  1. Sound working perfect for me right off the bat!
  2. Watt is most definitely not a full back.
  3. I had an epiphany about a season or two that brought me to the same outlook.
  4. Maybe not that bad a shout actually. Issue will be that, as Robinson says, we need someone to hit the ground running and he won't have had any sort of pre-season. That could perhaps be weighed against the usual settling in period that new players would have?
  5. I imagine playing a youngster in the first team before they are ready could seriously detriment their career. Imagine going to uni to study law, and after the first 6 months be told you’ve been drafted in as the lawyer for the defence on a high-profile case. You’d crumble. Maybe not the best comparison, but these young boys touted as being first team cover are still very much serving an apprenticeship at the moment and won’t be ready physically or mentally for first team football.
  6. I personally think we'll be pretty much unchanged from the United game, possibly one or two changes along the front. Not sure playing with wingers is working when teams just want to sit in deep against us. Doubt we'll see it , but I think something like the below could work where we'd get the 2 up top and Turnbull has the opportunity to find the pockets of space when attacking and to drop into a bank of 4 when we're defending. But can't see anything other than starting with wingers tbh. Carson Grimmy - Dec - Mugabi - Lamie O'Hara - Campbell - Polworth Turnbull Watt - Long

  8. Other than ITK forum posts, has the Donnelly injury been confirmed anywhere?
  9. As above, think Watt deserves a chance to start up top if we're going with a lone striker and think Hastie needs dropped or played on the left, as he's been so ineffective on the right. I had the radio commentary on alongside the stream at the weekend, can't remember who was on the commentary team but Watt was taking a fair bit of criticism for 'not playing like a centre forward', etc. I definitely fall more into the happy clapper category than your typical doom-monger forum member, but I do really think we need a result against Livi. In-form Hibs at the weekend and Celtic coming up soon also, we need some points on the board/goals scored/clean sheets soon.
  10. Does anyone have sound yet? Wondering if it’s across the board or just certain platforms
  11. I reckon Lamie will go to left back, and Donnelly will drop in to centre half given he played there more than once during pre-season. If both do miss out I reckon we have problems. I think we all know that we're a bit light at the back, but was hoping it wouldn't be an issue by week 2. I'd personally either drop Hastie or move him to the left, and would prefer Watt starting over Seedorf. With the exception of White, I think you could start any of our forwards anywhere along the front 3 and be confident of causing problems for the opposition purely out of not knowing who was playing where. I don't know if we want to be going with 'out and out' wingers based on the number of times we got to the by-line the other night or the number of crosses we got into the box. Carson Grimmy - Gallagher - Donnelly - Lamie O'Hara - Turnbull - Campbell Long - Watt - Hastie/Seedorf/Polworth/Hylton
  12. I'd say that was more a criticism of Hastie than it was an endorsement for Seedorf tbh.
  13. Nobody's told the club it seems...
  14. Keep in mind that Seedorf's cameo the other night was against an 18 year old debutant that had already played 60 minutes of football. Not saying I wasn't surprised by how effective he was, but worth keeping in context that it was half an hour of decent football weighed against last season of being largely ineffective.
  15. Mcginley. Solid defensively, looked good going forward too.
  16. I feel like the possession and shots stats are a bit misleading, as for the most part we didn't do much of note and RC were happy to sit in and soak it up. Dead balls were poor barring one or two corners, and the decision not to play never mind start Campbell is a weird one (hopefully carrying a minor knock, and not anything more sinister like an imminent transfer...) Having said all of that, we controlled most of the game. Gallagher will win us more points than he loses us over the course of the season, we're not going to give away daft penalties on the regular. We're also not going to miss penalties on the regular. The defence was totally untroubled all night, and McGinley looks like he may be able to offer something going forward and give Carroll a good bit of competition. The red card was also incorrect in my opinion, not sure if we will appeal it but I did think Lang looked very promising. Seedorf was also looking very good when he came on - despite what some others have said on here, you're an outright liar if you think he should have started as he was totally ineffective for 90% of last year regardless of what side he played on. Also worth bearing in mind he was up against an 18 year old debutant who had played an hour of football more than he had, be interested to see if he is as good against more established defenders when on from the start. All in all, I'm still fairly optimistic for the season ahead. Turnbull needs to be central, and Campbell needs to play. He's maybe not as mobile as Grimmy but I'd even look at moving Donnelly to RB to accommodate it as our distribution down that side was poor last night. Not a fan of the inverted winger when teams don't come on to us and leave space in behind, I'd be quite happy dropping Hastie to play Long/Watt through the middle with DT in behind pinging through balls for them. I'd rather play with no wingers than having a lop-sided team that is totally ineffective out wide.
  17. Agree that we probably need a bit more cover at full back, but would be very surprised if we got it. Utility cover is best we can hope for I reckon given the signings we've been making further up the field.
  18. Hopefully there will still be the option for no sponsor once one has been announced.
  19. Interesting line-up, Hastie the only naturally wide player. Polworth playing as part of the front 3 perhaps, with Turnbull in front of Donnelly/Campbell?
  20. Hoping they make it up through the playoffs.
  21. I raised a similar point on the streaming thread. I can see there being a fairly reasonable agreement being come to with the majority of the clubs, but given how the OF have been shafting everyone with their own TV packages for years I wonder how those games will be accessed. Also remains to be seen what the T's and C's with Sky are in terms of caps on numbers, etc. I had thought there was something in that stopping the club offering streaming to all fans off the bat.
  22. Hull's relegation could go either way for Scott. Lower division could mean more playing time, unless they decide to be aggressive with signings to go straight back up. If he does do well in League 1, could also damage our sell-on.
  23. Sorry to deviate from the match and back to online streaming chat... Just had another look at our fixtures there. 3 home league games and the 2 away games are on Sky, so happy days for ST holders in lieu of knowing how away matches can be viewed. Game #6 is away to Celtic, can't imagine Sky getting that one so will be interested to see if/how away fans are dealt with across the board and whether the OF do anything differently.
  24. Anyone managed to get fix the bad gateway? Not overly fussed about seeing us getting pumped tonight but would hope these teething issues are sorted for season starting..
  25. Pandemic aside, fans are never allowed in closed door friendlies.
