We were in enclosure in front of stand and got police escort along the track, past the dug-outs and into the Motherwell section. As usual, wee Tommy looked grumpy as we walked past even though we were winning.

There's nothing like putting pressure on a new player. That's not much of a recommendation.

I looked at DAFC.net to gauge their reaction to the game. They seem rather pissed off at our fans being allowed to stand and theirs not. Apart from that it seemed an unusually sensible forum and was fairly complimentary to the performances of our team and fans.

Wondered about that. I assume it's down to SFL giving permission as they have highlights from all their league games. If we get a home draw we can hopefully sort something out. Don't know if they're limited to 5 minutes but considering there's no replays it's more than we get on BBC.

Didn't stop McCall signing Jones last year. He seems to like going for players that have done him a turn in the past. Jones showed exactly why he's spent his career kicking about the lower leagues and I fear Daley may be the same. Our success with lower league players has tended to be with the younger ones that were in a bit of demand.

A fairly vociferous one if I remember correctly. Reasonable player who did a job but you didn't get too excited when he got the ball.

Not seen it in a long time but they used to cover one game (usually Sunday TV game) at the back and remainder in central football pull-out.

I think there's been a couple of precedents where clubs objected to the Sunday switch when the opponents had moved their midweek game to Thursday to get Sky coverage, but not because of Europa fixtures.

Has that been confirmed about Gunning and, is so, is it a loan deal? I don't think it would have anything to do with a lack of our ambition seeing as he seems to have been used as a bargaining chip. Dundee Utd had something Blackburn wanted, we didn't.

It probably dragged on because he was always going to leave for better money elsewhere but he had enough dignity not to say it publicly. We offered him the same money again, Hearts offered him double. I don't think anyone can blame him for going so thanks for your contribution John but I hope you lose on Sunday.

The Sun says McCarthy is looking to put him out on loan but not in Scotland.

I wasn't convinced by him as a centre half and I don't think he would oust Hammell so not sure he would have been guaranteed a start. He would have been a great addition to the squad though.

I normally sit in the Cooper but sat in the East for Craggs' testimonial. Yes it was too loud but what really got me was the music was played straight after the final whistle. Bit of common sense required - we were all there to thank him for his efforts for the club and no-one could hear it.
