Turnbull in talks for a new deal according to the paper.
Also some quotes about how Turnbull's agent wanted him out on loan this year. But Robinson refused as he thought if he trained with us he would get and take his chance.
Aye, 14 in total.
2 in his first season
10 last season
2 so far this season
I like big Bowman for his effort but he's simply not good enough for this level to be a first choice striker in my opinion. I can see the rationale behind the year extension, in a way, given he scored 10, was doing quite well for us beside Moult, and up until the semi final aftermath really. But, I doubt he'll get extended again.
As for Main, I am moving to think the Main we got on arrival was the exception rather than the norm. From memory his previous clubs fans were fine with him leaving. Still living I hope once he gets a goal they will start flowing...nut that needs to happen very soon.
We start scoring goals and we start to rise up the table in my opinion. Certainly move to safety.
Compared to our direct rivals - Hamilton, Dundee and St Mirren our goal difference is miles better for once.
Us -4
Hamilton -15
St Mirren -20
Dundee -24
In fact, we've only conceded 3 more than Hearts and Killie. So, whilst defence I dont think is as good as it should be. Scoring goals is our main problem imo that needs addressed. Wether we can do anything about that before the next transfer window remains to be seen.
Wrong quote (can't edit it)
Yup. Centenary access, disabled area, less food drink and toilet facilities on that side of the stand. So, if they are in the main stand it makes complete sense they are in the cooper side.
For me it's Grimshaw.
Dunne in at left back, Tait to right back, Cadden playing right of the midfield diamond in place of Grimshaw. Cadden has played really well from right back the past two games but doing the above I think gets the 3 of them into very effective roles.
Bigger pie stand and toilets at the Davie Cooper end of the Main Stand. So, better able to deal with a few hundred extra people. Probably the reason.
Folk sit the south stand end too so some folk will always have to move.
Plenty of scope shall we say...out of contract at end of season (going by Transfermarkt):
Aldred, Mbulu, Taylor-Sinclair, McHugh, MaGuire, Livingston
Bigi, Grimshaw, Rose, Gorrin, Cadden, Frear, Turnbull
Bowman, Main, Sammon, Newell (I think)
The goals... https://twitter.com/search?q=saintslimjim&src=typd
Fair play to Turnbull for taking on the shot and it was good one. You don't shoot, Samson doesn't let it go through him.
Lovely move and goal by Cadden.
Yep - agree with the first sentence.
Although, I don't think be would actually be a massive loss on current form in the current system.
However, I do think it could be a massive loss potential wise. Robbo could go, a new manager could easily come in, work with him, play him where he is best suited and revitalise him.....
Not sure that's fair of all opinions....
I'd love to see Cadden stay and get better with us. He can be an asset (see 7 assists last season). But with his contract up soon, the current system and management team I can't see him 1) Improving technically or 2) Wanting to stay.
When Faddy was here I remember Cadden saying he was working with him one to one on his attacking skills. Thats what he needs.
Bit of an unfortunate position with Cadden. When he signed his last contract extension I was expecting he'd go for a fair whack down south before the end of it.
I'm a Cadden fan but he's just not kicked on technically as we had hoped or expected. He's still basically the same player he was when he broke through. Add to that, playing at wing back which at times isn't ideal for him to show what hes good at and it's a bit of a perfect storm
I'm a fan, so I'd like to see him stay, but I can't see anyone coming in for to pay money and he probably needs to move on to progress his career/earnings.
Kind of get what your saying but if a player came out and said "Aye, to be honest, we are shite and just not good enough, not going to change and I'm dreading the next game"?
Shame as they do make the atmosphere.
Certainly an element, hangers on maybe, who want to cause trouble. Assuming it's probably the same lads who started breaking seats at Tynecastle after we conceded...including the back of mine! To be fair the boy stopped doing it when I turned round.
Thought we started brightly today. But we simply don't have enough quality to create and score in thatsystem. If we can't score goals we won't win football matches and are always open to a late goal like that...
Very shoogly peg for Robbo imo.
