  1. How much is a 'wee while'?
  2. Scotsman reports c3m fee + 'acheivable' add ons + sell on fee.
  3. Had a quick scan on wiki earlier. Turnbull, if he goes to Celtic, will be the most they have ever paid another scottish club for a player except Brown. Brown went for 4.4, next one lower is Armstrong for 2m and he had played 150 ish games for Dundee Utd at that point.
  4. It will be the annual accounts for a kick off so it's no big secret long term. The buying club often set the agenda on that front too.
  5. Reece making some headlines too (The Sun): BRENDAN RODGERS’ Leicester City and West Ham are both eyeing a move for promising Motherwell kid Reece McAlear.
  6. Les, Boyle, Derek Weir and Jim McMahon all have/had a security over the ground for the debts owed. Once that debt is paid off it will be removed.
  7. I do also think we seem to have dealt quite early but if someone puts 3m + add ons + sell on (The Scotman) that is very hard to turn down whether we are in debt or not. If someone actually wants to pay more then a bid will be forthcoming sharpish today...
  8. 3m + 250k 'achievable' add ons + sell on....very hard to turn down from any club at any time in the window. Gutted to see Turnbull leave but I didnt think he would be with us come end of August anyway. Just happened a bit earlier than I thought. The way he conducted himself and signing a new contract when he could easily have not have made this situation so different to Hastie leaving thankfully. Cheers for that amazing debut season and cash in the bank Davie boy. Always welcome back in my eyes!
  9. When are we back training? Did someone earlier say fitness tests today?
  10. Haha. That's just not true in the slightest.
  11. I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt but on the face of it so far looks like 3 decent signings in Gallagher, Polworth and Sloth. 3 chances to step up/reignite the careers in Carrol, Hylton and Long. Seems a decent enough balance on the face of it given our finances.
  12. Not necessarily, our offer to him stays on the table to guarantee compensation I think? Maybe just seeing what materialises over the summer as he has our offer as a fall back if no club want to stump up the compo this transfer window I guess.
  13. Any chat on clubs interested in Cadden? Not seen a sniff of a rumour amongst all the Turnbull chat.
  14. George Long was good in the playoff man.
  15. I did some reading a while back when Les was actively involved and then again when we moved over to the current position of WS ownership but I've long forgotten that unfortunately. Those figures you mention ring a bell though from some of that earlier reading. I doubt we would report incorrect figures however reporting in accounts can be confusing, weird and wonderful for many reasons that we all pay accountants for.I do seem to remember Les extended a further loan to the club so we owes the initial 650k + something else. Either way I do think the debts to them will be paid sooner rather than later and a good big chunk by the players Kmcalpin mentions. Which is great. Anyway, I'd like a mercurial winger announced soon please.
  16. Kieran Kennedy signs for Port Vale.
  17. As of the public accounts up to 31/05/2018 the club owed Les £995k and JB £210k So with those players mentioned above, and only a % of transfer fees going to that debt I think we will still be a wee bit off. As a rough (very rough) guide, again from the accounts, Moult and Heneghan netted us £1.04m, and we reduced the joint debt to Les and JB by about £530k (which included a £193k write off by Les due tothe double your money).
  18. Aye, get this conversation elsewhere Since it started Turnbull has went up.in value by half a million!
  19. Knowing a few folk who are tabloid hacks...that only applies to 1 in 5 actually.
  20. Burrows is playing a blinder so far in my eyes. In the space of 24 hours we have went from talk in the paper of Celtic perhaps readying a 1.2m bid, to talk of no less than 2.5-3m in the headlines of the Herald and The Record etc. We all know its paper and social media talk. But nowadays both can have a big impact on transfers and the momentum of them Without the proactive intervention from Burrows originally to say no less than our record fee (setting our stall out early), then a reactive statement saying significantly more than our record fee (furthering that stance but with not 'magic' number mentioned) we would be silent and talking about the normal low ball bids from Celtic et al. Of of much less than 1.2 million. Now we are in a position that all clubs know we aren't dealing at the 400k -8/900k levels like we have recently when we have made a sale like Moult, Heneghan, Kipre or Johnson et al Well played in my eyes.
  21. I'd love for Turnbull to have been included but at the minute, given his position as an creative attacking centre mid, we have more experienced options for the Scotland squad who are all in the main pretty good. Happy for him to impress at national u21 level for a while yet.
  22. Yeah....that's exactly he same thing. Nailed it mate.
