    Mcghee Out?

They got to write another sign. That's nice.

    Mcghee Out?

I'm not sure what him leaving now will achieve, but I'm not keen on him renewing at the end of the season, so don't care if he goes now. If he does, I can only see a caretaker replacement from within such as Robinson or craigan, partly due to cash but mainly because it's too late to embed new ideas.

    Mcghee Out?

I think he's good enough to keep us up, evidenced by our decent record against the teams around us. Whether he stays beyond that? I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I am pretty sure our next manager is already at the club, so I don't see how that would change our fortunes drastically, we're going to be a mid-to-bottom of the table team for a while. I would like for us to diversify our signing policy a little, and recruit guys who play in Scotland and aren't total punts, but I don't think a new manager changes our signing policy.
  4. Didn't think Jules did anything of note, and took some pretty poor touches in the first half. When moved to left back he hardly stood out. Can take a throw in though. Lasley had one of his better games, and moult worked hard, but I'd go with cadden as he was the only player who looked like threatening.
  5. We did get a free kick and a hearts player booked for ainsworth tripping up moult, so the ref was an equal opportunity fuck up.
  6. We were terrible with 3 at the back, and ainsworth was anonymous as a striker. It wasn't a red, but with 3 such decisions in short succession we probably need to reassess how we go in to some of these challenges. We looked a better team with 4 in the midfield, as cadden was suddenly more effective. hopefully we set up more to our strengths in the future rather than trying to be too clever. Is hammel pretty much done now?
  7. When did ciftci last play? Could signing him open up the old 4-3-3 option again?
  8. Unless there was some sort of agreement between McDonald and the club, letting him go for nothing doesn't seem very clever.
  9. Cheaper to live in the US too.
  10. john hendry is in his back garden taking shots at an empty goal, I'll keep you posted.
  11. I agree re: Lionel. I have always liked him, but if he has become a player we can only bring on when the planets are aligned, we need to give that job to a youngster and find someone who can compete for a starting place. If nothing else, both he and chalmers will be gone in the summer, but I'd really like to try and stay in the top division in the meantime.
  12. I voted cadden, partly for the perfect cross he put in, and also because he was the only out ball we had until McDonald came on.
  13. Also, Lasley was way off he pace today. He won the ball a couple of times but was then too fucked to do anything about it. Clay seemed to have a 90 minute warm up, showed no urgency at all. Chalmers wasn't the worst on the park, but that isn't what you should be aiming for.
  14. Rangers should have been 2 or 3 up and coasting before we scored, but through some luck and poor composure by them we somehow got ahead. We created nothing until McDonald came on, and the whole midfield was poor in general. Have to be concerned at Caddens injuries too. It's hard to guess how the rest of the season is going to go based on that, but right now it looks like our only chance of not getting involved in relegation is if we can keep skippy, moult and cadden fit, and find someone to play on the left.
  15. That's a "let's get them back to fir park" lineup if I've ever saw one.
  16. Seems like he would have been a perfect fit, plays in left mid and is a former player, maybe we will go for him in the summer to keep the collection going.
  17. Jim O'Brien at Ross County on loan. Well, wrote this in the wrong thread, and its in the former players one already, so nothing to see. Maybe worth noting that burrows mentioned Laing being back up in training. Surely he'll be off on loan again.
  18. Killie apparently knocked back a bid of 500k for Coulibaly. How does that fit with our valuation of Moult? I haven't seen the killie guy play.
  19. Another ex England C international. Can anyone just play for them?
  20. I really hope we have a backup awesomely named target.
  21. If you haven't read he last couple of pages, I'll summarize by saying: - Mark Reynolds may or may not like us - Someone rumored we're signing him on a pre-contract but he has 18 months left. - I'm surprised no one has tweeted burrows about this, and that it isn't in the papers based on previous rumours started here.
  22. Why would Mackin be released?
  23. Pearson covers the left side and central mid, and will chip in some goals, so he'd be ideal and doesn't need time to adapt. I could see a few more teams interested, but would like to think he'd give us first refusal. We are light at center back, so could see a loanee defender.
  24. I'm sure rangers would love to have him, but they have no money and he has a fair bit of contract left, so that's not happening. I don't think we'll lose cadden this window, but doubt he will last the summer. I'm more worried about Moult, and hope that if he does go that it's on he back of a great December, and then Ryan bowman steals his mojo somehow. Lucas and belic will surely be gone, and I'm guessing Laing will be loaned out for the rest of the year. As for incoming, can definitely see Pearson coming back as I have a feeling that was arranged when he left, but I don't see anyone else coming in this time.
  25. Blyth and bowman are on contracts, so unless someone wanted to take them from us, they're going nowhere. Also, there's a chance moult gets sold, so we're going to need forwards. Lucas and belic will go because their deals are up and it should free enough cash to bring someone in who is not injured.
