That's a very unusual choice of price - hope they're well stocked with bags of 50p pieces!

Moved Seats Today From Normal Seat(season Ticket Holder)
daver replied to PettyWulliegrew's topic in Club Chat
This sounds like two guys who sat near me at Nancy and got rather aggressive with the poor guy who was sitting in one of their allocated seats. I think the general lesson is if you're quite happy where you sit don't try somewhere else for a change - you'll only be disappointed! -
I was told by a friend who was in the Transport Police station on another matter, that there was a fair bit of bother and those in the station were having a good moan about it. I didn't expect it at a St. Mirren game and, by the sounds of things, neither did the police. That could well explain why there was only one policewoman at the Airbles Rd./Adele St. roundabout, no traffic control and it took forever to get onto Airbles Rd.

"i Made An Arse Of It"( In The First Half)......mcmghee Admits
daver replied to PettyWulliegrew's topic in Club Chat
I'm sure we'd have won if we had played two centre forwards from the start (either Sutton or Sheridan). I don't know why he would have changed formation after the performance at Hibs when we should have won. -
According to the Sunday Herald, Dundee Utd. supporters were giving him dogs' abuse and singing 'why don't you go home'. Obviously it backfired as he was given man of the match!
-
So, is it £3.6m or £3.06m (as per the article) for the winners?
-
It was up at the home end bye-line so it wasn't very clear but one of them was supposed to have spat on the other who retaliated with a head-butt - none of it very gentlemanly! I actually think it was Kirk who started it but as you say Abercrombie didn't accept the decision and was shown the red card several times. I may have been at the Fergie game everyone's referring to but I was too young for me to remember.

A 6'3" winger - brings back memories of a certain Derek Townsley!
-
He played quite well in Dougie's testimonial! I've not seen much of big Sheridan but obviously hope he does well. Provides some much needed back-up with a fair bit of height.
-
Yes, I heard that on the radio and was, quite frankly, stunned. I thought he had a poor game and went for Clarkson but thought Quinn and Klimpl were excellent also.
-
I think there were suggestions that he didn't fancy adding on that extra hour and a half on to the drive to Dundee away from his family. Also read that was why he favoured Derby over Cardiff.

There's an article on BBC with quotes from McGhee saying Teale is back in favour with the new manager and is unlikely to come to us although there may be further talks. I know he's no world beater and some people don't rate would I certainly think he would be an improvement on Smith or O'Brien.
-
Unfortunately that would see the club losing a good deal of money. There would be a sizeable difference in crowd between a saturday game and a midweek game against St. Mirren (assuming we get past Inverurie).
-
Yeah, but tickets can be returned for a refund.

Loved the Hibs clip. Really strange seeing the goalies not wearing gloves. Couldn't have been much after that they brought in the crappy wee gloves with the strips of dimpled rubber sewn on.
-
Strangely, the statistic that he used to give the ball away 74% of the time doesn't surprise me! Is it any wonder people used to get on his back?
-
Unfortunately none of our players have anywhere near the level of skill Cooper had to compensate sufficiently for being one footed. I was probably a bit strong in saying Murphy is very one footed (in the way that O'Brien is). I like him as a player, however he certainly favours one foot a good deal more than the other and has shown reluctance to go with his weaker foot on occassion.
-
My boss is pretty flexible about me leaving early to get to the game but I'm on holiday next week and my wife is less flexible and wouldn't look kindly on me leaving the family holiday to go to Inverurie! As for insisting the game should be moved to Fir Park, how many times did it take for us to get our game against Celtic played last year? When it was suggested by celtic supporters that we'd had our chance and it should be moved to Parkhead we didn't exactly welcome the suggestion. It works both ways I'm afraid and we've just get to get on with it the best we can.

I've never been impressed with Malcolm, other than his free-kick abilities, and I posted after the St. Mirren game that there was no contest between Klimpl and Malcolm. The one thing that impressed me at Love Street was how comfortable he was with both feet. At Tannadice he had a good, well controlled shot with one foot just before scoring with the other foot. The one thing that does my head in watching football is seeing professional players being completely one-footed - our team is rife with them. Stephen Hughes gets great plaudits for his skills but goes to ridiculous lengths to avoid kicking the ball with his left foot. Jamie Murphy looks a great new talent but is very one footed and there are less skillful players in the team who have a much weaker side. How many times have we seen a player trying to wrap a leg round his body to take the ball with his better foot. It makes me wonder what players do in training, particularly the younger ones. How refreshing it is to see Klimpl looking genuinely comfortable with both feet.
-
If they are going to attempt Monday / Wednesday next week, remember there is another week after that for them to try both Monday and Wednesday before we we get to the saturday of the next round.
-
Had the misfortune of being at that one but wasn't there on Sunday! McLeish had really started to make changes to the team by this point and, looking back, it was probably and indication of things to come. At that point we were still doing really well but that all changed very quickly.
-
Game's off, according to official site.

I caught bits of the radio commentary and the radio team near the end said he had been quality, never giving the ball away. Sounds more like it.

Last Time We Were 3 Up Away From Home At H/t In Spl
daver replied to PettyWulliegrew's topic in Club Chat
At home, there was Aberdeen last season. Away, I'll leave it to somebody else to get the record books out because I certainly can't remember. -
At 22 would there not still be a development fee involved? I thought the loophole we exploited for Porter was now closed.
