Watching last night Rangers have a pretty ropey defence and only the pace of Miller and skill of Vuckic upfront. Hibs played some pretty football but no real threat. However, against either we will need our defence to be at their very best and given that this has only happened once or twice this year I have big concerns. I can see Ainsworth/Johnson/Erwin causing either defence problems. As others have said we will need to bolster midfield.

I do feel bad giving Sutton a hard time but when we have him in the team we go one dimensional. We need more movement and pace up front. He never has had this. Great goal scorer when given correct service but never been a good hold up centre forward.

for me it was more about the manner of the defeat. Back to how we were before we brought in Johnson, Skippy and Pearo. Defence was very poor and no creativity. Yes Partick are not a bad side but we really did not pose them any problems. only good thing is Killie/Partick only 7 ahead and Ross likely to be 6 and every one has to play each other. I hope we can win 5 but not by playing that style as we did today.

you make a fair point but I still contend Sutton should be used as an impact sub. Maybe Erwin would have scored?

I think we need to be realistic and ensure we get 11th. From what I heard Partick outplayed us and could have scored more. I can see us beating, Accies and St. Mirren and maybe a draw against Killie but the other 2 are better than we are on that form today.

I really don't understand why we played Sutton. It has not worked all season and we reverted to type. Get a winger on and give proper service from wide. Not sure what Barraglough's thought process was.

Whats the point in having a positive attitude if you cant organise and motivate a team? I am not absolving the players but Ian Needs to start showing his managerial ability soon or else he is out. He has a massive job to get the fans back on his side.

I so wanted the manager to succeed and I thought a change was what the team needed to give us a boost. however, I can see no discernible pattern to our play, the style is hoof ball and the older players seem to lack motivation. I cant see this changing in the near term and so relegation is staring us in the face. The board have a very hard decision to make and I am not sure giving him any more time is the right one. I just wish I saw light at the end of the tunnel
