Went for ARG mainly for the crunching tackle that he put in in the first half that had the hibs commentators greetin.

I think Johnson is shite. Main is only good if the wingers are firing and scoring goals, but even a team with our resources can find a better “nuisance” than him.
Scott was OK when he came on, nothing special, but we have between now and the end of the season to see what we have with him, so I think we should be starting with him going forward.

Didn’t notice any sitters, but we made a couple of chances there near the end, and Aldred did more in his 2 minute spell up front than Main did all game.
Hibs looked quicker across the board, and our wingers barely troubled them. I don’t think anyone was particularly poor today, and we looked composed and determined to play the ball on the ground, but didn’t have anything close to a cutting edge.

Aldred and Turnbull

Grimshaw signs for another year.

It’s hard to rule anything out considering the run we’ve been on. Winning far from guarantees us top six, but I think anything less than 3 points all but ends our chances due to our goal difference.
We have the slight advantage of a settled team, and two of the in form players in the league, but we always struggle at Easter road so it will be a hard one.
4-0 us.

That was pretty easy, and could have been a lot more if we were sharper on the counter attack. They had their spell but did nothing outside of long range efforts.
Dont think there were any bad performances in there, but the midfield three were dominant in the first half, with Campbell being solid for the whole game.

Surprisingly only for 1 year.
-
It would be a shame if we lost him, but as is echoed above, you can’t force people to sign contracts and our approach worked with Turnbull and Scott.
I assume that if we lose him for a development fee there’s no scope for negotiating a sell on?

Decent point. Neither team were very good, but I thought Killie looked more organized in attack carving out some decent chances, where we got most of our joy from counter attacks.
The midfield 3 did a great job, but the wingers weren’t an outlet today, as Killie doubled up on them. Main was poor, and didn’t even do a job of keeping the Killie defense occupied.
The pitch played terribly, and combined with the overhead conditions made for a scrappy game, but not the worst to watch.

ARG for me. He showed his battling qualities a bit more today and was calm on the ball. Really like the partnership he’s building with Turnbull and Campbell.
-
James Scott for the banter.
-
I fear for his career/health in general, he’s had multiple serious concussions and he’s clearly susceptible to them.
-
The follow up and finish by Ariyibi isn’t getting the credit it deserves, it has been overshadowed by the seethe.
Oh, and while clutching their pearls the Celtic fans saw fit to cheer the stretcher coming of for McHugh.

Christie got injured and went off the side of the park, their player played it out for a throw, we threw it back to them but James Scott ran onto it and forced the keeper into a save then Ariyibi ran onto the rebound and scored.

Is this what is meant by “there are ways to lose games”? I keep forgetting we lost.
-
He was injured in training

Flattering result for them, and we were really in the game at 2-1. James Scott has utterly rattled them. He has been learning at the Dougie Arnott school of getting it up the old firm .
Good so see Ariyibi get a goal, he deserved it. Turnbull and Gorrin were composed and I thought we handled ourselves well.
The results of the eduard challenges were not good, but I didn’t see much in them. Both just looked like 2 played coming together.
-
It’s a free go, goal difference doesn’t even matter anymore, and there is no reason to rest or hold back anyone, so let’s have a go.
However, it is Celtic away, and deciding to have a go doesn’t automatically mean we’ll suddenly terrorize them on the wings and make chance after chance just because we decided to, since Celtic will also have a say.
I’m hoping we can keep it tight early on and get the ball to the wingers, and it will be interesting to see how Gorrin and Turnbull do, but this is the game where we’ll need Main to take the one chance he gets.

5 hours ago, Electric Blues said:
The more times I see that winning goal the more I'm reminded of Shane Warne's dismissal of Mike Gatting with "the ball of the century" at Old Trafford. The expression of disbelief on Gatting's face looked strangely familiar too.
Explains why he spent half the game rubbing the ball on his crotch.

Went for Aldred. He’s been really good all season and is definitely a player of the year candidate.
-
Think most of us would agree that a point would have been fair, and we rode our luck a little before we scored, but these wee bits of luck eluded us in the first half of the season, and it seemed that every mistake lead to us conceeding, so maybe things are evening out after all.
i didn’t think hearts were that good, and after all the hype about their set pieces, they produced nothing. Aldred and Dunne were excellent again, and I thought Tait and grimmy had a good game overall.
we did lose the midfield battle for a lot of the game, but hearts did nothing with it. McHugh came on at the right time and had a really good 30 minutes, Gorrin was good but was again hampered by his booking.
Turnbull is just great to watch. Even though hearts were pressing and hitting hard, he’d make one small move and end up in acres of space. Watching him and Campbell combine is fun. Hastie just continues to take liberties with the opposition, and is full of confidence.
Main did the thing that main does, and I thought he did a good job against the “big lumps” at the back for hearts.
Should we keep the same XI against Celtic? Or are some due a rest? ;-)

Might have got lost in the shuffle but it was mentioned that we’re trying to get Cadden signed too.
haven't heard anything about livingstone, things seem to be quiet about him.

An interesting discussion would be who out of the current youth ranks should we be offering deals to?
