Rumour on Twitter (again) that Pearo is signing up...Mr Burrows stopping short of saying 'no' PLZ Soccer@PLZSoccerStephen Pearson training @MotherwellFC with a view to a deal. Friday maybe? [*]Alan Burrows @Alan_Burrows 15m@PLZSoccer We've not entered any negotiations, far be it close to concluding one, guys. He's being using facilities all summer...

I thought this was going to be something semi serious about club email being hacked or something... Sems a bit off, definitely. I haven't received it so maybe its only you or a select few. That said - even if I did receive it I wouldnt go running here to broadcast it. I would likely just have deleted it after thinking about it for a few secs max. Why dont you send some constructive feedback to the club and help the situation and save some embarrassment?
-
Yeah it will be interesting to see how popular it is and also how it is marketed moving forward. I would assume it won't be available once the season ends until we are a month or so into the next season. Or do we shift completely away from the traditional ticket and offer everyone flexi and with bolt ons like guaranteed seat, friendlies inc...maybe even include a drink/pie each game as a bolt on? Tier the pricing where buying a full season works out cheapest, 15 games a wee bit more, 10 games a bit more again etc. Opportunity to market something very different, if it proves popular AND beneficial to the club.

We have only had 1 home game changed this year - less than any other year - so I wouldn't think so. Good idea regardless.

Meet up earlier?

3 in a row on tv on a Friday night - odd. Funnily enough it works well for me as those are the 3 matches I miss when I am in Cuba so can hopefully pick up a stream!

Good stuff

I'd assume it will be a soft loan in that it will be to get us past the post by a certain date and will be paid off as members get up to the subscription amounts over time. So, it's not a donation. e.g. I pay £10 a month so it takes 30months to get to £300 for the steel membership so a soft loan would essentially enable society to have that £300 now rather than in 30 months time. Multiply that by assumed amounts, or promises the club have for people who have said they would do a monthly plan (like I had indicated) and you have a basis for the payback of a loan. I am guessing, sure there is more to it, but that would seem most likely I would reckon and would play into the recent restructure enabling us to pay by the month which is only a positive in my eyes. I will be interested to see the official announcement when it comes too.

Positive news from the well society on twitter: Tweet 1: We are optimistic we will reach the £800,000 target by the end of November following confidential talks over a soft loan. Tweet 2: We are set to officially launch new instant online payment methods for new members and current members who wish to pay renewals or upgrade The new payment method is ready and on the well society pages. I have been humming and hawing over it for a while and generally been lazy in not signing up. Just now signed up in a matter of seconds and happy to be paying £10 a month towards the basic membership and will up it when I can. I would urge anyone who can to do the same. This is about our clubs future and not just about what you 'get' for the monthly fee. What we 'get' is a club that has a future. Sermon over :-) http://www.thewellsociety.co.uk/join-the-society/

Edit: Moved to the well society thread

Aye, he did - Stephen O'Donnell.
-
Aye - he is a good guy.. Good business head and a big 'Well fan.
-
If all of the above is true then our once heralded great chief exec left the place in a hell of a mess.
-
Don't think he did much wrong yesterday. Tracked his man, made some good tackles and blocks.
-
Honking way to lose but impressed with O'Brien today. Can't see Kerr getting a game.
-
Was injured last week aye.
-
Angol was injured and had signalled to the bench a bit before McManus hobbled about, hence the sub. They delayed it til McManus said he was OK. That said, why he had to disrupt it by moving Reid about is beyond me.

His close control this season been shire too. I am a fan but he needs to do more or Erwin will take his shirt.

My question was more about the Portugal/holiday element. You will see from my previous posts I agree our training in pre season was not fitness based enough but to call the Portugal trip a holiday with no basis is off the mark and jumping to a conclusion based on no evidence.
-
For those on mobile, and not able to see the shoutbox, Rickoza reporting we are apparently talking to this left midfielder - http://en.wikipedia....ki/Martin_Woods More:

...and what evidence is that based on? It seems to be a common train of thought on here that we did nothing in Portugal and it was a holiday. I find that very hard to believe. The reports were double training sessions were the order of the day. We also have been in Portugal before and nobody questioned it when we had a decent start. Are we basing the 'holiday' idea on the fact we posted a couple of youtube videos of the players not training and having a bit of fun? Or is it just a knee jerk reaction and assumption/guess to the poor start to the season and apparent lack of match fitness? Don't get me wrong - I do agree in general about what you say around why we have had a poor start to the season but a holiday? I think not.
-
Fair enough - google maps says its a mile away so about 15/20mins! :-) It dosn't feel like that when we park near there on match days sometimes!
-
The muirhouse site is just round the corner - 5 mins walk from for park.
