  1. Hughes has left, no great surprise. Shame it didn't work out. My link
  2. Nah sorry mate not being funny dunno if you were at the Clyde game but if you were you'll know what we're up against. We weren't great, had half a team out, two boys having their first start that haven't been seen since and a few other fringe players like Forbes, McHugh, Hollis & Page playing and cruised to a 4-0 win. We may be playing shite but we're still a million miles away from teams in the third. This isn't some misplaced arrogance, I know two games are never the same and that we have to have the right attitude and do the basics but if this is less than 3-0 us I will be very surprised. I just want to see some of the young boys getting a run out and a few fringe players with some of the first team as well of course, some decent fitba, hopefully see a bit of Ojamaa(if he signs) and finally a few fucking goals at home. If we can't score a few against this lot we really should worry. But we will win, comfortably. EDIT- Quoted myself, meant to quote David.
  3. We won't lose, no chance. We will win comfortably.
  4. I was resigned to defeat before kick off, what is it 14 years now since we last won there? Then I heard Jelavic wasn't playing and I felt we might keep it respectful, then I heard Hateley was in midfield and well you just knew we were going to get a pumping. Well we couldn't ask for a better game next week to bounce back.
  5. Clancy in for Daley. Hateley in a midfield 3 with Lasley & Hughes. EDIT- I assume, unless we go to a back five.
  6. Motherwell have offered Estonian striker Henrik Ojamaa a contract until the end of the season. The 20-year-old impressed manager Stuart McCall during a trial spell and the former Derby trainee is a free agent after leaving Finnish side RoPS. McCall said: "We have offered him a deal until the end of the season and we're hopeful that will be accepted. "It won't be done for him to be involved at Ibrox because of all the paperwork over the New Year period."
  7. Anything other than another pumping will be a result in my eyes.
  8. If it was up to me I'd make a few changes: Hughes out- doesn't look like it's working, needs game time which he won't get much of when Jennings is available. Think Carswell could be a long term replacement for Jenno if/when he leaves, I'd give him a start. Wouldn't be adverse to seeing Forbes play either. Daley out- Looked good in spells but would like to think Humphrey would have a point to prove and hopefully come out all guns blazing and give Austin McCann a torrid time again. Murphy out- McHugh in. People keep saying he's improving but not for me, he's been poor for a while. Give Bob a game, someone with good movement and a bit of agression to play off Higdon. Essentially we've been poor for a wee bit but still grinding out results, some players look off form. The result at the weekend has been coming. So why not give some of the younger, hungrier players a chance. Try and freshen things up. Play at a higher tempo and try and get some support to Higdon. Sadly I think McCall will make one change at most, probably Humphrey for Murphy or Daley. We'll approach the game in the same way with them sitting in and us struggling to break them down. Won't be much in it 0-0 most likely or the odd goal either way. If we don't win our next two home games then questions have to be asked as we should be looking for two wins against the two worst teams we'll play at Fir Park all season.
  9. Did Law touch the ball in the 2nd half? Seriously? Has Humphrey dropped down pecking order that he wasn't even considered to come on, maybe sending a message to get his finger out? I would have put him on to at least try and give us something new, he couldn't do any worse than what was already on the pitch. Think he will start against Dunfermline, hopefully he's got a point to prove. Plus he tore Austin McCann a new one at East End Park so now seems as good a time as any for him to return to form. Also please push Murphy closer to Higdon or play McHugh along side him. He's crying out for some support. Sadly I can see McCall going with much the same again. However if we fail to beat Dunfermline at home, who are utterly ganting then surely he's got to think about a change of tactics.
  10. Shite performance. Hateley had one of the worst performances I've ever seen. Higdon isolated and frustrated. Thought Hughes was one of our better players, at least he looked liked he cared. Hutch done all right. The rest... Well I could be here all day. Bad day at the office. Our top goalscorer from last season who Hearts offered more money too than us, couldn't even make their bench. That shows the gulf in budget and puts into perspective what we've achieved so far this season. Third at Christmas, few points clear with a game in hand. We couldn't have asked for much more at the start of the season, so let's not go overboard with the abuse on here for once. Onwards to Dunfermline, if we don't win that one I might start to worry. Start McHugh up front with Higdon, none of this one up front pish again at home, it isn't working. They've a ganting defence which we must take advantage of. Oh and a word for the fans, were brilliant today well done.
  11. I'd be devastated if that's what happens. I'd rather play Forbes than move Hateley into midfield again.
  12. Would be tempted to put Carswell in for Jennings as he seems the most likely to replicate Jennings workrate in the middle of the park. At home to Dunfermline we could use Hughes's passing ability, especially as we'll probably have the majority of the possesion. However on Saturday away to Hearts I worry having Hughes in there as well as Daley, Murphy, Law & Higdon might be a bit too attacking and could leave us exposed in the middle of the park. Interesting one for McCall but I suspect with Hughes's contract up in two games he will get the chance to impress. Team really picks itself apart from that, execpt for Humphrey or Daley and going with current form there's only going to be one winner there. Enjoy a day out a Tynecastle, would love a win and hopefully we can do it.
  13. Big blow for the Hearts game. Oh well a window of opportunity for Hughes, Forbes or Carswell to stake a claim for a place in the team.
  14. He started brightly for the first 5 mins, beat his man once or twice and won a corner. I was thinking he was gonna give us a great performance as he looked fired up when he came on. Then he made a few bad decisions, lost the ball, the crowd got restless and he went back into his shell for the rest of the game. It wasn't just that Humphrey was poor today as he has been for a while but his attitude seemed a bit off today. At one point when he played the ball to nobody, he turned and shouted at Hateley for not being there and just completely turned his back on the game. He then gave the ball away cheaply a few times and just sort of shrugged his shoulders as if it was someone else's fault. Perhaps more than just a lack of confidence affecting him? Very unlike Humphrey as one thing you can never accuse him off is not putting in a shift. Shame cause a confident Humphrey would be a big boost to have at Tynecastle, it's a big pitch and he put one of his best performances for Motherwell their in last seasons 2-0 win. However surley Omar is going to get the nod next week as he seems to be in a bit of form just now.
  15. Craggs, lots of vital interceptions and clearances when they were pilling on the pressure. Law, Murphy & Daley all flitted in and out the game. The rest were all solid if not spectacular.
  16. Even enough game, they probably edged it in terms of chances. Although Higdon should have scored another and Murphy had a good chance at the end. We were great for the first 15 mins of the 2nd half but seemed deflated when they equalised. Two great goals though in their own right. Goodwin was terrific for them. Another failed attempt to win at home but a very entertaining game and another point. Looking forward to the Hearts game next week, back on the road in the silver strip. Bring it on!
  17. Same team as last week. A win for us, any sort of win will do.
  18. Forbes is out of contract in the summer, McHugh still has a another year.
  19. The 4th at East End Park. Think I counted 11 passes before Higdon put the ball in the net. Great team goal.
  20. Great win. Daley sounded brilliant and it's great to see Murphy get a double. Great performance.
  21. Meanwhile, McCall is pursuing his interest in Estonian Henrik Ojamaa, who has been on trial at Fir Park. The 20-year-old striker, who was once on the books of Derby, is available on a free transfer after leaving Finnish side RoPS. "We are in discussions," McCall said. "We can't play him until January anyway, so we will just have to see if we can come to an agreement."
  22. How? I responded to your post like you did mine. I just had to break your post down to wade through all the shite. You mean like Daley who came in for Humphrey against Aberdeen and scored the winner??
