  1. The Higdon haters will still hate Higdon, the Forbes haters will still hate Forbes. We have won 2 home games on a trot, what happens if we lose the next 2? Enjoy the good times when we have the good times and remember you can't change somebody's opinion. Only they can change it. We are Motherwell, our fans are our fans. we all have different opinions. And the world keeps turning.
  2. Well, I e-mailed StewartRegan@scottishfa.co.uk and got a reply from StewartRegan@scottishfa.co.uk So who replied and said he was Stewart Regan if it wasn't Stewart Regan? The SFA are so amatuerish they do not have the sense not to get in a public slanging match.
  3. Here is the reply I got from Stewart Regan, this is the Chief Executive: Dear Mr Irving Many thanks for your feedback. With the greatest respect the one point you haven't mentioned in your note below is the fact that the player, Michael Higdon, chose to make an offensive gesture after he scored his goal. It was not the raising of his arm, it was not the raising of both arms, it was the 'get it up you' gesture not dissimilar to the offence committed by Leigh Griffiths of Hibs recently. As an organisation that is trying to promote positive behaviour we are not prepared to accept such behaviour. This is the matter that was considered by the panel and the reason for his suspension. Kind regards Stewart Regan Stewart M. Regan Chief Executive The Scottish F.A.
  4. What a joke, I am totally pissed off at this stupid ruling. I have sent this e-mail to the sfa, lunny, regan and doncaster. I won't hold my breath for a reply. "Good Afternoon, Can you explain to me and the rest of the Motherwell supporters and, indeed, the vast majority of football fans in the country why Michael Higdon has received a 1 match ban? The ruling states "Annex C, Offence A5: Offensive, Insulting or Abusive Language and/or Gestures". He was celebrating after scoring a goal and raised his arm, who was offended, insulted or felt abused after his so called gesture? Once again, one of the so called lesser teams are used as scapegoats for your nonsensical rules, while the attendences are dwindling at such an alarming rate that within a few years nobody will attend games. Instead of improving our game, these ludicrous rulings will make us even more of a laughing stock in world football. In the meantime the Old Firm can continue with the jolly wee sing songs and your association does nothing". Gordon J. Irving
  5. I am talking about our squad. What happens if Randolph gets injured?
  6. I can see why we are not happy about our recent form, especially our performances at Fir Park. However, when you look at the bigger picture, we have to be realistic. We have a first team squad of about 20. Of the 20, how many have been used, how many would you use? Randolph, a good keeper but not happy at a wee bit of abuse last week. Hateley, good right back but not brilliant and not a midfielder. Hammell, good left back and having a great season. Craigan, solid experienced and his reading of the game is brilliant. Hutchison, get this guy signed up long term, a great centre half and is learning all the time from Craggs. Humphrey, (is that spelling OK)? has neen found out big time this season and is not first pick. Daley, looks a wee bit better than Humphrey but, again, final ball? Jennings, a solid centre mid, 100% every game. Lasley, same as Jennings, except as well as being the housewives favourite, he would play for us in barefoot on burning coals. Law, a great player but I am not convinced he is playing in his correct position or being held back. Murphy, on his game, brilliant but is found wanting in the games when we really need him. Is he being played out of position? Higdon, the much maligned centre forward, a big man who could and should score more goals but are we playing the right formation to get the best out of him? Clancy, a good right back, not convincing in the centre. Mc Hugh, scored the winner v Aberdeen then dropped, then an injury. Great confidence boost to be dropped after scoring the winner. Page, is he going to get a run of games or is he not good enough? Forbes, see Page. Carswell, can't get a run in the team, when a centre mid is out due to having Hateley centre mid with Clancy at right back. Smith, is he good enough?, he's had no game time.(now away on loan). Hollis, out injured but apart from the game at the piggery before the alleged cup final, when is he going to get a game? Saunders, long term injury but will be good when he comes back and re-gains his old form. Lawless, Halsman, Pollock and Howarth, are they going to get a chance? You can see that, in my opinion, we have a limited but good squad. I do not think we are playing the correct formation, I prefer 4 - 4 - 2, with Higdon and Murphy up front. I realise that we are 4th in the league with 2 games in hand but some of our performance, especially at home, have been woeful. Mr McCall is doing fine but does need to get some tactical know how, 4 - 5 - 1 is OK against Barcelona but, come on, against the Old firm? Results show it does not work. Stop respecting that pair of scummy shite and get ripped right into them. We also need to start to give the youngsters a chance we are never going to find out how good they are without game time. We also have only won anything in our history with a long term manager in charge, Hunter, Stevenston and McLean.
  7. Did you not see Leigh Griffiths of Hibs after scoring against Cowdenbeath? He was giving his own fans dogs abuse and gestured to them. He has been banned for this. I hear the shite in the Cooper stand as well and while I do not condone it I can understand fans being frustrated by our performances. Of course we should all be supporting the team but one home league win in nine is rubbish and McCall and the players need to get this sorted and quickly. As soon as we start winning again then the abuse will, hopefully, stop.
  8. I can remember waiting for my ticket for the 1991 Cup Final and the tickets were being sold from a wee window to the side of the main entrance of the main stand. (No ticket office in those days). There were thousands waiting to get tickets and when I got to the front there was Bill Dickie, the Chairman, selling the Cup Final tickets, he must have been there for hours. When I travelled to Denmark for the Odense game as I was having a breakfast beer, Bill spotted the me,with my Well top and kilt on, and came over for a chat. He was certainly a true Well fan and always stopped for a blether about the Well. His enthusiasm will be missed, I hope his family and friends can find comfort at this time. He'll be going to Well heaven alongside Davie Cooper, Phil O'Donnell, Jamie Dolan and Paul McGrillen and every other Well fan or player who has passed away.
  9. Born in Newarthill, brought up in Holytown, went to Holytown Primary then Bellshill Academy. The majority at both schools were rangers fans and the slagging I got was constant, I grew up despising them and my feelings have deepened since then. Thats why I hate the h**s without bus fare shite from the other scum. I moved to Chapelhall, (don't ask), then I moved to Muirhouse where I can see the South Stand from my bedroom window. Can walk down in 10 minutes but it takes me 2 hours to come home, (via Jack Daniels)
  10. Some of the guys from that era will back me up on that one, if you know what I mean. By the light of the silvery moon, (altogether now) :whistling:

  13. Logged into it last night. Took my user name and password no problem. I am very impressed, well done to everybody. Just one suggestion, can you give Keith his own show?
  14. You state, "The main problem is that standing at the ground is against the rules and we all know that that's the case. When you buy a ticket for the game you thereby agree to abide by the rules". You then state, "As for the old firm fans standing and nothing being done that is also not right but two wrongs don't make a right as the saying goes". We have at most, 1 - 200 fans standing, they have 4 - 5,000 fans standing, the more people standing the bigger the hazard, therefore the greater the risk of an incident / accident occurring. Also, to make matters worse, from the health and safety point of view, the cellik hordes are now copying Man City and doing that ridiculous thing where they turn with backs to the game and start jumping up and down. How dangerous is that? What is done or said to the old firm fans? NOTHING. The Old Firm standing at games is an issue that must be raised, especially if our fans continue to be treated like this. It is cowardice by stewards and police to say nothing to them but pick on the supporters like ours who were ejected yesterday. Why don't the police tell old firm fans to sit down? Can anybody tell me that. Where is the Health and Safety rules, Taylor report guidelines or law then? Or is it just because there are more of them and the stewards and police are shitebags? One rule for them and one for us. It is time to boycott away games until this shite stops.
  15. I am sure he was capped for the Scottish League v English League and was typically brilliant. He was only kept out of the Scotland team by the celtic right back Danny McGrain being played at left back as rangers' Sandy Jardine was right back, (and that is not cellic-esque paranoia, that is true). Don't even mention Willie Donnachie!!! :wallbash: I think he was only booked once or twice throughout his career and one of them was when jock wallace played him as a sweeper. After the CIS Final in 2005 we got back to the Fir Park Club after the game, pissed off, depressed and dejected. As we were going in, who was standing at the door, none other than my all time hero, Joe Wark, I asked him to come in for a drink, he said he was going somewhere but he would come in for one. An hour later and after listening to me going on about how good he was, (how much I loved him and much more drunken man love sentiments). He made his apologies and left. He is a gentleman and a true Motherwell Legend. P.S. Hammy is getting there if he keeps playing the way he does.
  16. Sorry, can't remember that game.... :whistling:
  17. Hammell is a great left back and this season I think he is consistently doing the business, Nicky Law has helped him. Rab McKinnon was a different type of player but was solid. Tom Boyd was an average player until we signed Davie Cooper. I have never seen such a transformation in a player in Tom Boyd. He used to bomb down the wing to support Davie Cooper as did Phil, I believe Davie made both of them better players. Luc Nijholt was a right back was he not? He was, however, one of the most talented players I have ever seen. The question is though, "Hammell, is he the best ever? For you youngsters, yes, but for us guys of a certain age there is only one defender who was absolutely brilliant in just about every game that I went to, (pretty much every game in the 70's).and that was JOE WARK, my absolute hero. :notworthy: I honestly never, ever, saw him having a bad game.
  18. I can't access it either, I paid by debit card and the £1.99 came off. Tried numerous times had a few e-mails suggesting what the problem could be, I tried, but have given up. £1.99 down the swanee.
  19. So, what that tells us is our very own club only cares abot the money from the mutants.. At one of the home games earlier in the season, (can't remember which one), I was told to get back in my seat by a steward because I jumped into the stairs beside my seat...........AFTER WE HAD SCORED A GOAL. He stated that it was a health and safety issue. I was not standing in seated viewing areas I was standing, temporarily, whilst cheering a goal from my team. Fair enough if there was some consistency, however, 3rd paragraph of the fans charter states: For security and safety reasons, under the terms of our Ground Regulations, standing is forbidden in seated viewing areas, whilst the match is under way. The club is obliged to advise any spectators in breach of this requirement to desist and failure to comply with this request may result in the person, or persons, being removed from the ground. Both sides of the POD and the entire South stand were standing. What was done? Hee haw, not even a message through the tannoy. Before anybody starts on about there were too many of them, the police can't throw them all out. 1. Send a message to Celtic and Rangers stating that standing will not be permitted during the match and if it happens, they will be thrown out. Tannoy message at the start and during the game. The police to pick one or two at a time, (usually the smallest) and throw them out and arrest them. They'll soon get the message. Again, I repeat, we need to look after our own.
  20. If that is the case then we would be losing less money. Get them all tae feck, South stand only.
  21. That's what I would do. Charge them 30 quid a skull as well. No concessions either. We have been talking about the subject of giving them the Cooper, not giving them the Cooper. Giving them the POD, not giving them the POD. (While we're on the subject, who was it who told a bare faced lie that the reason they got the Cooper was that opposition fans cannot share a stand)????????????????????????????????? We should be looking after our own, full stop. Get them out of the Phil O'Donnell, don't give them the Cooper or the East if it inconveniences a Well fan in any way, shape or form. Why should we move? As Kirky SuperSub says, .."You're getting the South Stand and that's it, like it or fucking lump it" We will miss out on how much money, eg (£25, X, 1,600 = £40,000). It is a lot of money to lose, however, who do you want as a customer, 1,600 badly behaved arrogant, obnoxious, self righteous, foul mouthed bigots (counting the other tits as well), 2 - 4 times a season, (and that is only when they all turn up). Or 4 - 4,500 hardy loyal fans who will be there no matter what. (at least 18 times a season, 4 times that when we get to a cup final of course) We cannot alienate our loyal fans anymore, these are the same people who have ploughed hundreds if not thousands of pounds into the club throughout the years. Our ground lay out does not lend itself to proper segregation. We put them in the South, (the away stand), then we just make do with the income we get, it's called good housekeeping. I will also leave whenever I want, full stop.
  22. Not this old chestnut again!!!! What is the other evil of which you speak? What stand do you sit in? We are not giving them The Cooper, it wasn't half empty yesterday, if anything it was three quarters full. I and all the other Cooper season ticket holders have been through this shite before and we gave the answer. NO WAY!!!!!! P.S. I left early yesterday as we were 2 - 1 down, we just had a man sent off, there was 3 minutes to go and I didn't want to walk through the most arrogant bunch of manky b*stards in the world with my 7 year old daughter. I hope that is O.K.,I'm really, really, sorry and won't do it again. If we would keep the scum in (the other c*nts as well) for 10 minutes after the game then we wouldn't have as much of a problem.
