  1. Fantastic stream, cheers lads.
  2. Is that a free stream somewhere or is it paid?
  3. We're causing our own problems here. Giving the ball away too much, putting ourselves under pressure.
  4. Cleared off the line by Saunders! We're struggling so far...
  5. I think he's spot on saying the result didn't matter yesterday. Heading into the game against the league leaders on the back of a poor performance at Easter Road, I don't think anyone expected us to win. It was more important to get a good performance and see off the bad day at the office so we're on the up for our next few games and not losing confidence after a string of poor displays.
  6. What do I have, a crystal ball? I don't know what will happen but if enough pressure is put on the SFA and they have all or most of the SPL managers putting on a united front they're going to have to do something. Keevins headline is just typical of the Record's usual bullshit. It's very interesting comparing the article by Keevins to that in the Scotsman. Going by that article, it was a single comment to provide an example of the effect bad decisions could have. What he's quoted as saying in there is that if Celtic were to lose the league by a point then the decisions in that game would have had a direct effect on the outcome of the title. Typical sensationalism from Keevins and the usual tactic of the Record and Sun targetting their headlines to your average knuckle dragging old firm fan.
  7. A reporting system isn't a black and white thing. It's an avenue for managers to highlight issues raised by the referee's performance. It doesn't mean that they're wrong in what they say or that their complaint should be taken as gospel. It's simply a way to give proper feedback which can then be evaluated and decided whether said manager has a case and how the referee in question performed overall. I'm sure John Hughes would have had a lot of complaints on Saturday as well as Iain Brines was pish for both teams. It wasn't just big decisions either, he kept getting everything wrong, an advantage here, a 50-50 there, the same as the ref for the Utd game, hence why Gannon slated him after that. I don't agree that we should just accept the SFA's approach on this and get on with it. If something's wrong, do something about it, don't just stick your head in the sand. Even by not speaking about the issues Gannon's putting pressure on the SFA. He's saying just enough to highlight that he's not happy with the ref without getting into specifics and getting himself or the club in trouble. The more people that stand up to the mistakes by referees, the more likely it is that something will be done about them. EDIT: The Daily Record link: Clicky EDIT: A less sensationalist link to the Scotsman
  8. Yeah, I get what he's saying it's just, call me naive if you like, but I don't think the referees are dishonest, they're just shite. I don't see them going out to deliberately cost us games, if anything I'd think it would work the other way and refs would be scared to upset us in case they get another tongue lashing from JG.
  9. If you think about any other walk of life, if you're bad at your job you don't make it to the top. Why should referees be allowed to carry on regardless of how badly they perform. Some sort of league table for refs where the top performers get the top games and the poorer performers get moved down the leagues could only be a good thing in my opinion. They don't need to single people out or slate referees but at the moment the shutters come down and there's not even any acknowledgement of mistakes being made. The more feedback can be made, the more referees can learn from their mistakes and strive to improve themselves. It's a poor choice of words but I don't think it's anything more than that. Gannon's spoken many a time about his plans for the future and I don't see him leaving because of a spat with the sfa. You're beginning to sound a bit like a Celtic fan.
  10. We were aggrieved against United though. We had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside. It was plain to see that the referee was atrocious that day though. Against Hibs, it was absolutely ridiculous that we committed so few fouls yet had that many bookings, two of them when our players were the ones fouled. And Hibs, committing the number of fouls they did, having so few yellows. Even if they were just for persistent fouling they should have had more.

    Hibernian

Jamie Murphy for me. Thought he was superb on the ball for the entire game just unfortunately didn't get on it as much after the half-time switches. His booking was a disgrace as well, never a dive.
  12. I live in Edinburgh as well, just 5 min walk from Easter Road actually. I'm actually liable to be smack bang in the middle of a full on Hibby bar. Scarf tucked into pocket, top zipped up over shirt. Meeting a few folks from my work (Hibees) for a couple of pints beforehand.
  13. I noticed at the time that the substitution was made straight after Murphy got chopped down by one of United's big donkeys. It could have been that he took a sore one and the sub was a precaution. Also, we lost the 2nd goal because we were pushing up trying to kill the game. We got caught on the break and punished, not sitting back inviting them onto our box. Personally, although disappointed that we haven't picked up a couple more points, I'm delighted with how we're doing. Young players are always going to struggle for consistency and to know how and when to change the tempo of the game. We're proving hard to beat, the players are performing well and every week we're looking more and more comfortable with the system. They'll get there, it's all going in the right direction. Youngsters especially need a bit of patience and the support of all the fans.
  14. Very harsh to blame Lasley for giving the ball away there. Saunders should never have passed it to him in the first place as Lasley was under pressure even before he received the ball.

Murphy for me. He was absolute class today and I think he seems to be brimming with confidence just now. He ran the United defence ragged at times and dragged people all over the place. Pass marks for the whole team though. I didn't think there was anyone that had a particularly bad game.
  16. I actually thought that we played well today and for the most part don't think there was a single player that had a particularly bad game. Hatelely got us in to trouble a few times but was also pretty solid for the majority of the game. Yassin did better than he has in previous weeks I though, although his crossing still needs work. How he can play inch perfect cross-field passes from the half way line and then fail to beat the first man on a cross into the box is beyond me! A lot of good performances today though. Sutton did well and I'm really glad he scored as his hard work over this season has really paid off for the team and he's deserved to get a goal. Another cracker from Jutkiewicz and Murphy was superb today. I can only think that he was maybe subbed after taking a wee knock or something because he was terrorising United at points. It feels like a loss due to having been in front and controlling the game but it feels like we're close to it all clicking and taking some team to pieces. The main thing that disappointed me today was that it was a very exciting match but when they started to get under pressure, United resorted to just kicking every man up in the air. And don't get me started on the ref. He seemed determined to prevent either team playing football, poor show.
  17. "REYNOLDS SET FOR [insert Bigot Brother Here] SWITCH" "The [insert Shite Paper Here] can exclusively reveal that Motherwell's highly rated stopper Mark Reynolds is on the verge of a sensational switch to the Glasgow giant. When asked about his future, he didn't say that he doesn't want to go to [insert Bigot Brother Here]. It's thought that they will swoop for the 19 year old, who has played over 400 games for Motherwell since breaking through to the first team 5 years ago. Growing up in Motherwell, Reynolds has of course always wanted a move to [insert Bigot Brother Here] and that dream looks set to become a reality." In all seriousness, I thought both Reynolds and Gannon handled their interviews very well and said all the right things. It's also good to see that John Barnes didn't attempt to bait the manager or get into an argument like some of the other "journos" in the country.
  18. Coke had one from distance, as did Forbes and Reynolds too. How about Murphy's goal last week, or Forbes' against St Johnstone on the opening day? We're shooting from distance much more than we did under McGhee. We're still guilty of trying to overplay at times but I think we're taking much more shots from distance than we did in the last couple of years.

Exactly. Especially with the amount of young players we have in our team, it was bound to happen at some point. We're still picking up points though but it's going to be tricky from here on out. Dundee United next week, Hibs the week after, followed by Celtic and Rangers. Lets hope we can keep picking up points over this spell and pick up the form to get us through a tough period of games.

Ruddy. Made some great saves to keep us in the game and couldn't do anything with the goal. Commanded his box well, lets hope we can keep him at least until the summer. Also thought Murphy had a good game, looked very positive and made some great runs, just a shame nobody in the 2nd half was really moving to help him.
  21. Why? In 20 years time these kids are going to be the adults attending games and supporting the club and hopefully bringing their kids along too. If the club doesn't do anything to try and make the football exciting for youngsters then what's going to happen to it in future generations? How many kids, if left out of going to the football would end up supporting one of the old firm like their mates instead of their local team? Youngsters are the future of the club and of football in general, the club should be doing everything they can to entice more of them along IMO.
  22. Fair enough. I just wonder at times why anyone would want to be involved with writing press releases etc for a club. No matter how you word it, everyone will sit and analyse it to the nth degree and draw their own conclusions. Maybe we need to restrict all answers to yes or no.
  23. Maybe it's an indicator that he doesn't think Flow's doing his job either and that he's going to get a youngster in to do the official site
