  1. I'm going for this finally being the game we get back to winning ways. My team would be (although not likely to happen): Smith Saunders Klimpl Reynolds Hammell Hughes Lasley Fitzpatrick Clarkson Porter Murphy If we're going 4-3-3 (which I doubt we will but it would be good to see) I think we need the mobility of Clarky and Murph up front which would allow Porter to poach and flick the ball out wide. Sutton to come on once one of the three is knackered. Malcolm not included as I personally don't think we can afford to play him in a midfield 3. I'm strangely confident about Saturday, I think we've hit rock bottom and are ready to bounce back. Still think we may concede but I'm going for a 3-1 win, Ports double and Clarky coming back with a bang (if he's fit).
  2. I tend to agree with you there mate. He's been a lot less indecisive and for the most part has organised his defence well. One or two dodgy moments but no more so than any other keeper.
  3. Yer awfy reasonable for a celtic fan! I totally agree with what SteelEdge has to say and will be renewing my season ticket as well. To me it just isn't a Saturday without heading through to the football. I may be frustrated with the way the team's playing at the moment but I don't support them any less and never will. I most certainly never have and never will boo the players off the pitch as I believe it does more harm than good. The players are the same ones who took the league by storm last year and they haven't suddenly become bad players overnight. That makes it even more frustrating at times but I'm sure the players will come good eventually, I really think we just need a couple of goals to get the confidence up and to play a bit of football. The times we looked best on Monday were when we were passing the ball about. There's still plenty of time to turn this season around, the league's still very tight.

I still haven't received a letter either. Or my reallocation ticket for the last Rangers match! Just dropped in to the ticket office though and picked up my free tickets for the ICT game, don't need the letter.
  5. That was my first look at "Krippler" and to be honest, I thought he did alright last night. He was obviously keen to show what he can do and seems to want to repay the club for sticking by him through his injury. Overall I thought his problem was that he tried a bit too hard. He seemed to have a good touch though and a decent passing ability although he struggled a bit with the high ball. Definitely worth another game though and I think the more he plays the more settled he'll get.
  6. I certainly wouldn't be playing Malcolm at right back. He's not got the pace or the positional awareness for it. It was a nightmare last season when he played there and although he's admittedly improved a lot, I don't believe it's the right call. Klimpl will get a chance to prove himself over the next few weeks and hopefully he'll make a positive impact. I probably agree about giving Reynolds a chance further up the pitch but have absolutely hee haw idea who could do a job at right back in place of Quinn.
  7. No chance we could get anywhere near his wages I reckon.
  8. Face like a half chewed toffee Not convinced he's a footballer either. But McGhee's certainly more qualified to judge that than me.
  9. You win this round KirkySuperSub... And as Dosser30 says, Joe Wark - 464 games, that is a real legend! :worshippy:
  10. Never mind that, I didn't realise how good Ian St John's record was! I knew he was good but 80 goals in 113 games?! EDIT: Too late
  11. Not such a daft idea in principle. Look at how well the lad Falkirk had did up here. Stokes wasn't it? If they had some decent young players looking for experience it could definitely be a good shout, although not at the expense of our own youngsters, they get priority in my book.
  12. I think Craigan certainly gives us the benefit of experience at the back and while you can slate his distribution and skill on the ball, IMO he's good at reading the game and tends to bring a bit of consistency to the back line.

Have these letters been sent to all season ticket holders or just some? I've not received anything at all. I wonder if they're still sending stuff to my address from 4 years ago in Aberdeen?
  14. We're only 4 points off 5th (I think) so it's not as far gone as some seem to think. The league is really tight at the moment, although Hearts and United have opened up a decent gap in for the time being. Hearts aren't playing great but are grinding out results. I think United will be the team to catch as they're playing consistently well at the moment.
  15. Glad to hear he's not looking to move. Hughes is easily the most skillful player at the club and (from last season's viewing) can dismantle teams when he's on form. Okay, he's not been at his best this term but he's been improving and I think we would really miss him if he did go.
  16. Great to have the site back, work's been so dull the last few weeks! Good job getting everything up and running again Gaag.
