  1. He finally gets one of the moves he was holding out for!
  2. Happy New Year to all Well fans everywhere! Let's get right behind the team for 2010!!!
  3. There were some shocking challenges flying in last night, many of which didn't even result in a foul. Stevie Hammell's (I think it was anyway) lucky he can walk after that one that took his boot off, could have been a bad one. PS: Great sig by the way! Game On!

Well there's no snow at all on the east side of Edinburgh. Just cold, wind and rain!
  5. I think the problem was that Gannon was going for job interviews and actively looking to move elsewhere while looking to sell players from the club. Brown and Knox won't be looking for another move.
  6. Just to throw in my 2 cents on Gannon, I've been delighted with the job he's done with the club. He brought in some good loans/signings, played some promising youngsters and tried to get us playing good football. I've not agreed with all his footballing decisions but I've kept faith in what he's done thinking that he had a long term plan. It was becoming apparent over the past few weeks though that there seemed to be a lack of dig about the team and a lot of players looked jaded. I didn't agree with dropping the senior players all the time either as it seemed to be done just to prove a point rather than on merit. From the information available about all this, it sounds like Gannon really had lost the dressing room and if the stories of singing on the bus etc are to be believed then it really explains the apparent lack of energy the last few weeks. The most important thing is the future of MFC and by getting rid of Gannon now, JB is protecting the club's interests to allow a new manager on a longer term contract to come in and build a squad. I'm disappointed that Gannon refused to sign a contract and had certainly misjudged his motivations towards taking the Motherwell job. He's done some good work and provided a decent base for a new manager to work on. Now we need someone who can manage the players and return some confidence to the side.
  7. Yeah, still can't believe it happened. Will always be remembered as a class act and a great leader to the best Motherwell team I've ever seen. In a footballing sense, I still wonder how good the rest of the 07/08 season would have been if he were still playing. All the best to his family and I hope the walk raises a lot of money for a good cause.
  8. I could see Craigan and Lasley featuring in the team tomorrow. I think Craig Brown will probably look to field a mix of experience and youth. I'm expecting something along the lines of: Ruddy Moutouakil - Craigan - Reynolds - Hammell O'Brien - Lasley - Jennings - Slane Sutton - Jutkiewicz EDIT: Just seen Craig Brown on SSN saying that he'll be taking charge after the Hearts game so in that case, I have no clue what the team will be! He was talking about us having some very talented youngsters and some good seasoned pros so it could be a bit more of a blend with Brown at the helm. I definitely expect Craigan to feature tomorrow night though.
  9. I think he's saying that hibs comitted 23 fouls in a game and we have only given away 24 over our last 4 games i.e. averaging 6 a game. At least, that's what I took it to mean.
  10. Merry Christmas everyone! Have a good one!
  11. St Johnstone will come out and pressure us and push us about. Something we've not coped too well against so far this season. I think we need to bring Sutton back in as his link up play will be exactly what's needed for this sort of game. I'd also be tempted to get Craigan back in, I think his experience could be a settling influence on the team after this weekend's humbling. Whatever the team is though, it's a big game and an important one to win. Luckily the teams around us have been dropping points too so there's not much change in the table but the chasing pack are slowly edging up the way. We need to get a couple of wins in the next few games to earn a bit of breathing room.
  12. Very disappointed to be caught out by the long high ball over the top so many times. I think a few of the young lads are going to learn a lot from this experience. May even turn out to be the kick up the arse we need.
  13. Fuck! Ripped apart by Kirk fucking Broadfoot.
  14. Yes! Got to keep the head and build on it.
  15. Meechan on for Hammell. Not the best day at the office for Hammy.
  16. I meant a serious doing. Here come the subs.
  17. Yeah, bad mistake by Ruddy there for the 3rd. We need to settle it down or we're in danger of being humped.
  18. Fantastic save Ruddy! Goan yersel big man! EDIT: HT
  19. And it was about 10 yards back from where the free kick was taken!
  20. How the hell can they give a bye kick for that?!? Blatant corner.
