Yeah, and we'll probably double season ticket prices, replace the pitch with shitty plastic, paint the stairs with paint that never dries, and put marbles in the pies and pish in the drinks. Probably.

Changing the manager doesn't guarantee results, and as mentioned above, it can be more about catharsis and appeasement than any real football reason. It's a big risk and shouldn't be taken lightly. I don't think kettlewell is guaranteed to see out the season, but I don't think he's on the verge of getting punted either. I can see the logic in gambling with him. If we can get to the end of the season safely, we have an almost blank slate for the new CEO and directors to work from, after a few years of bloated squads and manager payoffs. Right now the players are playing for SK and have kept their heads through a bad run. The 1 win in ages run is bad, but we are still sitting 4 points of 6th, performances and results have improved, and we have most of our injured players back. Obviously we're not concerning ourselves with 6th at this point, but maybe that puts this seasons league, and the general form of the teams, into some perspective. This week is going to go a long way to defining our season. 2 wins probably buys SK the rest of the season from most of his detractors, but 2 losses could sway too much of the fan base for him to survive.

Shit happens, the grass will grow back.

Hammell raved about his own involvement in getting Danzaki, and he brought in Aarons and Moult, who were known injury risks (he flat out admitted moult wasn't going to be fit enough to play full games). He also had the utter gobshite Brian "lazy leg" Kerr as assistant, so I'm not going to give him too much credit. Kettlewell has definitely shown he can clear out when needed, but he's also responsible for Obika and Shaw. Dawes raved about going into international markets, but im not sure what that has really brought us. Sol, Ojala, and Efford were flops, and as much as i like Davor, there's plenty of scottish players that can do his job, and wont have to take half a season to figure out the league. I dont know the true extent of Dawes' role, maybe it's mainly administrative, but I'm sure his position will be under review whenever a new CEO rocks up. I can't imagine it being expensive to cut him loose should we decide to do that.

Butcher is improving, which is good because he was critical to our run last year. Casey returning to form would be huge.

This. The KVV thing is on the other clubs, not us. We had a value and stuck to it, and that was the right thing to do.

We have 2 fit strikers (for the time being) so we are pretty much forced to play one up front, with one attacking option on the bench, and pray to God that no one gets injured or suspended, or that we have to make tactical changes during a game. Not addressing that issue is a total failure on the part of those that's job it is to build our squad. They have had plenty of time to do something about beireth, shaw , and Wilkinson going, but we dragged it to the last minute and it bit us on the arse. They are also responsible for signing obika, Shaw and Wilkinson. I'm fine with the other signings we've made, but we now have a bunch of full backs who might as well cross the ball to each other.
-
If we do go down, at least we have an almost clean slate of a squad without any terrible contracts, and I don't think the management team is under contract past the summer either.
-
So you're saying you like this signing then? 😃

Mcginn is a RCB in a three, and maybe a right back in a 4, but we're not going to a 4 any time soon. He could definitely function as a wing back, but we are obviously looking for more pace there. SOD looks like he's moving into that RCB role as well, and he fared a lot better out there, so I can see why we want cover at wing back, especially when we expect them to be all action, so having options on the bench is very useful. Also, someone is totally going to get injured.

Aaron Chapman is probably the worst player I've seen. He looked genuinely surprised every time he managed to stop the ball, and looked like he was waiting for Al to tell him who's body he just leapt into. McLean was manager when I started watching us, so based on that period onwards, I'd have to go with Hammell as our worst manager. He was just clueless, and having Kerr as assistant was even worse. McLeish wasn't great, but that era had some great players and moments, so I can't put him in with the worst.

Hope the gig was worth it at least. Broken noses arent fun, but subsequent ones get easier. As far as the back and forth goes, there's nothing wrong with arguing and getting heated sometimes, and it rarely gets too personal. Many of us have been on here for a couple of decades now (jeez-o) and the various shticks can get old, but at least we can agree that Oli Shaw is shite.

Brophy is a goal every 4.7 games over 290 games. Shaw is a goal every 3.9 games over 187 games.

Close, but probably a couple of paragraphs short of being authentic SK.

Theres lots of things posted online, none of it is guaranteed to be true. Clubs don't post the salaries of individual players, and players don't generally disclose their salaries. Unless you think that some guy just called up each club/player to get this information, and they just handed it over, where do you think the info comes from? These salaries are just guesses, and im not even sure if they're educated ones, and the fact that the linked list is players from all clubs makes it even less likely that this is real.
-
That's just made up.
-
Whether you think what companies pay their employees should be secret or not is irrelevant, it generally is. I'd be pissed if my company posted my salary for everyone to see, and they would be equally annoyed if I went around posting what I got paid. Anything you see online in this respect is most likely someone's guess.
-
Those lists online are unlikely to be real, probably copied from Football Manager or something like that. How would that information get into the public domain?
-
The only link we have with nahmani is that his loan is ending at st Mirren, and some vague comment that his parent club could loan him somewhere else, including Scotland. We haven't been mentioned other than forum speculation.

I'm more than happy with Bair's contribution so far, although my expectations were similarly low. When we signed him I assumed we saw a big athlete and hoped we could teach him enough football to be useful, and that's kind of what we've done. I'd say that Bair has moved on a bit from being just a "project" but he would benefit from having a striker near him. We are doing that thing that motherwell does. Bring in a player that no one else wanted, make him look good enough that another club will bite and give us money, then cancel the magic spell the minute the money hits the bank. Any questions? Ask Aberdeen.

St J are below us in the league after the same number of games, and we're the worst team to ever play the game with a total diddy gobshite manager apparently, and haven't even bothered to sign three strikers. Every manager below us should be fired.
-
You have to take each game in isolation, and with that, a point there is never terrible, especially with the squad situation. We were a shambles for their goal, and looked so brittle from set pieces. It looked miles offside to me, and the dodgy var image they showed was not convincing in the slightest. The ref was a fucking clown all game. Outside of that we were the better team, but only managed to cut them open a couple of times, in each case with excellent, fast, passing moves. But we paid the price for having just one striker. Paton will get stick, but he and spittal were constantly trying to make something happen, and put in a power of work. Butcher looked better, but has to cut out the nonchalance on the ball, as it nearly cost us dearly. Halliday was a calm presence, but we didn't get him involved enough, and Nicholson looks handy. Miller is a class act. Shout out to Mcginn, he was excellent.

Filter: - Track record of scoring goals - No previous injuries - Tries hard - We can afford - Wants to play for motherwell - Motherwell fans know - Motherwell fans like Results: Ha ha ha

Not sure if we can cancel the deal, because that would put him out for the season since he's played for us and Fleetwood. I know 3 months is effectively the season, but there would still be games left.
