  1. Could've seen that coming, shitey 0-0, St Mirren were actually better than usual but still not really that interested in football although neither were we to be honest. SOme decent play but far too many below par performances especially first half. The ref was shite again, some of the decisions were baffling, but nothing major and we can only really blame ourselves for not gettin the 3 points but St Mirren should be more annoyed at not getting the win than us if I'm honest. Onwards and upwards and hopefully a wee (or big) win on saturday will get us pushing up the table! MTW!
  2. Bloody brilliant result and a performance that sort of merited it. We were backs to the wall for periods in the second halves and punished them for not taking their chances which was great to see! The players looked ecstatic when they scored that second goal; it's an amazing run and it just keeps on going! Thought Thompson was dying to give the saintees the game but our new found ability to finish teams off proved otherwise. He had a shocker but we still manged to grab the 3 points! Mon the well!
  3. If it wasnt for that fud John Gilmour...
  4. Great result today, adding to an amazing run. Think St Johnstone are due a pumping next week, especially if the Juke is back. only 4 points between us and united, I dont think theres any doubting we're in the chase for those European spots and with a game at tanadice at the end of the month its looking very interesting. What a difference that disallowed goal against Rangers would have made! But, mustn't complain, its a great time to be a 'Well fan
  5. When i saw Miller's tackle on O'Brien I didnt think it was even gonna be a yellow, still not seen it back though so cant really say. It seemed to me like the ref felt he'd got it wrong and decided to spend the rest of the game balancing it out. So many times I was just waiting for a free kick to be given to us and he'd point the other way. The linesman was worse though I feel. Some of the tackles in front of him on Humphrey in the second half could've been leg breakers. There was one where Hump took it by the full back and he just flew in with a last ditch slide tackle to trip Humphrey but apparently he took the ball. Decision- goal kick Oh and the penalty was a stonewaller
  6. It was a beast of a run by Craigan and a decent finish, cant blame forbes for smashing it in either. But for that baldy cnt on the line to disallow it was a farce. It was just too good to be true. Gutted
  7. He's a talented player, just lackin stamina as you say and also confidence. Once he gets that back we'll see more of what we did at the start of the season
  8. From the cooper stand i thought it was a penalty and it just made me even more grateful for the 3 points but now you see it there it was probably the right call.
  9. Just back in, thought the team played pretty well tonight, and seemed to be all over hearts for most of the match; shame we never made the most of it. Thought Craigan and Forbes were both below average and looked slow at times. Murphy didnt have his best game either and so we didnt pose much of a threat in front of goal. Thought the ref was howling tonight, absoultely shocking. It always seems worse when you're in there admittedly but that was one of the worst of the season. Hearts are a dirty team and this ref was gettin it all wrong. I think there are more ups than downs compared to the last couple of weeks when we really had nothing positive to take from any of the games. Steven Saunders and Jim O'brien were working great together and Jennings is coming into a bit of form. Accies are due a hammering on saturday, Mon the well!
  10. we didnt have a left side of midfield today, thats one of the contributing factors to us getting pummelled. And the being out of position and failure to shut players down are not linked, hammell and yas just seemed to be shite at noth of them at the same time today. every player in claret and amber was guilty of not shutting down though, hence we got horsed.
  11. are you fuckin kidding? why do you think rangers had so much space on the wings then? Fair enough we've been through all the stuff about "where is Gannon telling yassin to play" but seriously, they were firing balls down the flanks all afternoon before cutting in and playing the ball across the face of goal, the reason they had so much room to do so is cos yas and hammell were nowhere to be seen.

  13. the scoreline today was embarrassing but there were a couple of decent performances. Again Murphy and Jutkiewicz played alright together and I thought Hutch had a decent game. He seemed to be the only one willing to put in a tackle. That, for me, is more frustrating than our passing about the back 4. We havent really lost any goals from that but constantly backing off the opposition is costing us dearly. If we sorted that out we'd stop leaking goals like we did today. Even shutting the opposition down in their own half would help as long balls over the top keep catching us out. Outwith the 3 centre backs we had today (Hutch, Reynolds, Saunders) the other "defensive" players let us down big time. Hammell and Moutouakil were dreadful, both going forward and at the back, constantly out of position. Hateley also flatters to deceive, he couldnt deal with the balls being thrown at him at all today, and in the last two games (celtic/hibs) he's been muscled off the ball leading to us conceding goals, and never closes his man down. Sadly we dont have the strength in depth to just put these guys on the bench for a bit and as a result they keep making the same mistakes week after week.
  14. is it at all possible to buy tickets from the ticket office tomoro? (friday that is).
  15. just back in from the game, thought we gave nearly as good as we got in the first half up until the goal and were outclassed after that. We could've made more of a couple of chances and a fair bit of possession to sneak a draw maybe (and i mean sneak it). we were caught out backing off the man on the ball too many times and paid the price for it. Had a decent penalty claim in the second half but we werent gonna get anything from Brines. Hammell's yellow card was a farce and they had one of the most blatant hand-balls i've ever seen overlooked. The ref was shite but we had already dug our own grave really
  16. God, watchin the video was bad enough but that still-shot is absolutely sickening
  17. bbc highlights show that our "third goal" was well onside. i fuckin knew it that would've been 3-1 and put to bed all this pish about not bein able to finish teams off
  18. what about the goal that was ruled offside? dont knnow if the bbc highlights will show this but it looked like las timed his run to perfection to me; might be wrong
  19. Its not that we can't play against 10 men, we did create a few chances to kill the game off when they were down to ten, we just didnt take them. Its frustrating but it won't be long til it all falls into place.
  20. in his defense, i think he's got a great first touch. the amount of through balls he manages to run onto and the number of balls that get fired across the park that he manages to chest down and run with is testament to this. His crossing does need some work admittedly.
  21. who cares what he's wearing, looks like he's up for stayin longer which is defnitely a good bit of news
  22. have noticed this too, considering we almost never leave a player up at corners now and have 10 or 11 players in the box it seems crzy not to have a man on each post especially as we are starting to pay for it
  23. Jim O'brien, Chris Humphreys, Jamie Murphy and soon to be Paul Slane and still you're greetin about there not being enough wingers? these guys alone are worth going to watch.
  24. just in from wat was a belter of a game, we should've won it but happy with the fightback! cracking goal from murphy
