  1. Fuck me I give up, close the thread please mods. I regret bumping it, this is just lunacy. He won plenty of balls in the air and put in a power of work, if people can't see that then they never will. This thread has become pointless.
  2. No he's NOT. That's why he's our top goalscorer as we sit 3rd in the table with our best start to a season in years. That's the worst criticism of Higdon I've ever seen. He's a good finisher that's why he's our top goalscorer. Also If you want to have a go at people for powderpuff efforts on goal I'd love to hear your opinion on Murphy.... Idiot comment was aimed at the fans that choose to boo him at every oppurtunity at the games, not necessarily aimed at anyone on here.

Although he played well was it not Hammell's lapse in concentration that cost us the first goal? I thought he got caught ball watching.
  4. Well 4 Europe

Higdon for me. Thankless task but stuck at it and took his goal well. Still infuriating to see him win countless headers with no one getting close enough to pick up the second ball.
  5. Well played lads, couldn't ask for much more. They brought a 2.5m pound striker off the bench to score the winner, that's what we were up against. We wanted a performance and for the large part got one. Not the result we wanted but we got a win last week undeservedly so sometimes these things happen. Well played boys, run of decent games coming up lets continue as we've started.
  6. Passenger..? Fuck off he was outstanding today. Won everything in the air, link up play was great, worked his arse off and buries his chance. That performance should shut some of the fucking idiots up.
  7. Just watched the highlights there, impressed by a few playes but most of all Josh Watt. Set up the first and scored the second, looked good with ball at both feet, good at carrying the ball and had good delivery. Anyone know anymore about him? Obviously it's just one game but my question for anyone who goes to these game regularly is he always a stand out as he looked a really good prospect.
  8. Not worried, it's been this way for years. We sell the last batch Murphy, Hutch & Saunders etc. and bring through the new generation. Zaine Francis-Angol, Hethrington & Herman the Frenchman all look like very good prospects. Hopefully see them start coming through in the next few years. And as long as there's English clubs stupid enough to let the likes of Randolph and Hateley leave for nothing we should still be able to pick up a few gems along the way.
  9. What a great move for our 2nd goal, interesting to see a certain Stephen Hughes heavily involved at the beginning and end of the move supplying the killer ball for Clarkson at the end. Still think he could act as a good link up man between midfield and attack and help supply the killer ball in the final third that we've sometimes been lacking. Would love to see him back.
  10. Well deserved. Been outstanding this season.
  11. I fink we shud well get rid of Humperry and Higdon as they r pure gash min. sell em each for millions ken and bring back Faddy, Pearo and Reynolds like.
  12. Each to their own but I think Tade is an utter donkey. Plenty of pace and energy but a woeful footballer. Horrific first touch, poor link up play, terrible finishing(cracked the bar when it seemed easier to roll it in) and in general a poor technical player.
  13. Bit harsh after about 5 sub appearances no? I for one thought that he made a big difference when he came on yesterday and would like to see him get a start as the Humph wasn't at it yesterday and the team seemed to improve when Murphy went to the right and Daley came on the left. Maybe next week against Celtic is not the right game but I'd like to see him start a few games in the future.
  14. To be honest the whole team was fairly gash for the first 75 mins. Lasley's peach dragged us out a hole. Randolph made a few good saves and Clancy was solid again even though he was shunted around the back line. However I gave it to Hateley simply for the fact he set up the first and scored the winner.
  15. Same team again. Unlucky for Hutch but you can't break up a defence that's conceeded one goal in the last 4 games. Heading up for this, our away form has been excellent and hopefully it continues again. It also can't be worse than the last game up there which was an absolutely woeful performance. If we play like we did at Easter Road or Tannadice we will win again. Sadly we seem to throw up these dreadful performances from time to time. Hopefully this isn't one of those times. Confident we can win. ICT 0 - 3 Motherwell (Higdon, Humphrey & Murphy) Looking forward to it.
  16. Tom Hateley is the best right back in the SPL
  17. We get, you don't like the idea and don't want it. Gonnae shut the fuck up about it.
  18. More impressed by Ross Forbes. Seemed to be involved in everything, set up the first 2 goals and was unlucky not to score himself when he hit the bar. Maybe he deserves a chance.
  19. Hollis & Page. Essentially half the bloody squad!
  20. Found some rare footage, a Stephen Hughes goal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF46EbXykpA Remember it well, some wild celebrations in the Well end after he equalized. Shame we lost it late on. I was one of his biggest fans when we first had him but I'm not sure he's what we need. Not sure we can fit him in without messing with the balance of the team too much, a team that's been very succesful so far. Then again at home we do seem to lack a cutting edge at times, maybe he could be the player to play that defence splitting pass that we've been lacking. He's just had the final year of His Norwich contract payed up to him in a lump sum so he can't be short of a bit of dosh. A short term deal to put him in the shop window might suit both parties, much like Maurice Ross is doing at Livingston for minimum wage. He obviously isn't exactly inundated with offers so might be tempted to just get some games under his belt. I wouldn't push the boat out to get him but if a deal could be struck to suit both parties then I would be happy with the signing.
  21. Not really, just said he was looking to get back into football and needed a club.
  22. Stephen Hughes back training with the club to keep himself fit.
  23. No. Tom Hateley is criminally underated and imo is easily one of the best right backs in the SPL. Cracking player with a great degree of consistency for such a young player. One of the first names on the team sheet for me, Hateley has been outstanding for us.
  24. Link up play was good. I could count on one hand how many times he gave the ball away, his flick to set up Jennings chance was sublime. Countless headers won at both ends. Workrate was very good chasing and working for the team. Should have scored but he's already shown he knows how to score, more goals will come. I'd say you talk utter shite.
