  1. We now know that he was sent of for foul and abusive language. So, what could he have said that provoked such a reaction, considering players always seem to be swearing at refs on the telly? All the sweary words are kind of normal now, other than count, so did he say that? I think nethertonwellfan's (I think it was him, searching takes too long ) "I am going to rape you and your family" is the best suggestion so far, but was wondering if there were any other suggestions. Or did he just question the ref's integrity? They don't like that.
  2. I heard Jeffries swear twice on the telly.
  3. I reckon if you could scroll down in that BBC pic you'd find the ref had a boner.

Everything Kevin Kyle does is a foul. He should get booked for looking like himself.
  5. I don't care about the result, Hearts deserved to win as far as I'm concerned, they looked the more dangerous team. The Liverpool connection is worrying, and if it wasn't for that I don't think anyone would be considering that Jenno was involved.
  6. I've seen these kind of things before, it usually turns out to be someone completely different who you would never have suspected at the start. Jenno or the ref are too obvious, bad TV. Seriously though, I'd be sick if our guy was involved, but would fucking love it if the ref was in on it.
  7. Sky Sports News 8/1? No bad considering the way the game was going, and with Craigan and Jenno already on yellows!
  8. If it was a case of the player being responsible for this, he must have been red carded for verbals, because there's no way he touched the ref with the intention of getting himself sent off. I wouldn't agree that he looked like he was trying to get red carded from the start though, he put in a badly mis-timed challenge early in the game, but stayed on his feet on many occasions when he could have went in and got the second booking.

Sorry, that was me. I could see it coming a mile off.

That's what it looks like to me, in addition to them being utterly shite. Referees and officials have their moments in all leagues and sports, but nothing quite matches the incompetence of Scottish refs. Part of that must come down to them being part-timers, and another factor would be who'd actually want to train to be a referee anyway? I'm not going to spend the time googling the refereeing system, but I assume that these guys have to go though years of refereeing amateur games and the like, so fair play to those who manage to find their way through the system and get to the top, but they must be kind of jaded by the time they get there! So I have every respect for the guys who went through all that shit so that they can eventually officiate glamour ties like Motherwell v St Mirren, but they do get paid to do a job and if they make huge mistakes on live TV they should get bloody reamed for it, none of this closing ranks pish.
  12. I don't have any problems with Calderwood either, he's an experienced manager who has done reasonably well in all of his previous positions. A lot of the guys mentioned were available or could have been pursued when McGhee, Gannon, and Brown were appointed, so I think the board already know the limitations or Hughes, McPherson et al. However, I'm worried that standards may drop a little to try and bring a bit of stability.

Can everyone take out the offending page, burn it and hit it with their shoes? It would be great if we could over react to middle eastern proportions.

Easy one. See when Alex Ferguson left, did they complain about it on the internet?

"A club who not too long ago, were trumping all that come before us in both Europe and domestic competition. " Sums it up for me.
  16. Whoever we get it should be a one-year contract, cos I like a bit of speculation. Without the talk of new players and managers, all we have are the games, and they're shite.
  17. It beats the mashups though. They are fucking dreadful.
  18. Don't think we can take on loans out with the transfer window though.

    Spl Table

Rangers top, St Mirren bottom, and us 5th. Hearts are my bet for 3rd this year.
  20. This thread is so big that we're getting re-posts! Surprised the Off the Ball video hasn't reappeared today. I guess the management must be pretty happy with the guy, since they've had a few weeks to look at him, but I doubt that he'll get in the first XI any time soon.
  21. There are plenty of full backs around the 5'7" mark that are doing pretty well for themselves like Cole and Lahm and plenty others, they're hardly the weak spot in their team due to their height. Pace, positioning, and ability to get forward are more important attributes for a full-back than height.
  22. Es-te-ban Cas-a-golda, to the tune of Richard Gough child molester.
  23. More importantly, are Hearts and Dundee Utd fans jealous?
  24. We're customers. The notion that it's our duty to "support" the club financially is bollocks, and it's this kind of loyalty that all clubs are abusing when increasing ticket prices during a recession. I'm not sure how the administration fiasco is relevant here, I'm not going to shell out extra money just because we had a close shave almost eight years ago. It wasn't the fans fault then, and it isn't our responsibility now. My issue here isn't the comparative cost, but the fact that they increased the price from previous Euro games in conjunction with a patronising rallying call stating that it is essential to get in as many fans as possible as the players need their support.
