  1. I'm surprised that you consider the Stjarnan result to be the worst in the club's history. They were definitely more than a flash in the pan, they went on to put out Lech Poznan in the next round. The fitness thing is another question though, and that plagued us for the whole season. We were lucky to finish so high up the league.
  2. Does this mean he's back to being the Ginger Judas instead of Pearo?
  3. Let's just not bother with defence then and go for an old school 2-3-5 formation. I'm sure we have better forward players than they do!
  4. I'm surprised no-one's mentioned former "best manager in the world" Mark Warburton...
  5. Can they not just get one on emergency loan from Celtic? Or is it only Hibs that are allowed to do that?
  6. Definitely clutching at straws, but I liked the limited glimpse of Frear today when he actually got released into space. His first instinct was to run at his man and try to get a ball in, which he managed once I think, and won a corner with another (if I remembered correctly). Not much to shout about, but it was one of the very few positives today. Also, McDonald and Moult must be sick to the back teeth of having to try and do everything themselves week after week. What a waste that we've not got a team currently capable of providing the service they deserve. That pairing could be deadly.

    Boycott ?

It's hard enough to get fans going nowadays, a boycott would surely only hurt the club further and make it even more difficult to get players of the standard we expect in future. Players (and other staff) get paid regardless and it would just create more strain on an already tight budget.
  8. Perhaps overstated my case in the heat of the moment, but I certainly wouldn't say Samson was the main culprit for the goals today, and sarcastic applause when he made subsequent saves was helping nobody. First goal aside, Dundee's players were given loads of time and space for the goals. There's an argument to be made that Samson could and should be organising them to a point, but they're grown men who have been playing football for a good chunk of years, surely the outfield players have to take the flak for today's goals? On a more general note, I don't rate Samson as a keeper, and he gives me the fear, but he didn't deserve the shit he took today when others were more culpable. And yes, I was there, had a pretty good view of all the goals we conceded from the Cooper stand.
  9. My point was regarding the specific, basic mistakes made today. Simple marking at set pieces, communication, and not getting (repeatedly) turned by your man. I was merely suggesting that I wouldn't have expected the more experienced trio to make these same mistakes. Their mistakes versus Aberdeen were more unfortunate and due to other reasons than basic marking 101. Anyway, so your point is that we're totally doomed, everyone's shite, and we shouldn't bother turning up any more?
  10. Yes but we aren't playing Aberdeen today. Seeing the mistakes that have been made today, I would not have expected them to make the same mistakes. They might make different ones but today's have been basic schoolboy stuff.
  11. Also, harsh to blame Samson for any of today. He's done fuck all wrong (except maybe could have shouted for the OG).
  12. Of course it's hard to argue either way as we can't see it with and without, but im confident that at least some of what we're seeing right now wouldn't have happened with them on the park.
  13. The majority of whom aren't playing today. Seeing the value Lasley, McManus and Hammell still have to offer I think. Absolutely zero leadership on that park right now. But then you'd know that, right?
  14. Fucking horrendous. Whole team looks terrified of putting a tackle in, Jules and Chalmers don't appear to have a clue what they're meant to be doing, and that fifth goal?!! The whole stadium can see three Dundee players at the back post and nobody thinks to go and mark them. Fucking disgraceful. Players have absolutely sold the jerseys today. Can only hope for some divine inspiration at half time.
  15. Reminds me of a certain US President...
  16. Tierney seems to be making plenty of fuss about it in the papers today. I'm still baffled as to what the rules are now though, as I still think Bowman's was much worse than either McDonald or McHugh's, and could have had much worse consequences.
  17. I really don't get the fascination with who we beat and who we lose to. A win versus a top six or bottom six opponent is worth exactly the same number of points. So Dundee have done better against top six clubs than us. Good for them. They've obviously then lost points elsewhere (I.e. against bottom six clubs) or they'd be out of sight of us.
  18. I thought that looked worse than McHugh's the other week and was reminiscent of O'Halloran's before that.
  19. It's all McFadden's fault. And Flow's, of course. Can't forget about him. Sack the board.
  20. It seems Simo Valakari has been fired as manager of SJK in Finland. Can't be long until his name makes an appearance as the messiah on the "McGhee Out" thread.
  21. Thing is, we've been hearing the same suggestions of "losing the dressing room" under McCall, Barraclough, and now McGhee...it can't ALL be the managers.
  22. Even more so than getting pumped out the cup by Albion Rovers?
