Combine Tait and Grimshaw and we have an A1 right back! Until we can do that its going to be a choice between technique and lack of pace vs. pace and lack of technique. Personally I dont think Tait's technique covers up the weakness his pace now brings. Conversely Grimshaw's pace doesn't cover up what we lose in his lack of technique. Hopefully Tait is just struggling with something hampering his pace as hes still only 29 and I'd like to see him playing for us for a couple years yet.

I'm a huge fan of Tait but unfortunately his pace is getting him in to trouble more often than not nowadays. Its shaded ever so slightly again over the summer. Not much in between Tait and Grimshaw now IMO. Both different skill sets. Tait a better technical footballer but nowhere near as direct/fast/dynamic as Grimshaw.

Hard to judge Ross at all yet. I like what I hear in the interviews/podcasts. He's also got a very new young team to bring on

Annoyed we didnt manage to cash in on Hastie to a level we all want but fair play to the boy if he has backed himself, earns a wedge and does well. Wee while to go yet to prove he will do well but the more Motherwell youth players who do well the better in my eyes. Albeit I dont want to lose everyone for the minimum compo!

Walked out the main stand without crutches after the Hibs game and taking selfies with some kids. So he's been off them for a wee while.

18 months ago I thought he deserved a shot as well. Since then though he has lost quite a bit more pace, in my opinion, which would just see him roasted at a level above us I think.

Hartley, from previous teams and moves, seems to be on that will move on for games. So I'd take a leap and suggest he is as open to a move as the club probably are.

I thought Hendry looked quite good at Dundee. Didnt think he was good enough to make it at Celtic, also was ridiculous he got called up to the Scotland squad. But, I think he would be fine at our level. (Puts tin hat on)

Wouldn't be surprised to see Hartley leave this window to seek game time. So the Hendry interest might not be that far off the mark to plug a gap and challenge Dunne. That's on the assumption Robinson doesn't think Devine is ready for that and MaGuire is earmarked for defensive mid.

Working in Edinburgh, I have the pleasure of knowing quite a few jambos who go to the games and they are scunnered with Levein and their team at the moment. They are not confident at all, especially now Naismith is a big doubt.

Yep, my view too basically. Clear to see some very new and young lads out there. No Semple or Cornelius. Thought Devine showed he was more progressed than most of his team mates and had a decent game. Thought our number 2 also showed a lot of promise. Got a free tunnocks wafer though, so that was good.
