Les Hutchison has been at the club all week apparently, and the last communications suggested a formal announcement today, don't know if that has changed or if there is a presser scheduled for this evening.
And in Bara's pre-match interview he seemed to suggest that everything has been resolved.
The left back is cover for Hammell, who should hopefully be back in the next 3-4 weeks and will regain his position as our full time LB, and we also have Watt who can do a job there. If Hammell hadn't had the setback last week I doubt we would have gone for this guy.
I assume we are aiming a larger chunk of our resources at some of the more pressing areas such as a forward and a CB, and maybe CM. So I am not looking at this move as anything more as a depth move in an area where we are thin.
The MFC twitter suggests that Laing will be in tomorrow, and there will be more to follow, including a forward.
Flow on twitter - Whoever was reported to have fallen through in the record today (that keeper?) was bollocks, and at least 2 expected in before Saturday.
"Hopefully we have the tractor ready for Friday's press conference"
Unfortunately the owner of the tractor is now using it, so we're trying to get one of those shopping trolleys with the toy car attached to it.
Why are we so bad at this? Teams operating in the same market at us seem to be getting business done, are they spending more money or just bringing in shite?
Vigurs probably did break down in training, allowing burns to backtrack on his made up story, which also included us being interested in a left back from Shef Utd who was actually under contract at Boro.
So, rumour roundup:
Some Hungarian winger, argentine keeper, irish center back, twitter rumours of richie towell but that seems unlikely since he was reported as staying with his club last week, Heffernan of Hibs, James Dayton, missed any?
A 32 year old center back who spent 10 years at Scunthorpe, and currently of Alfreton Town. Possible he is helping in a coaching capacity, but I'll just outrage myself anyway.
Twitter has some Argentine guy coming on loan. Too lazy to paste or translate, look on Twitter
Got un-lazy:
Manuel Garcia of Rosario, GK - http://www.rosariocentral.com/planteles/garcia-manuel/
We're toast.
The only positive is that we aren't tied to many contracts for next season.
We won't bounce straight back up as there are better organized clubs down there and we'll go the way of Dunfermline.
Whereas the supporters some of the bigger teams like Hearts and Hibs (and Utd in previous years) have rallied around their club, I believe that our support will dwindle further.
