I think the club will be quite happy to let the papers and the like keep themselves occupied with the valakari chat while they conduct their interviews through the week. If I'm not mistaken, there still hasn't been a word from the club as to who we are targeting, and I doubt there will be.

My guess is that with the Motherwell managers job only being of interest to a small group of folk, and since there's no real intelligence on who it is going to be, the market will change pretty quickly if a few people put money on one guy. So basically, it was Desp's fault.

Are all 3 loanees until January only? With the size of the squad as it is, the new manager isn't going to have much room to bring in his own players. Today's performance came from a team picked out of a fully fit squad, which is scary.

I'm not sure where some folk think our club is going that someone of calderwood's ilk can't take us to. I get that it is boring when we sign players and managers that we all know, but weve seen nothing from obscure/left field appointments to tell us this is the way we must go.

Aside from his personality, what are the reasons for the negative response to calderwood? I don't particularly like him, just curious.

Calderwood isn't the attractive choice, but he has a decent record as far as win% goes. He did leave his last job after a month when two of his players were sold, and has had similar rants before, so not sure if he'll fit our model.

Not a fan of Clark, but he did win almost half of his games over 4 years at Huddersfield. His record after that is pretty sketchy though. Yon Dijkhuisen guy looks terrible. I still have a feeling it will end up being no one mentioned so far. Or craigan.

Seems a bit early to be petitioning for that. Never saw him play in the flesh, but on the videos I have I can see why he was a favorite. Always seemed such a good guy as well.

So us scoring 6 goals in 20 minutes, while rangers score one in 160 minutes is a bad thing? Teams lose games because of split second lapses, if your team lapses for 20 minutes and concedes 6 goals, then you're maybe a shite manager.

Don't think "the greatest" is what we should be hoping for in a goalie. You're also basing your assessment on some of the above from a handful of games, whereas you have years of hindsight to benefit previous managers. We've seen what Marvin is capable of, and fletcher has been injured, then you can add skippy and Pearson who were instrumental in keeping us up and will be key this year. He signed straker and Taylor, who were awful, and Thomas who was a mistake. Clarkson was clearly signed as backup. Baraclough couldn't do the job, but let's not exaggerate.

Think Steve Evans would be a better fit for the Rangers manager, or tax adviser. No chance we go anywhere near him. I am also ruling myself out.

Not a huge Pressley fan, but he ticks most of the boxes, and has actually proved that he can bring through youngsters, which is his philosophy. So I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with him.
