No need to - like God Joe Wark was all around

And you also could change ends by going behind the stand. Was pretty treacherous as this was also used as an additional toilet. Used to be some "exchanges of views" with the rival fans behind the stand too. Funny seeing guys trying to punch and kick each other whilst slipping down the hill.

My view is spend more money on youth development. It has probably been the most profitable part of Motherwell business over the years and has saved us from going bust. We need to develop players we can sell on for £1mm plus and bringing players to the first team squad(easier said than done I know) and to do this we need to invest heavily in coaching, facilities and scouting talent (in a perfect world develop an academy). We have had a good record in this area previously and could develop this further. I would like to see the stadium given a general facelift and have an area set aside for fans who want o stand and create an atmosphere.

That because we have won one league game in the last 10 scoring very few goals (Edit 3?). Suggest we are more likely to be heading down than going up based on that trend. Hopefully time will prove me wrong but...............

No disagreement but scoring in a games is very different from training and bounce games. Apparently Casagolda scores regularly in bounce games and according to McCall is lively in training. Difficult to understand why it does not translate to goals in the real world.

I think that Gannon has the potential to be a good manager. His views on the way the game should be played are right (IMHO). However, I think he has a problem in dealing with folk. I have no problem with him getting players to do more and upsetting those that are in their comfort zone. But he needs to do this in a way that does not allienate the players en masse. He seems to be able to instill confidence in young players (Fear factor?) but gets the back up of established players (if stories are to be believed). I think he may need to change his ways or his potential may remain unfulfilled especially if he gets punted so soon into his time with Port Vale.

Well they must be really shite then!!!! My point is that strikers over any other players cost more - so the need to pay that bit extra for them. We were willing to bring in Grella so why not someone else? I have heard we tried and failed for a number of players. No doubt wages being a big part of the problem. I am not advocating panic here but surely there was a CF available who could have added something to the team.

Totally disappointed by the club's failure to bring someone in. From a relatively good feeling on Sunday to feeling down today. Anyone can see we badly need a goal scorer, if we had one I think we would have beaten Rangers on Sunday. We did play well but had no penetration up front. As has been pointed out we have freed up some significant wages and taken some cash for Reynolds so surely the board could have supported the manager in getting someone in. Clearly we could afford someone as we had Grella lined up but why no one else? This inactivity will further depress the gates as we start to slip down the table (not implying relegation but we are heading for lower mid table). Short sighted by the board.

Humphrey pens contract extension Motherwell Football Club are today delighted to confirm that winger Chris Humphrey has signed a one-year extension to his current contract. The Jamaican-born winger has been in sensational form this term, so much so, a call-up to Craig Levein’s Scotland squad has been muted in some quarters. The deal brings an end to a month of transfer speculation in which he has been linked with various clubs both north and south of the border. Despite interest from both north and south of the border, the 23-year-old has penned an extended deal that will keep him at Fir Park until the summer of 2013. Speaking exclusively to motherwellfc.co.uk, Humphrey said, “When the club approached me and asked if I would sign an extension to my contract it was an immediate answer. “When my family and I were going through a very difficult time the Club and the fans offered us amazing support. We are very much settled here and I could not be happier than to agree to extend my contract with a club that offers the support that we received when we needed it. “I just hope I can perform to the best of my ability and repay the faith shown in me by both the club and the fans.” Chief Executive Leeann Dempster added, “This is yet another example of the club trying to keep the best young talent here at Motherwell and I, along with the rest of the board and the manager, am thrilled Chris has agreed to extend his deal. Chris has been excellent and this show of loyalty to the club should not be underplayed.”

Driving down from Abereen and there are 4 of us. But if there is a cancellation and a 4th seat comes up PM me and we will take the seats as I wwould prefer not to have hassle of parking in and around Hampden. We will be leaving about 9am on Sunday so would need to hear before then (or I can PM my moby number just let me know).

Me. Used to travel on this bus regularly then started going on the 56 as it gave a bit more flexibility if you know what I mean . Dont remeber the 5 a side team obviously was not good enough to be asked.

Aye I know I was on a bit of a wind up. But still would take him back and no doubt we would only pay a portion of his wages. Apparently Boyd to Rangers with the h**s only paying half his wages was mentioned.

Aye we are missing Alan Gow (ducks for cover)
