The fact is that the vast majority of our support in the final won't be society members or season ticket holders, which is fine, I get that. I think the society is about 2200, and STs are about 3000ish. We're going to have 10k+ at the final, so this is a massive opportunity. If we went with the message that only society members/st holders would be guaranteed a ticket, then we could make a decent sum just from the one off sign ups we get from folk making sure that they can get a ticket.

Not the greatest quality, maybe someone can find better.

I think this all comes down to something hat was said in one of the articles over the weekend, is that the club knows what it is, and embraces it. We've brought in a manager and players who know they can use the club to further their careers, but they have to earn it and be respectful of the club in the meantime. We made a big point of recruiting the right characters, and its paying off.

And while I'm on YouTube, here's the van der Gaag one
-
In person? Van Der Gaag against dunfermline, was a huge moment at the time which all but secured our survival. Juke's against hibs was also some finish. Another quality finish worth a shout is the Jim Hamilton volley against Celtic. I'd put O'Neil's top out of all goals I've seen us score full stop.

No excuse, bigi played with aids/Ebola/captain trips.

Just catching up with the online pants-wetting. It is beautiful. The best I've seen is that the ref abandoned his duty of care by not doing something about the guy who nosed bowmans arm. I seem to recall that rangers went on attack and eventually won a corner while he was checking how much of his face was still attached. I'm sure they could have put the ball out of play. As had already been said, moult got an equally bad one, and instead of being a pussy about it he came back on, blasted the ref, then got it right round them. Morelos also hit hartley with a gut punch, their midfielders forgot they had a game today, and they squandered a bunch of sitters, so I'd put the ref way down the list as the cause of their woes.

Picked Carson. His assuredness (if it's not a word I'm claiming it) got us through some scary spells, and his distribution was excellent. Seeing a keeper come out and pluck the ball from the air is a welcome change from what we've had in recent years. Mchugh had a really good game too, which was great to see. Didn't think bowman deserved more than a yellow from the game, as strikers go up like that all the time, but hartley was lucky after his retaliatory halving of Morelos (who also should have been off) Shame that this was Kipre's worst game, but he's still a wean.
-
Battered them again (literally). What a bunch of shitebags they are. Have Rose and McHugh refurned Jack and Dorrans to their families yet? Fuckin love Trevor Carson, but don't think his dad does anymore.
-
Kipre playing terribly, but denied a goal by Ryan jack on the line, even though he shat himself and tried to get out the way of it. Hartley and Dunne both lucky to still be on. Somehow still level, hoping for some of the customary Robbo half time tactics.
-
The manager mentioned in yesterday's interview that we're talking to hartley about something more permanent, which would be amazing if we could pull it off. However, it was also mentioned that we're talking others, so I was wondering who that would be. From the first team, we know that moult, bowman and rose are out of contract in the summer, maybe frear? There's also Adam livingstone in he u20s who there was a lot of talk about last week. Robbo has talked up rose since day one, and he's definitely catching on, so I think he'll be the next to extend.
-
Maybe we're spending the moult money on these extensions, which I don't really disagree with.
-
Maybe it's just really windy there?
-
If you're going with youth, surely you give the manager a bit longer than this? I'd agree with McIntyre as his replacement, he played with them and is probably viewed as unlucky to have lost his job at county.

Nice article about Robbo https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1638700/motherwell-boss-stephen-robinson-is-dedicated-to-making-well-a-force-to-be-reckoned-with/amp/

Was he sacked, or is he still in that deep hug with Owen coyle?
-
I'm worried that there is a huge scandal around the corner, like our pitch is made of asbestos, or the society is a Russian money laundering front, or that robbo will make a sub that loses us a game.

Looking at the gif/video of the 3rd goal, that Cruyff turn is awesome, but also seems to be totally unnecessary because he was in he clear anyway. I think this makes it better. Probably MoM worthy too.

Do we keep a tally of who wins these? As with our goals, the MoM has been spread around the team, although it could turn into the alan campbell award if he keeps on going like he has been.

Subbed after 23 mins in today's u20s game.

I think the increase in attendance, and overall positivity, is just as much to do with the work rate from the players and the genuine positivity from all within the club as it is with the results. The messaging from the board and society all the way down to the media staff is consistent, open and honest, and considering how previous regimes treated the supporters, this goes a long way. Building the right culture and continuing to spend the necessary sums to keep a professional infrastructure should lead to us not depending on one person for success, whether that is a player or the manager, or chief scout, etc. Now, we're not going to keep finding Moults, but you just need to look at the summer recruitment campaign to see that our scouting and signing policies are working. Results can't be guaranteed, and there will be other Blyths, but when there's a clear process and work rate, mistakes can be tolerated by even our more negative fans.

One thing that shouldn't be missed is the save carson made from Christie after that long run, that was huge. It says a lot about our other signings that Carson is flying under the radar (to an extent) considering the goalkeeping troubles we've had in recent years.
