  1. I get where you're coming from but there are games when we are behind and need to change our style of play. Leaving the final to one side, as I think Celtic had taken their foot off the gas and it's probably an unfair comparison anyway, he totally changed the two games at Firhill and looked good against Accies by attempting to pick out passes. He's still got another year and I wouldn't mind seeing if he can take his recent form into next season but I don't think he's combative enough to be a regular starter under Robinson. Unfortunately I don't think we can afford the type of player that is going to pick the passes and put the level of effort in that we're looking for.
  2. Already? Oh well, as the club Twitter said, we go again.
  3. I thought when Bigi and Ciftci went around the park applauding the fans at the end of the Accies game it looked as though they were saying goodbye. I quite like Bigi and he's made a real difference when he's come on in recent games so I'd be disappointed if he does leave. He offers something different from the rest of our midfield players when we need to chase a game.
  4. Could be true but there was also a bit of a feelgood factor at the end of Saturday'sgame and that may have helped to make the mind up of anyone who was swithering, particularly families.
  5. If that's true there's only one club it could be.
  6. Was he not covering the second leg of the play-off on tv and looking very happy afterwards? If he comes out with anything like that I'm sure someone will post a clip of that.
  7. I don't think he played often enough for me to form much of an opinion to be honest.
  8. You don't really believe that, do you? He may well be 'Sellick minded ' but they're a bit more professional than that.
  9. Stevie Woods certainly hasn't been trying to blend into the background in any of the footage of the Celtic celebrations that I've seen. He's made a very good career as a goalkeeping coach out of debatable talent (I personally think there's a fair amount of selective memory involved).
  10. Did our win against them a few months ago not do that?
  11. I don't think any of us expected to see John Sutton incoming next season but we do have the re-appearance of Craig Samson to look forward to. Somebody told me he has been outstanding for them this season but maybe he didn't have too much to do.
  12. Yes, we seem to have Dundee's number but we managed to come away with a 1-1 draw at home earlier in the season so it's not quite 5 out of 5.
  13. St. Mirren did play Aberdeen in the cup but that didn't go too well for them. I wouldn't be surprised if Morgan stays at Celtic and Jack Ross goes down south over the summer and St. Mirren are found out as guff next season. But that's a whole different discussion......
  14. It's a much better written piece than anything in the Record that's been linked to recently.
  15. Tend to generally agree although I thought Campbell might have been in with a good chance. However this is voted for by the players and those at bigger clubs get much more exposure. It's hardly surprising they get more votes as players who aren't in the same division will only see them in highlights or, more likely, televised games. That doesn't explain Morgan though although he does appear to have been the standout player in the Championship so could have picked up a lot of the votes from there.
  16. Interesting but sounds as though a work permit is a long shot.
  17. St. Johnstone also beating us would only put them further ahead of us. Thistle and Accies could both win their remaining four games putting Accies on 42 points. All highly unlikely but obviously we're not quite safe yet.
  18. It doesn't sound likely for a number of reasons but on the other hand, who would have thought Boyd would have had such a season at Kilmarnock?
  19. Good interview with Alan Burrows by Scott Mullen in today's Herald. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/16166523.Alan_Burrows_on_Stephen_Robinson__the__perfect__Motherwell_manager/
  20. Aberdeen were leading with their arms in aerial challenges for the whole match and the ref was letting them away with it.
  21. For those parking the car, the area near the Montford pub is a restricted zone and there's a team of wardens waiting.
  22. Well I'm waiting at the airport waiting to fly back from holiday and am starting to get excited now. Away with another family and fortunately the other guy insisted on this flight home as he's a Celtic supporter and assumed they would be in the semi (bit presumptuous of him). The new deals announcement has helped to get me in the mood as well.
  23. Rose could be one of the four. Just because he's likely to leave doesn't mean we haven't offered him a deal and the club count that as being in talks with him.
  24. From a selfish point of view, I'm disappointed we don't have the game at Thistle on a Saturday as it's a good day out. Otherwise it's as good as we could have hoped for. I assume somebody else has had a raw deal or have they actually managed to work it out fairly this time?
