  1. I would say that if not Les Hutchison then that responsibility sits squarely with the board as a whole and the members of the football committee (Weir, Reid and Kellie) to get a grip of it if they think there is a manager/player problem.
  2. Utter dross today and one of the most frustrating things for me is that other than that flukey goal I don't think Dundee really ever troubled us. The way we setup was shite and that sits with the manager. You could see from the first minute the midfield was so unbalanced and uncomfortable. Not a surprise when Moore is playing centre mid and Erwin on the wing. Defence - Long, Ramsden, Laing, and McManus all did fine if not really great from my point of view. A few misplaced passes but in general didnt have much to worry about. Straker, I am pretty sure, isn't a football player - terrible terrible terrible. Midfield - Lasley chased shadows and countless times mis-controlled the ball. He did have a few key blocks and tackles though. Moore tried a lot but offered nothing (not really his fault). Grant seems to have nice touch but couldn't get into the game really. Erwin/N.Thomas/Ainsworth/D.Thomas/Johnson all gave it a go but with a lack of quality. Midfield is where it fell down for me. Attack - Sutton ran about a bit.
  3. Erwin and Moore are strikers to be fair although not deployed there in the first team that much. So all of our strikers are on the park. If we do start with Moore or Erwin in a wing we can at least stick em up front. Same with Johnson.
  4. Aye, you are right. I have Motherwell in a treble so may partially cover that worj money in Dundee!
  5. Boyd aside...back to the game. For some reason I am positive again. Maybe because I haven't seen any of the new signings in the flesh yet. I think we will win, concede and earn me money from the bookies.
  6. Thre key thing here is that even if I have a differing opinion on the comm issue to yourself and Goggles the fact is you won't be the only two so the WS need to address those concerns correctly to keep and then build the numbers.
  7. I think there is a balance to be struck with criticism of the WS here, that's all. I am maybe not as demanding a member from a communication perspective as others which is fine. But, I certainly have my demands and level of expectation elsewhere. Comms were not great before but, in my eyes, now much improved.
  8. Crikey, there would be nobody in a job anywhere in fir park if we followed through on that! Haha.
  9. I am just not that fussed about comms being delivered potentially a little late. That does not permeate into my thinking about other matters related to the WS. Managing expectations, your absolutely right, but shit happens in life. Especially when everyone involved in the WS is doing it off their own back for nowt.
  10. I honestly couldn't give a fuck if their messages come out this week or next. Dont get me wrong I 100% do get the point you make, in principle, delivering on what they are saying. But at the end of the day if all that happens is a message comes out this Monday rather than Sunday and there is no real dependency on that communication coming out on the Sunday in the first place (other than because a poster on a message board wants to 'get the stick out') then I am fine with that. Would you like to see and sign off on their communication plan? It sounds like you want to be their manager.
  11. A small insight into how the Grant loan came about: http://www.motherwell.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=388947
  12. Is Lasley in the Malpas team beating himself in the Baraclough team because he is much better than himself? Or is he in the Baraclough team getting beat by himself because he is so shite?
  13. Like a lot of others I drive so wouldn't be able to take a drink most weeks. But it would be nice to have the choice and if it brings a wee bit more money and maybe a few more folk to the game then I am for it.
  14. Aye, I know where you are coming from. We need to pick up points sharpish there is no getting away from that.
  15. Stats can be cut many ways.....if you look at the last 10 league games for each club...we have taken 8 pts, Ross county 7 pts and St mirren, 10 pts. Replicate that form over the next 10 games and we will be going into the last game of season - St Mirren 28, Well 26, County 22. Squeaky bum time.
  16. All 3 teams will lose the majority of their games up to the split, I think. So, it's probably going to come down who beats who post split out of us, St Mirren and County to decide the final places. Need to be up for that fight.
  17. Don't disagree with that mate. There is no one cause for the problems we have seen on the field this season. It's a collection of things which make it all the harder to correct the problem quickly. That said, there have been some horrendous individual errors and bad decisions throughout the season.
  18. Regarding the Van der Gaag "he was the right man at the wrong time" comment. Load of shite . I assume this came from listening to the podcast and Burrows never said anything of the sort. He said Baraclough and VDG were neck and neck and they went for Barra due to his previous success at Sligo, scouting and player contacts and knowledge of the English league. Shite result again and not sure if Bara is the man to do it but let's not start twisting words and assuming (again) because something is different to the current it is better...
  19. Steelboy - I stuck money on the same treble as you. Sake man... :-)
  20. Baraclough mentioned in one of his first press conferences he told players on the Friday who was starting. Thomas maybe straight in by the looks of it? Nathan Thomas‏@Naththomas19 First game for @MotherwellFC today, can't wait to get started
  21. I think you might be right. Depends how Vigurs shows when he gets rid of the back issue. If he trains like he appears sometime in regards looking lazy then his chances may be slim.
