Unless there are any new injuries, I can't see the starting line-up change from Hibs.

Very surprised by the Scott speculation given he has barely played for Hull. He scored on his debut from memory, but never really got on the park at all during their last few games. If true, possibly these clubs had been tracking him from before we sold him and wanted to see if he would adjust to the switch? I saw the other day that Scott had been given the number 11 for this season, which would suggest in contention for a starting position. As financially beneficial as it would be for him to move on early, I hope it doesn't have an impact on his playing time/future career.

Rogic apparently heading to Qatar for £4million, be interested to see if that spurs Celtic into moving early...

My understanding of it was that Sky own the exclusive rights to the domestic football, and that under the current circumstances were allowing clubs to stream until we could get fans back in. Not sure if that it would be the same agreement for European football, especially since those rights are owned exclusively by BT. Wondering if the BBC are showing the N.Irish sides playing because it is such an early round.

Has there been any word on how we will be able to watch next week's game? Assuming us and Aberdeen will be playing on the same night, will the BBC cover both?
-
I doubt we'll sign another goalie. If anything were to prevent Carson playing, either Morrison would step up or we would likely be able to sign someone on emergency cover. No point wasting a wage on that just now.

Not saying it isn't true and won't happen, but looks like lazy journalism from the Scum as per usual. "Old Firm club to maybe make an offer on a player they were previously interested in within the next 2 months."
-
Are we talking about the same Watt, Long and White?
-
100% this. Whether the Hibs players claimed or not is irrelevant tbh, that's why we have officials to make decisions. The linesman can see he is in an offside position, the ref can see how close he is to the keeper, you can draw as many lines as you want, but unless Marciano has chronic tunnel vision then Seedorf is undoubtedly within his line of vision. Despite the fact the decision went against us this time I thought it was quite encouraging to see the officials actually communicating before making the correct decision. In terms of the game itself I thought it was quite heartening to see us play as we did. Carson had one save to make maybe? Hibs created very little other than where we gifted them opportunities, and those are the type of things that we can iron out. The midfield 3 were excellent, not sure I agree with some of the criticism O'Hara has had about not being effective in that position as I thought he had a very good game and would've been the best midfielder on the park were it not for his two colleagues. O'Donnell was also excellent given he won't have had any sort of real pre-season. My main concern, as others have said, is the final ball but I think that's going to click soon. In contrast to the Livingston game, White held the ball up very well and brought others into play without giving away umpteen fouls. Set pieces are a bit predictable, even when we get a good ball in it goes straight to Gallagher who instantly gives away a free kick for manhandling the defender. Lang will be a real handful when fit. Sherwin looks much improved on the tail end of last season, and am sure Hylton will contribute too once up to speed. Bit harsh to judge on that cameo maybe, but Watt didn't do much when he came on and I do wonder if there is something going on behind closed door as to why he is playing such a limited part so far. In summary, a very encouraging performance and sets us up nicely to be brought back down to earth against Accies.

Can't believe the manager signed O'Donnell to play left left back, and then played him at right back!!
-
Stephen O'Donnell + shirt sponsor = win
-
Would agree with this, possibly Lang in for Seedorf but appreciate he's unlikely to start with only about ten minutes of football to his name so far.

Nice touch with the charitable donation.

You're mental.

Saw on Twitter earlier in the week that Steven Saunders is moving into a career in insurance & mortgages this week. Always liked him as a player, his career was definitely impacted by injuries.
-
I.d probably play him at RB and keep the defence as it was the other night until the injured players return. A Grimmy/O'Donnell combo, regardless of who plays where, is a terrible idea imo.
-
O’Donnell and Gallagher playing club football next to each other is only a good thing for the international side as well you’d imagine, assuming our form picks ups a bit. May help Dec nail down the Scotland spot, which would only benefit us financially in the future.

In the know, without know it...
-
His distribution is pretty poor, but he is probably our fifth or sixth choice centre half so hardly expected to be a ball-playing defender. I thought he done okay last night and in previous games from a purely defensive perspective. Also should've scored last night.
-
I had suggested we play something similar last night, but with Turnbull sitting in front of a midfield 3 rather than Maguire sitting behind. I know you don't really want to be dropping young players into a poorly performing side, but given current injuries to centre back and defensive mid option you have to wonder when Maguire is going to get a shot in the team if not now.
-
Is O'Donnell still training with Accies? By no means 'international standard', but certainly a lot better than many on here give him credit for.
-
So do you think Robinson's comments last night were only aimed at those playing out of position? Would you think the application of Long and Hastie in the first two games, for example, met the standard you'd expect to see?
-
If his team selection is consistent, he doesn't know his best XI. If he chops and changes every week, he doesn't know his best XI. He's onto a loser every week. We've definitely been impacted by the injuries we've had but based on his comments last night, I think he's realised that the cajoling isn't working at the moment. Will either be a good few changes or a similar line-up with a much-needed kick up the arse against Hibs, but no doubt whatever route we go down will be the wrong one to many fans...
-
He usually doesn't give much away with his body language, but Turnbull was notably raging last night at the movement going on around him. I reckon the 'playing with 7 men' sentiment resonates with some in the squad also. More so than a result, we need a reaction in terms of performance and application on Saturday to show we're all pulling in the same direction.
-
Maybe less of the issue last night, but I think we struggled in the first two games because the opposition were happy to sit in and let us have the ball. Hibs won't do that. If we get some sort of reaction after Robbo's comments last night, this might be a more competitive game than most are expecting based on our recent performances. </happyclapper> Still expect us to get beat, mind you...
