i think 6-6 is the best we could've got from the game, so not too bothered about the penalty. Feel bad for Forbes but his confidence won't be helped much by that. God knows though, if we'd equalised from the penalty we'd probably have lost 7-6 ourselves. And seeing that goal was worth the despair of the missed penalty.

Fuckin' hero. best goal i've ever seen i think. and one of the best players I've ever had the pleasure of watching.
-
second goal might have been offside but the defence looks howling for all four anyway

In the hibs price slash thread when asked if it was one of the 2 announcements... Here's hoping for something out of the blue by the end of today/tomorrow!

don't see what all the fuss about stokes goal is all about. Its just a big hoof up the park and Davie Weir just didnae know how to tackle him.

Either Kilmarnock or Hearts away, both had a great atmosphere and great results. Away days always seem to be better

Not sure if it'll be anything to do with players re-signing but the club twitter today said: "And - this coming week, expect not one, but two big news stories coming out of Fir Park! Exciting times!". Fingers crossed we've manage to tie up deals on a couple of players but either way it sounds like good news is on its way. Maybe even to do with ticket prices?

Great game, great result and great atmosphere today! Pretty annoyed not to see O'brien's goal stand and was surprised that Jamie Murphy nevery buried one of his chances but a fantastic match nonetheless. Passports at the ready

At first I thought a 30 game season was ridiculous but its not all that uncommon, russia, portugal, sweden and ukraine all have it, most of which are better leauges than our own. In sweden its 2 up, 2 down with a play off between 3rd bottom and 3rd top of the division below. That means probably 5 or 6 teams would be involved in the 'relegation battle'. ALso, this season in the SPL the top 7 clubs are all pretty close to one another so thats a huge proportion of the teams with something to play for. Kinda disproves the theory that there would be too many 'meaningless games'. PLus play-offs are always exciting Not sure if they still do it but at the end of the swedish season there was once a kind of scandinavian mini-tournament, top 4 teams from Sweden, Denmark and Norway all take part in a knock-out competition. NOt sure if something similar could be done here, along the lines of that celtic cup. or going back to the glory days of the texaco cup! Also, in the Ukraine, they have a break after the first fifteen games, then a break from December to March i think. Would shut up all the people complaining about winter football even if just on a one-off trial basis. I'm not a fan of a winter shutdown myself but no harm in giving something new a try. The split was good but it has caused too many problems and the leauge needs a shake-up. One concern however. If we did expand to 16 teams it would probably mean four of Inverness CT, Dundee, Dunfermline, Ross County, Queen of the South, Partick coming up. That doesnt leave much quality in the leagues below to be promoted in following seasons. Mind you, the teams left below would probably strengthen and turn in to half decent sides just as the ones that are at the top of the current first division have.

You're suggesting a 60 game season? Even 1 at home and 1 away leaves you with just 30 games...

8 against us by my reckoning. 3 of them against dundee united as well!
-
doesnae look offside to me Fair enough everything we produced after that was disallowed was pish, but regardless. That would've probably given us the confidence to go on and maybe see out the match. second time those jammy bastards have been saved by a dodgy linesman's call against us
-
We beat Hibs after they went down to ten men... the only time we've played 11v10 under Craig Brown
-
My home top has been washed plenty times and its still pretty much good as new. My only complaint would be that I initially wanted the away top but had to swap cos the collar was too small on the away top; ive not even got an overly large head or anything, did anyone else find this

+1 Couple of really decent results today. And I just realised today that Hibs and United's game in hand is against each other Also, United have a history of bottling it and Hibs are in a bad way. We on the other hand are on a brilliant bit of form that doesnt look like ending anytime soon Plus, the likelihood of it being a case of top 5 into Europe is now quite high; good time to be a well fan

Aberdeen to nick a late goal and put us into third, come on muttley !
