A 10 min. highlight video: https://www.youtube....h?v=qMApsCXw-9U Looks like a primarily left footed winger I know these videos dont show you the bad aspects of a players game but he looks very tidy!

Scott Boyd link does not fill me with glee to be honest. I am happy to give Barraclough the benefit of the doubt until the end of the month but I did think we would have seen some movement by this time if I am honest. I will be disappointed if we don't bring anyone in as it sounds like, from the interviews and pressers, that we do have some scope in the budget to do it.
-
We weren't doing it already and I was a bit surprised at that (as the manager probably was too) . I would have thought the physio team old and/or new would have suggested it. Didn't think he talked himself up at all...just mentioned it!

Yoga in addition to normal training should provide great benefits with fitness, strength and flexibility. Good step forward in thinking so fair play to the manager. I read an article last year about Man U and Man City doing it twice a week with their squads. Giggs was a big fan.

Henrik got an immediate 2 game ban (Source: http://www.scottishf...s.cfm?page=2567). So, he will be available for the St Johnstone game on the 31st Jan if he is still here. Mark O'Brien suspended for 1 game from the 24/01/15 also.

Not surprised. The wind was mental over here in Uddingston so I can only imagine it was worse up the top of the hill in Motherwell. Probably for the best - more time for our injuries to recover and it means we can't get beat tomorrow. Yas.

Porter is another one I am not fussed about missing out on.

Arguing about how shite our goalies are. Bring back the times of Ruddy and Randolph!
-
What the others have said - strong, pacey, hard worker. In 2013/2014 he had a good start with us and scored 7 of his goals before Christmas. He then had problems with shin splints which hampered his second half of the season and he started less and scored 2 goals between Jan and May. So, if he can stay fit he may replicate that first half season form.

On Ryan Williams (tweet from a local news reporter in Morcambe) Shrimps 24/7 @Shrimps247 Jan 10Bumped into Ryan Williams on way into the Globe. Ball now in Motherwell's court #shrimpslive

Tricky one, I dont even know where to start to be honest. I want to drop a lot of the team but I don't think we have the bodies waiting in the wings for a mass change. For me, that is down to injuries, reserve players not being good enough and also my lack of knowledge on a lot of the youth players. (e.g. Luke Watt I had seen once before). I dont really subscribe to the 'drop them there must be someone better' argument. Nielsen/Twardzik Law OB McManus Hammell Cadden Lasley Carswell Thomas Sutton Erwin GK - Said it before, not a lot between Dan and Nielsen to be honest. Both not great. Similar shot stopping abilities and similar (lack of) catching a cross abilities. If Nielsen is likely to go this window I would stick with Dan rather than drop him. If Nielsen is going to be around until the summer I would make a change and give Nielsen a go. LB - Hammell. Expecting he will be ready for this week. No brainer. RB - Law. For me, has done well there and created 2 goals from that position CB - OB and McManus dont deserve to be there but I genuinely believe they are the best we have. Cummins/Kerr/Reid are worse. Ramsden injured. Ferguson is not ready from what I have seen. RW - Ainsworth has been murder. Give Cadden a go. CM - Lasley and Carswell are our best pairing for the moment. Lawson/Vigurs/Leitch I would consider if fit. LM - Thomas. Only positive of recent weeks. CF - Sutton and Erwin. Not much else to choose from really is there? McHugh/Moore injured.

Not that fussed about Anier. Started well and had the odd good game but I thought selling him for some cash at the time was the right thing to do.
-
Not sure if Mark Wilson is the right way to spend any money we do have to be honest. I said at the start of the season he would be a decent signing but I think we are now in a different position and need to strengthen other areas first. He is friends with McManus and lives locally though so I wouldn't be surprised if he did turn up.

Les Hutchison and Derek Weir were also involved

Get that quote up on the pinboard in the dressing room.

In short, he is going to provide an interest free loan of a currently unspecified amount to the club re-payable over 5 years. In return he gets a controlling interest in the club. In the statements released it essentially says he will come in and develop a plan to make the club sustainable, with a view that in 5 years the controlling interest can transition from him to the Well Society. He will change the structure of the board by bringing in some of his own people while keeping a couple of the current directors. He also wants the well society chairperson to chair the board. Some good statements and background starting here... http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk/2014/12/19/chairmans-message-part-1/ http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk/2014/12/23/chairmans-message-part-2/ http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk/2014/12/17/les-hutchison-interview-part-1/ http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk/2014/12/19/les-hutchison-interview-part-2/

My response was in reply to someone stating he was just a 'jumped up media man'. Point being the job, I would think, is much more than just a 'jumped up media man' type of role. Whether he is qualified or doing a good job I don't think I can comment on as I don't 100% know what his remit is or see him performing day to tday. But I would take a guess, as I think I said earlier on that it is the general management of day to day activities in the club and not about long term strategy or 1st team matters. That would be the job of a chairman/chief exec and at the moment sits with the board as a whole. Not really bothered about the interviewing thing. He is at the game so why not do it for all of the time it takes.
-
Well said Andy_P. Too positive for some on here though.
-
For those that were there today how did the youngsters (Thomas, Cadden, Erwin and MacLean) look?
-
A bit harsh I think. There is a big difference in job role from managing a media team with a couple of direct reports to moving to managing the day to day running of a football club and all the employees therein.
-
I don't think Les and co are in place yet. They had a 30 day window to complete due diligence before making it official so I would think it would only be after that they would be a visible presence around fir park (well his daughter anyway)
-
We lack a chief exec and/or chairman that will give the club the leadership we badly require. Hopefully with Hutchison coming in he will provide that either himself or by the people he brings with him.
-
Shocking stuff. Changes needed but I cant see there being any money to spend on new players or even releasing players to free up wages. So, unless we have some unearthed gems in the youth system Bara has to get this team performing and be very creative in the transfer window.

69mins: Goal - 4-1.An absolutely calamitous moment in the 'Well defence as O'Brien and Twardzik colllide and the ball trickles into the net Jesus.

Likewise, not surprised you disapproved of it reading all the negative stuff you post on here either. Away to fill my half full glass up
