  1. That guy was kicked out of the hotel as we were trying to sneak him in, he didn't book a room!!! We met up with him at Prestwick Airport after he posted on here and it turns out we knew him from years ago. My favourite memories are drinking till 3am in our hotel in Paris Beauvais (we asked the guy what time the bar shut, he said what time you going to bed at) the night before the game then getting up at 6 for the train to Paris Est, breakfast in Paris, a cheese baguette and a pint of Stella, delicious. Sitting in the station as the other Well fans arrived was brilliant, so many well known faces. Then the train journey also brilliant, although I was that drunk I thought I put my kilt on back to front??? The square was tremendous especially when my mate saw our special couriers arrive (the lassies who went over by Taxi) with two bottles of Buckfast. He was like a wean on Christmas morning. Then we tanned one of the bottles on the march to the ground. The penalty save, the lager in the ground, (I know it was low in alcohol but I didn't know then) even the walk back to the square all tremendous. The bar in the square we met loads of pals and ther was a great atmosphere. I want back into Europe as soon as possible (against Real Mallorca???)
  2. This is a brilliant decision. I was in 2 minds about renewing my season ticket as I hate sitting in the East or Phil stands and the scum are sitting in our seats. Lets fill the Cooper stand (or at least fill it better then the bigot brothers) every OF game now and have Fir Park jumping.

    Vs Kilmarnock

Who's all going by train on Saturday? We're heading down but when I checked the train times we'll need to head out on the 10.16 changing at Central getting us in Kilmarnock for 11.41. Not much time for a swally. Coca Cola for the train methinks.
  4. How much is it for a pint in the mega bar? Week before pay day, recession and everything
  5. It's the Mega Bar, he'll be fine, if he was 14 he might get asked for i.d. I think it will be alright as long as he is not drinking alcohol.
  6. You can always do a Nancy?!?!LOL
  7. Yep I'll buy my ticket at the door cannot wait to meet my all time hero Joe Wark. Plus Bobby Graham, videos of the Cup Finals and 2 for 1 drinks offer, brilliant!!! See you all there. You going Jonesy?
  8. I have just realised I am on early shift tomorrow and Tuesday (need to stop drinking buckaroo before posting), can I buy tickets at the ticket office until 5 o'clock?
  9. This looks like being a great night but why is it not a Friday or Saturday night? Can I pay at the door?
  10. My sentiments exactly. Like Fatcalf I was there in the seventies and eighties when we had a wee bit in the middle of the covered terracing, (East Stand) and that was it, every man for himself. Spat on, verbally abused and treated like shite. That was by the bigotted scum not our majority shareholder, (he does not spit on us).
  11. Yep the mhanky mhob are in town so we are moved from the seats that we pay good money for to sit in for "EVERY" home game. Now we are moved to sit in the East or POD stands where we don't want to sit (if we did we would have season tickets for there). We just accept this pish from our majority shareholder and sit and listen to IRA songs and anti british bile from these thick feckers sitting in our seats. Grow a pair of balls Boyle and give us our seats back!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Quinn brings hee haw to our team, he cannot pass a ball cross the ball or throw the ball. I would give Saunders a run in the team at right back. Mcghee will not play him though he will stick with Quinn (not at right midfield hopefully that was yet another tactical nightmare from our leader). After the disaster that was the St Mirren game (where the tactics in the first game helped put us out the cup), we need to change it. This is the team I would like to see. Smith Saunders Craigan Malcolm Reynolds O'Brien Klimpl Hughes Hammell Sutton Clarkson Malcolm is at centre half to allow Reynolds to move to left back which in turn lets Hammell push up to left mid where he would be very effective and give the team what it is missing we have no balance Fitzpatrick has no confidence and has the same problems as Quinn Would change Clarkson for Murphy after an hour and use his pace against the mhanky defence.
  13. We had a home draw against St Mirren, the manager played 4-5-1. We drew 1 - 1. We gave away the advantage of playing at home, lost the replay away. The managers tactics in the first game are to blame. Can anyone defend those tactics?????????????????
  14. I thought he was interviewed as a Well fan before the Cup Final in 1991??? Must have dreamt it!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. My Greatest Motherwell Eleven would be; Sieb Dykstra Luc Nijholt Joe Wark Willie McVie Gregor Stevens Jamie Dolan Phil O'Donnell Davie Cooper Willie Pettigrew Tommy Coyne James McFadden What a Team that would have been
  16. The big guy with blonde hair that used to be in Taggart, James Mcpherson I think, He is definately a Well fan.
  17. Well said Jonesy. When we went to France in the EUFA we were at least hoping for an away goal but not with the formation he played. (Shame you couldn't make it to Nancy Jonesy). The home leg was even worse. Todays formation is the most puzzling formation ever. ONE STRIKER AGAINST ST. MIRREN IN THE SCOTTISH CUP AT FIR PARK????????????? I felt as if he wasn't bothered about winning the game and I don't think I was the only one. There was more atmosphere on the moon than was at Fir Park today and for a cup game too.
  18. We Should play "We are the Champions" by Queen. Change the lyrics slightly, (Freddie was a Well fan). WELL ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIEND AND WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TO THE END, WELL ARE THE CHAMPIONS, WELL ARE THE CHAMPIONS, NO TIME FOR BIGOTRY COS WELL ARE THE CHAMPIONS. OF THE WORLD. Go on sing it you know it makes sense.
  19. We have 4,500 - 5,000 loyal Well fans who turn up when they can, you can open the gates and pay people to come in and they wouldn't. You cannot change the brainwashed from supporting rangers/celtic, the parents wouldn't allow it or the people haven't the guts to do it, (peer pressure, slagging, etc.) Get them young, 5-15, (£2 - £5 to get in) treat them as any good business would treat repeat customers, treat them as special!!! (give us back the Cooper for one thing). All it needs is small inexpensive things that make people believe they are valued customers such as birthday cards sent out for birthdays, christmas cards, special discounts in Well Shop and discounts on catering on match days. (they need it with the prices, £1.60 for a bovril is a fecking disgrace). Give all Well fans one thing that is lacking, Good Customer Service.

    Happy New Year

Who would have believed last New Years day that we would have qualified for Europe and had that brilliant Nancy adventure in 2008. Being a Well fan is brilliant and we all should feel so proud to support our wee club and not to support one of the bigot brothers. We all have opinions and will disagree all too often but we are the Motherwell family and will support the team long after MM, Boyle and any other hangers on are gone. Hopefully after we get a win on Saturday, if Boyle rectifies the ridiculous Cooper stand situation and our Admin gets sorted, (I could sort it, no problem), it could be onward and upwards. 2009 could be a great year for us, I hope so. I wish ALL Well fans everywhere a very, very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
