WTF is going on. On here and in the BBC I hear Hately is either a defender or midfielder however todays Rancid (I know I know I should not believe anything in there) are saying he is a striker!!! Meanwhile, Gannon last night signed striker Tom Hateley on a one-year deal.The 20-year-old son of Rangers legend Mark has agreed terms at Fir Park a year after losing out on the chance to sign for Hamilton.Hateley left Reading at the end of last season and while he struggled to break into the first team he gained a reputation as a regular scorer for the reserves. Anyway I am sure we will find out soon enough.

Last nights result was a travesty. Motherwell outplayed this team and embarrassed them for the first hour of the game. The referee was the worst I have ever seen in my life and his assistants could not even distinguish the correct way a throw should be awarded. The ref must have been bad even the BBC and Daily Record say so FFS!! Steau did show some class when the pressure was off but they looked a very ordinary side when we got in about them in the first half. However, I can't see them progressing much further given that they could not hold a very young and inexperienced Well side and needed the referee to rescue them, because we would have scored 4 or 5 if we had got 1 of the penalties. Even though they played 2 or 3 reserves they still had a team full of internationals. But we should be proud of the team and they deserved every bit of applause they got at the end gives me some hope for the season.

Gazzy B I could argue about your view of individual performances but my concern is that our team performance against a very poor side was abysmal. We should not be getting beat by them, not in a bounce game, not in a friendly and certainly not in a Europa League game. Yes one or two played OK but that iit s not enough for an SPL team however depleted. For me the only positive is that Gannon will realise the job he has in front of him.

I actually think going out of the EL next week may be a blessing in disguise. It would give Gannon a chance to rebuild the team and work on formations without the pressures of competitive football. That said we should not be losing to a team that is so poor they made Airdrie look good. I am sure Gannon has now upped his view of how many players he needs and on last night's performance it is much more than 6.

I have said this for a long time and it is not just a reaction to last nights's game but McGarry is up there with the worst players ever to wear the C&A. He should be punted now and his wages given to someone who can get and keep himself fit and show some passion and committment to the club. Sad thing is there is a footballer in there somewhere but he needs to fuck off from Fir Park and find it again.

I like that. Even if Quinn does not play this would be a strong set up and we should win.
