  1. yeh, but why, then, do the same police and politicians allow it at rugby matches? what would the difference be if a plastic cup full of coke had been flung at Papac?
  2. yup, I was at Twickenham for the Calcutta Cup last season, probably the best atmosphere I've experienced at a game in a long time (whenever I've been to murrayfield it had always been with the rugby club, so we had a block of tickets). Banter with the guys sitting next to you was excellent (same with on the buses back to Richmond and at the pub after!)

    McGlinchey?

nah i think yo mean you can't have two numbers for the same player in one season!
  4. and it looked awful today too! Plus the SRU have been using the growing lamps on the pitch!
  5. hahaha, pull the other one. Dalziel park is only "good" because no-one is allowed to play on it when there is a hint of rain in london...
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/8473827.stm according to Craig Brown's interview, Sutton's wife is expecting twins! anyway, I thought Ruddy and Jutkiewicz had already had their loan deals extended?
  7. do it in the NHL too, you can buy 10 game packages (given they play roughly 40 home games) instead of a full season.
  8. I wonder if there's a way to find out who voted yes...
  9. that's a bit selective. Wilkins got the captaincy in 75/76 and they won promotion in 76/77, they only got relegated after the manager resigned.
  10. stats on wiki (in the infobox) only count league apps and goals.
  11. website says 9.30 meet, 10am start.
  12. correct. might still be a in a database dump on my computer (unless it appeared and disappeared between two!)
  13. very easy to implement (well, software side, would need quite a few BT transmitters around the ground though!). Try walking around leicester square in London with your bluetooth on and you get bombarded with messages!
  14. Maybe ESPN are trying to show they aren't OF biased like every other broadcaster by not showing the rangers/Celtic away game that week. Plus, given the games between the two clubs have produced 9 goals so far is guaranteed to be a goal fest

    Jim O'brien

to be fair, Craigan's no doubt been asked if he's happy being out of the team, and he'll have said no. He's not exactly going to be happy he's out the team, but he strikes me as the sort of player who's not going to rest and take it lying down.
  16. http://motherwellnet.co.uk/h2h/rangers.html gives eight 0-0 draws (not including this season)
  17. if you're just checking with mobile wap, then its standard data rates. you can post to twitter via mobile web which doesn't cost anything on top of standard data rates. However, if you text an update to twitter, it will cost you 17p and it doesn't come out of any allowances you have! Andrew: will you be updating other sports news on your twitter feed?
  18. thing is, he didn't have a passport until a couple of years ago! My mum managed to get him to go on one of the church retreats (to Rome possibly) and he had to get a passport. He's never looked back!
  19. right, one of the other mod's HOTD this, I've just removed all the posts regarding the chanting. This is to discuss the game yesterday at Pitrodie, not the chanting. Any posts regarding the chanting will be deleted on sight, there are other threads for that discussion.

yeh, but if Dave hadn't stuck that on, and something had gone wrong, you'd all still be at his and the club's throat!
  21. all you do is sweat yourself dry which is no use to anyone!
  22. haha, I could easily get my laptop onto the TV system, but just depends on if there is an open wifi nearby (or someone having a 3G dongle)
  23. also depends if said pubs even have an internet connection!
  24. another 3 to 4 weeks i believe.

This is due to the fact that you go on Sky and there is always football on, plus you have champions league/UEFA cup football. There is not the same coverage of rugby, and the equivalent competitions are much smaller. Bare in mind that the EPL is older than the Professional era of Rugby (rugby turned pro in 1995 after the World cup)! yup, would agree with that.
