  1. I agree but with our attention on the LoI lately it wouldn't surprise me, underwhelming as it would be.
  2. I see Scott Burns tweeting that Josh Kerr, ex-Celtic and Brighton centre-half has terminated his contract with Bohemians in Ireland. Also played for Airdrie, comes from Coatbridge. A possible as a backup?
  3. He's sitting on the bench for them at Salford (McEntee that is).
  4. Well at least we know that if we can't get bodies in before midnight that the club will be disappointed.
  5. Another sign of a lack of leadership at the club? We need strong characters on and off the field, instead we have players complaining about the fans shouting at them. We need coaching staff and senior players pulling everyone together, feck it, if they feel hard done to then use it as a motivation to instill a seige mentality, don't moan about it on social media. I've spoken to another few fans who are close to chucking it for the season at least, especially after Saturday. The players might get their way and be playing to even more empty seats before they know it (though since they struggled in front of empty seats during the lockdown season it might not be any better for them).
  6. Aye, I remember one of our fans asking one of players (Maskaant?) what the keepers names was during the game and then telling people round about he'd said it was Simon. Simon/Sybrand, sound similar I suppose.
  7. Any inspection planned? I saw a couple of days ago that Arbroath were looking for volunteers to lift covers from the pitch on Saturday morning?
  8. Swindon win their first match after the departure of their Head Coach 5-0. The team was being taken by 2 of the coaching staff, the first named being Gavin Gunning.
  9. Think he also needs to check he's not laying out 2 left boots for a couple of them. Could explain what happened to Penney at the second goal.
  10. Did he not score 2 for Hull a couple of days ago v Wigan? Can't see them letting him go.
  11. Not news but one for other oldies like me. I'd recorded The Big Match Revisited on ITV4 thru the week. Highlights of 3 games from August '74 presented by Brian Moore. The 3rd match was a 2-1 win for Man City at Maine Road v Leeds. The City 'keeper was Keith MacRae. Good to look back at a show from an era when there wasn't much football on TV. Despite that the main game was Gillingham v Charlton in the old Third Division. I've seen a few of them on ITV4 over the last year or 2 and they liked to cover plenty of games from the lower leagues. It's also good to see games from the latter months of the season back then, anyone who complains about the state of pitches now should see what those guys had to play on.
  12. We look like s team that needs some fresh ideas on the coaching side. Maybe we could actually bring in a coach to work with them or have we used the staff budget on Performance Therapists and Analysts?
  13. I saw that ex-Aberdeen forward Chris Maguire had been told he could leave Lincoln City (currently in administration). Getting to the veteran stage at 33 but always seemed to have an eye for goal. I'm sure he's originally from around the Motherwell area too. Don't think he played for Fleetwood, Scunthorpe or Salford right enough.
  14. Forgot to mention the 2-1 victory at home to Rangers when Dickie Gough scored an o.g. to win it for us. Fraser Wishart scored our first iirc.
  15. Wins against the Old Firm always stand out, especially if they involve a late winner. The wins against both at Fir Park when Brian McClair got the goals, the late Ian Ross winner, Bobby Russell's shimmy King winner, the win at Ibrox when Kirkie and Dougie Arnott scored late on, stopping Rangers winning the league at Ibrox when Owen Coyle scored twice, Skippy Sunday. The Ray Farningham game at Ibrox also had great seethe value amongst the Ibrox hordes as well as the Scottish press. Apart from games against them, the 4-3 game at home to Thistle when Higginbottom was winding up the Well fans was also a good laugh.

    Alexander.

He's only going to leave if he decides he wants to.
  17. Tickets available from Fir Park. I called this morning and they said Livi had sent some across. Got mine today. No idea about kids tickets tho,
  18. BBC website gossip page lists a Dundee Courier story that St Johnstone are interested in signing Reece McAlear this summer.

I think the games up to under-18 level have been going ahead, not sure what's happening with the age group above that. The name that was mentioned on here before as a future prospect was Bailey Rice, think he's only 15 so too young to sign a pro contract and both Rangers and Man City were reportedly looking to sign him.
  20. I don't understand that, Robinson was already Motherwell manager when we signed him as he impressed Robinson in training during a brief trial. Or is my memory going in my old age?
  21. His last 3 Well games - 2-0 defeat at Hearts (gave Hearts 2 penalties), 3-2 defeat to Hibs on opening day (winner a penalty given for handball against SOD), Hamilton 4-1 defeat at Fir Park last season (SOD sent off conceding an early penalty).
  22. The 5-1 defeat at Fir Park where he scored a hat-trick, just before the 2018 Scottish Cup Final, was a horrific match.
  23. I thought the opposite about Collum going for the red first chance he got. When the challenge was made I immediately looked at Collum, he was reaching for the right hand pocket on his shorts for his yellow card when he was barged from his left hand side by a Hibs player. It was only when he was surrounded by them he decided he better get the red out pdq. Still an arsehole of a man right enough.
