Good shout, wonder how it would actually work out on the pitch though. It's only fair that Forbes keeps his place, and Humphrey would be first to be dropped. He'd be a good impact player since right now my major concern is that we'll be fucked by about 70 minutes. Highlights make it look like we horsed them, Forbes shot was a bullet! Hateley's was the one that mattered though, what a goal!

That wasn't 4-3-3 it was 4-5-1. Thats why Higdon was knocking balls on to nobody. Especially in the second half when everyone was too knackered to push forward. Nothing you can do with so little experience on the bench mind you.

Great first half, would like to see our early chances again, the view of the other box is quite shit from near the front of that stand! They were all over us in the second half, back 4 done well to keep solid and boot everything that came their way back out the box. Shame those clearances weren't getting to our forwards. Higdon looked pretty isolated, couldn't quite understand why McCall swapped Law and Murphy? Murphy seemed a bit wasted on the wing, and Law was often too deep to really be supporting Higdon. Forbes played a fuckin blinder, well done to the boy. And he's obviously not lost his eye for goal in his absence!. Humphrey was anonymous for most the game which is worrying, just when we thought both wings were a threat he just isn't getting the breaks. Hope he turns the corner next week and rips Naismith a new hole. Hateley was great again today, much more confident as you could see- running at folk down the wing, getting the ball in early and of course scoring THAT goal. Felt brilliant when it went in, the stand for rocking! Brilliant atmosphere for the fans and players. Hope we can tear Rangers apart next week, and keep them out too! Mon the Well!

Higdon in holding midfield is madness, he's a terrific target man. With Law Murphy and Humphrey running off him that's enough pace to be going with. Would keep the same line up and formation as today, hutch in for Saunders if he's fit, and either carrwell or Forbes in for Lasley. Will be interesting to see how Forbes would do in Lasleys attacking midfield role with Jenning sitting behind him giving him some license to roam. The guys got a good pass and shot on him, hope he gets to use it. Carswell looked solid too though so either or. If we can't outplay St Mirren I'll be handing in my season ticket. The scoreline is a different matter. Would maybe take a draw but a win would send out a message of posts.

Why is this getting hall of the damned? Who was pointless?

Can't believe anybody is doubting Goodwillie's talent, if he was playing for us people would be saying he was worth about 5 million! Some of the goals he has scored are top class and I think he's the sort of player you don't want to be up against, he's a talented striker. Surprised united have the bottle to turn down some of the bids being mentioned though, fair play if they get £2m+. I think we deserve another decent season out of Murphy, maybe that's being selfish, but avoiding injury this will be Jamies season at fir park. Teams like wigan are sniffing about now but I think we should try to hold out for now. In saying that, you see what wigan have done for the guys from Hamilton and it must be tempting for Jamie himself.

Confident of a result on Saturday. The team should go there for a win because they could tear Killie apart, but a point would be alright. Won't be making it to the game, don't really like Rugby Park and it's on BBC alba I think.

Classy performance today, 3 good goals and Lasleys was a topper. The first touch to set it was great and the way he lashed it home was brilliant to watch. More of the same please. Law looks tidy, adds a bit of balance to the midfield. Easy to get carried away with one good result but we've got good reason to be optimistic. Enjoy first place while it lasts, bring on next week!

Why don't you just wear last seasons shirt for a couple more weeks and stop whinging?
-
I'm fairly sure murphy played on the left that day too. Either way it didn't work on Saturday so fuck.

Sick of folk saying Hammell hasn't played there before! He has done a couple of times this season, notably in the game against Dundee United in the cup quarter at Tannadice. He played a blinder that day and similarly to yesterday it was in a game where the oppostion midfield was going to overrun us. It took a lucky break for united and a beast of a finish from Goodwillie to break us down that day and yesterday was the same. However, that day again I thought it was going forward where we lacked options. Even with Jeffers AND Sutton upfront we looked short on ideas at times, with Murphy and to an extent humphrey looking quiet. It took some great passing play and a set piece to get the goals and yesterday we just didn't have that. McCall got it right as far as shutting Celtic out- apart from a wonder strike we were still in it with 15 minutes left. Even then it was only a massive deflection that increased their lead. However, when it came to attacking, we had very little, Lasley was nowhere near as attacking as in the semi, Sutton looked isolated, we never used Murphy and Humphrey was a bit off the pace. Gutted, but I didn't expect us to come out flying at celtic. I didn't want us to go gung-ho from the first whistle because we'd be cut open; i think everyone wouldve taken 0-0 at half time. We should've had a go though, in the second half we shoulve pushed up, should've taken the game to them. We had periods of good passing, stretching their midfield and back four and a few balls in and around the box. If things had been just, we would've been up against ten and not eleven and things would've been very different. I think that would have given the players that wee bit of belief they needed. It wasn;t to be i guess but I'm not going to have a go at the players, or the manager just now because it doesn't help anything. Proud to be a well fan, yesterday was fantastic and they display was a cracking moment. Hope to see some more of yesterdays hoardes at Fir Park in August.

Just pumped some Celtic fanny at fifa on the xbox. Had to endure him singing just can't get enough until I scored the first. Then the racist abuse of Humphrey (or a pixelated version of him) started before I was called a dirty smelly h*n! 3-0 full time, the omens are all there.

Had an exam today so been dreading this week coming but now it's out the road I can get excited! Next one is on Monday but its on the back burner til then! MTW!

Got my Edinburgh flat window decorated with scarf, shirt and a couple of posters from the Motherwell Times, not getting much light in but well worth it!

Hey Jude is sang by the Tims, the last thing we want it to be copying them. Bob Marley is the only decent one on the poll, the rest aren't just not as good, they're pish.

Wellevate scheme seems pretty good, bums in seats and all that. My complaint is that an adult or senior citizen can claim 2 free juvenille/young adult season tickets in the DC stand. Technically a senior citizen season ticket doesn't exist, but a senior citizen can buy a CONCESSION ticket. So can a student so why shouldn't a student be entitled to the 2 free tickets? I pay just as much for my season ticket but don't get the added perks? Fuck that. Have emailed the club for clarification on this as I feel a student should be entitled to the exact same deal as a senior citizen. Especially as one without a steady wage

Were you at fir park or Brandon parade? I was raging, tried to buy tickets for that very section but the best I could get was row bbb, about ten rows further back. They were selling them in order from the back row forward as well so a bit strange how you got row ss about an hour earlier than I was told they hadn't reached that row!?
-
That was a nightmare. I think I was in the wrong mood for it anyway though. The 3 sections nearest the Celtic end, the corner I sat in at the semi and arguably the best seats in our 28 quid allocation- have not been released yet! And the sections nearest this were being sold from the back row forward under hampdens orders. So basically to avoid paying 35 quid I would have to be behind the goals. Sadly its the motherwell FC staff that have to enforce these rules, and have to answer to angry fans (like myself) for a full week. Why could we not pick specific seats within our section? And why do I HAVE to sit behind the goals while the Tims have the full length of the north stand, closer to the park and closer to the players than any well fan can get?
-
Should never have been down at half time, ref was diabolical. Should have made more of our chances when we had them though, instead we came back out second half and capitulated. Fucking gutless and embarrassing. They weren't even that good, the 2 naismith goals came when we'd stopped giving a fuck but make it look like they played great. They didn't, they got a hand off the ref and we let them walk all over us. Total shite. Based on second half performance last week Ross deserved a place but he was dire in distribution today. Dropping hutch was madness, last time craigan and gunning played together was when we shipped 6 at ibrox. Last time hutch and gunning played together we horsed the Tims at fir park. In the midfield I wouldn't have dropped hately either, even for Jennings. A 3 man midfield would have been so much better, especially in this type of game where slowing down their attacks in the middle of the park is a must. Jones showed flashes similar to last week but shouldve been hooked sooner to save his blushes. Up front, can't bemoan the selection, we've played a different combination every game this year against the h**s, without much luck. Made sense to stick with the 3 that have done the business in recent weeks. It just didn't come off at all. All in all an embarrassing scoreline to match an embarrassing performance.

have they even won since Sheils came in? We've got to have them in our sights. Would match last season league position and everything else in the pipeline will just top it off nicely. 1-1 tomorrow would be cracking.
-
Would do our European push a wee favour a result here. Can see sutton bagging one or two, but that would only put him even further in the shop window for SUmmer.
-
aaah I just assumed it was Iain Black. Thats a different sotry altogether then. Why the fuck's he saying that?
-
Didn't buy the paper but Ian Black was saying in some Edinburgh Paper that Sutty would fit in well at Tynecastle. Hope they just fuck off and leave him alone.
