  1. Thank you, saves me typing out an entire response myself. Agree with pretty much all of this.
  2. Sorry but it's not too much to ask to have a shot on target is it? I hate this Barcelona, Real Madrid line that people trot out. I'm not angry we lost, I've been a Motherwell fan long enough to know we do so regularly. I'm angry at the way we lost with inept tactics and us throwing away a chance to get some points back on the board by being too negative. We showed far too much respect to an average Hearts team and have left the game with nothing. I feel sorry for anyone that paid £25 to go and watch that performance, I watched it at home and felt short changed.
  3. Short and simple points from me I'd like to address: Higdon up front on his own, really? Surely after 20 or so failed attempts at this over the last year and bit McCall would begin to realise it doesn't fucking work. He needs support and someone to play off him which he didn't have until it was too late. Tactics weren't working, we hardly made the Hearts keeper make a save yet it took over 70 mins for McCall to change it. Hearts are bang average yet instead of going and having a go and imposing our own game on them we went and matched up with them and got sucked into playing their game instead of focusing on our own. Why not play the same teams and tactics as we did at Pittodrie? Where we played good football, were on top for most of the game and created plenty of chances. Far too cautious today and it was an OF esque performance from us. Overly negative, huffed and puffed and looked like getting nothing. Worse teams with worse players than us will go(and have gone) to Tynecastle this season and pick up points. They were there for the taking yet we were so insipid and pedestrian that we never really looked like getting anything. A great chance for points thrown away in my opinion.

    Hearts

Hutchinson had a very good 45 mins. The rest failed to match that level in the full 90.
  5. Fuck off McCall, shite cautious tactics that you took far too long to change. Lasley at attacking midfield? Fucking ridiculous.
  6. Does anyone on here have the highlights of the 2-2 cup game at Tynecastle from a few years ago. I know there's the odd clip in compilations on Youtube but I've not seen the full highlights in years and was just wondering if anyone on here had them?
  7. £25 & £20 is a rip off for a Sunday morning game on the telly, be lucky to get 300 odd away fans. Joke pricing. Hearts are a gash though, Motherwell win.
  8. Pretty sure St.Mirren wiped out all their debt when they moved stadium. Tesco gave them 15m if I remember correct so that they could build on the site, this cleared their debts and helped pay for their new stadium and a training ground for them. Sadly I can't see anyone handing us that sort of money to build on Fir Park.
  9. Stopped the rot, avoided a third defeat on the bounce and didn't concede. Good day all round.
  10. Still a few weeks away from being back. Seems to be the spark that's gone missing from their earlier performances. Was by far the best player on the park for them when we played them at Tannadice, tore us to shreds in the 1st half. In saying that Russell and Daly certainly still have the ability to cause us problems. Likewise we have the players to cause their leaky defence problems. I think it will be the case of which teams dodgy defence is less shit on the day will win.
  11. He's made several mistakes today and took out Commons again today when he was running towards goal. Fortunately someone must have been covering his arse to avoid his third red card this season. He then gifted the opposition's main threat another golden chance as he did on Wednesday to give them the lead. Blame McCall for misjudging a high ball? Nah that was all Hutch's own doing, just like losing McCulloch for the opener on Wednesday. Or was that McCall's fault as well? Yet Jamie Murphy can do no wrong in your eyes? Seriously are you banging Murphy? Why is he exempt from criticism from you? If it's Higdon or Ojamaa you can't wait to stick the boot in yet wee Murph seems to be the golden boy in your eyes.
  12. I agree we're lacking a leader, a lot people rightly said after Wednesday they'd like someone like McCulloch and I've already stated we're missing Craigan for me. Look at the 2nd goal today, young centre half having a poor game makes a bad mistake and puts the ball into his own net and who's there to tell him to get up and keep his chin up and get on with it? Young Zaine Francis Angol(who done himself proud I thought today) who picked him up and looked like he told him to get over it. Where were the experienced players? I'm not advocating mollycoddling players but who was there to lift the young player's head when it went down? Hateley and Hutchinson weren't interested. Randolph was too busy going apeshit. Experienced pro like Ramsden said nothing. Our captain and leader Lasley had his head down trudging towards the half way line. Not even just young Cummins though did anyone see any passion, aggression or an attempt to lift his teamates from anyone in Claret and Amber. As soon as the first goal went in it was head down, stopped talking and we just went to pieces. We desperatley imo miss someone like Craigan and his experience to bark orders and talk the younger players through games. I even noticed Clancy was quite good this and had a bit of aggresion about him and wasn't affraid to speak out. Nobody willing to take charge and lead on the park for me and we looked like a rudderless ship today and not for the first time this season.
  13. Our defence is terrible at the minute, we really miss a Craigan/Clancy organising and talking at the back. I know I'll get stick from the Hutch lovers on here but Hutchinson has been fucking dire for the most part of this season and was caught out several times again today and could have had a third red card of the season(I was surprised he wasn't sent off to be honest considering who we were playing). I've never been as big a fan as some on here and have always seen him as rash and prone to errors, has this been exposed more without an experienced centre half next to him? Does he need an older head to hold his hand and talk him through games? Cause he's cenrtainly dropped his level of performance from last season if you ask me. I'd have had Ramsden next to him from the start today as Cummins had a shocker in midweek and sadly had another again today. Red card, own goal and poor all round distribution. Hutchinson wasn't much better and the two of them were caught out by the same ball over the top time and time again it was infuriating. Hopefully Hammell's back next week and we can get ... Hateley--Hutchinson----Ramsden---Hammell Out infront of Randolph who deserves better protection than he got today, big man was immense. I'm all for giving kids a chance but we haven't kept a cleansheet since the opening day. Back to basics, get the older heads at the back and build from there. Then going forward, Ojamaa MUST start. He improves Higdon's game tenfold just purely by offering support to the big man with his running and movement. He might be greedy at times but as I've said at least he doesn't shirk responsibility and if he had been playing today we might have seen a fucking shot at goal. Shocking that McCall dropped him after the last few games yet kept Humphrey in. Humph to the bench, if I see him move out the way of another tackle I don't hold myself responsible for my actions. Would consider starting Carswell as we could do with some more energy and somebody to get stuck in. Far too many gaps today that needed filled(Jenno anyone?) where Celtic had too much space and time to pick their pass. To be honest apart from Randolph nobody should be certain of a start next week. If McCall want's us to forget these last few games he better boot a few arses as certain players haven't kicked a ball this week so should be fairly fresh. I'd take a cleansheet as I'd fancy to score at least once against United's defence.
  14. Fucking exactly this. Said it when he came on and with in a minute he'd taken on the big lumbering defender and won a free kick, more than Murphy or Humphrey had managed between him in the previous 80 odd mins. Not to mention once again Higdon is woefully short of support when he's not on the pitch, can count himself very unlucky to have been dropped for Murphy or for Humhrey to keep his place ahead of him depending on which way you look at it.
  15. I never said they where. It was in response to MB asking about McHugh's goals to game ratio which does looks quite impressive. As it goes I'd start one of either Ojamaa/McHugh every week as those two are the best at offering support to Higdon. You'd also struggle to find a bigger Ojamaa fan than me and I'm under no illusions as to how much he brings to the team. I've often said that Higdon is a better player when he has Ojamaa around him and thought the two of them were excellent at Pittodrie(however both were poor last night). I too however would like to see Bob get more of a chance but I also feel he'll have to take the Steven Lawless route to first team football.
  16. My rough working for so far this season.. Bob McHugh 1 goal in 190 mins = goal every 190 mins Jamie Murphy 2 goals in 700 mins = goal every 350 mins Michael Higdon 7 goals in 915 mins = goal every 131 mins Henrik Ojamaa 0 goals in 662 mins = no goals in 662 mins Obviously doing it for more than one season would be pretty time consuming but it's still interesting to see that only Higdon has a better goals to minute ratio than McHugh and it has to be taken into account the difficulty of coming on as a sub and the infrequency of his appearances has made it hard for him to get a run of form going.
  17. He's behind Hutchinson, Cummins, Ramsden and also Kerr as well I imagine for a place at centre back. He'll find game time very limited and he's even failed to make the bench a few times this season. A regular run of games to get the confidence up at a lower level could be just what he needs. Don't see the problem, makes sense to me and hopefully if he does well there he can come back and try and force his way into the team here. If he can't he'll be released at the end of the season.
  18. 7 games, 6 defeats, 1 win & an aggregate score I think of 17-3. Not a lot better is it?

    Rangers

Same as above, anyone who votes for somone other than Randolph must have been watching a different game from me. The rest were varying degress of shite
  20. He wasn't the worst to be fair, then again that's hardly saying much.
  21. It wasn't McCall who switched off at the corner and he didn't lose McCulloch in the six yard box. He also wasn't one of the five Motherwell players who failed to pick up Dean Shiels the only fucking player they had in the box when the ball came back in for the second. McCall and the players are both to blame. Some of the performances were fucking shocking and they should all be having a fucking look at themselves. As I said Randolph would be the only player to get pass marks.
  22. This ^^^ I said the fucking same, say what you like about Daley he'll stick up for himself and won't be bullied. McCulloch tried to batter him off the ball at the end and Omar just shrugged him off a threw him away. If that had been Humphrey he would have been in a fucking heap on the floor. Not that I'm Daley's biggest fan either but I was close to fucking tears watching Humphrey tonight.
  23. Well done Randolph, several good saves and stopped a pumping, can hold his head high. The rest were fucking gutless and I include you McCall. Sevco players might earn more etc. but Queen of the South's boys that went there earn a fraction of what our boys did but went there and showed some bottle and had a go. I don't believe we lied down, I believe McCall is simply a fucking shitebag when it comes to playing them(both) and the win against Celtic a few years ago was nothing but a fluke.
