a huge MFC. What do you think as it gets everyone involved - apart from those that dont like wearing colours!!
