  1. so if they are removed, there will be 8 teams in that section rather than 10 - meaning there will be 4 games rather than 5 So from the initial list of 5 (Russia, Portugal. Turkey, Holland, Ukraine) - Turkey, Holland, Ukraine will remain and one of the previous non seeds, moves into the seeded section???? Any idea what country that will be?!?!?!?!?
  2. im not 100% sure or how, but i think it might be in our interests if they win it depends what countries then move in to the non winners pool.........(anyone actually know?) however, i'm happy to see the possibility of going to Russia removed
  3. lets hope Hibs go down - apparently interested in one of our out of contract players money makes the world go round - although we are at opposite ends of the table, im pretty much convinced they can offer way more than what we can afford lets hope we get that CL spot - and it appeals to the players as much as it appeals to us (because im pretty sure there is no one in that team - unless they move to Celtic - will ever play in the Champions League - so it really is a once in a life time opportunity)
  4. from a personal financial point of view - im hoping Holland, absolutely no doubt Portugal & Turkey will be summer holiday time, so cant see many cheap flights Moscow is fecking miles away Ukraine (Kiev) is a fcuking horrible place that I would never take my kids too and its an absolute disgrace they are being allowed to host the Euros So Holland it is!!!!!! Unless Chelsea win the Champions League and throw all the co-efficients out the window!!!
  5. As everyone else has said - lunacy!! Higgy offers more than just goals. He cant play up top himself, and we have seen the benefits when he has a partner in crime. Murph and Henrik both want to come deep to get the ball - you need a partnership where they compliment each other, not when both are the same For me, its no coincidence that Hateley and Hammell have both had their worst games for us when Daley has played in front of them. Leave him out the team for later in the game and we should be ok!! As a side note, at one point on Saturday in the first half, (Murphy - i think) had a "chance" to get a shot away as the ball dropped/bounced - although it wasnt really a "chance" - if he had hit that shot, it was going in the top tier..............but that small nanosecond clearly separated those in the support who know and dont know about football A very difficult game for us tomorrow, especially with the way they played against Utd and with a cup final looming - you dont know what Hearts will turn up - but our incentive has to be CL football and transfer all the pressure to Utd COYW!!!!!!!!!
  6. massive game and i dont care how we win!! and i really hope Hearts players are playing for their cup final place rather than the crap we dished up when we got there it can be our worse game of the season, worst performance from 11 players - i dont care, as long as we have scored 1 more than them come 90mins that is all that matters

    The Run In...

clearly its from the Stuart McCall school of maths.............games against the OF don't count, so you are way out! Win 2 of the other 3 are we are sorted - thats what he will be saying to the players!!

    Hibs Away

Looking into trains for the Hibs game on Sunday 8th April, it mentions nothing specific on the website about works being carried out on Motherwell - Edinburgh route, however reading between the lines - its obvious work is going on. http://www.scotrail.co.uk/timetables-routes/2081 http://www.scotrail.co.uk/timetables-routes/2081/2091/2011/winter this seems the best route to go, but for the life of me, every time i enter this into the website to try and get times, its sending me to Partick for a change I normally get the Bellshill quick train - however I know this doesnt run on a Sunday, and any other time, I've been able to get the above mentioned train Anyone help????
  9. it was in the paper that the bookies lost a fortune on Sunday with the odds they offered Rangers at in the (FT)OF game so im really surprised they were still offering at that price - I was hoping Rangers lost and we won at the weekend, just to see if they would have made us favourites!! from a betting point of view - its really a no brainier who to put your money on!!!!
  10. if Fyvie posted that comment- then its time someone showed him what a late mistimed malicious tackle actually feels like!!!!!
  11. i dont know what to think about saturday......for the first time ever, i think i agree with MJC!! anything could happen i think i am in the camp, that as long as we dont lose, i'll walk away from FP happy (Dazzer in disguise) - I do think the Hump should start, but he needs to be more consistent. He won us the game in Dunfermline, he made a difference in the Aberdeen game - but he needs to do that kind of stuff for 60-70mins, not 10-15 if we play 4231/451 and HIggy is up top, then we need to get players to support him (and the fans need to stop cristising him too, last week if was obvious that a few had come back out the woodwork (absolute bangers of the highest order) come on Motherwell - lets show these f**kers we've got the fight to stay where we are (and deserve to be)
  12. you can sign any out of contract player until April 1st - after that, you have to wait under the window opens again
  13. he was, aye. but so were Murphy and Daley.................Daley had a mare, probably the same as his performance against United at Tannadice. Humphrey has done well since he has come on as a sub - but he doesnt oust anyone from the midfield - Murphy Las Jenno and Law for me. Its whats working and we shouldnt change it unless we have to. Humphrey, however, should be first in the pecking order if someone drops out with injury or suspension. For me, Daley has been far more eratic this season than the Hump
  14. how do you know that wont happen this year? IF and a very big IF, we were to reach a semi final, the club should release a statement saying all those who go to the semit final - keep your stubs, you will be guranteed a ticket the atmosphere at the final last year was horrendous we've had a great season, and we will obviously find out more in the next few weeks how great it could actually be - but i would be very disappinted if we can do this well and our numbers actually decrease. keep the prices the same / small increase, offer the same incentives and at least make sure we hit the same numbers as last year. if we cant encourage people to come out and see us with how well we are playing against what is a very good deal for SPL football - then we will never be able to attract new fans
  15. should also have mentioned............... IF we finish second, with the extra revenue that brings £900k, does that mean we can count this as a "player sale" and not actually have to sell anyone? we've heard recently that there is a profit warning as we havent sold anyone for a few seasons now - surely this would go a long way to help with that!?!?!
  16. a win in the league v a win in the cup? gurantee 3rd spot v another visit to Hampden? or be greedy and expect 2 wins!!
  17. St J are going to wreck it this year, they will be in there instead of Killie (if things go who they were predicted!) By the split - we will have played 16 home, 17 away We "should" be due Celtic home, Rangers away, St J home, Hearts away, United home - i would be very happy with that!!! Maybe this year with the fact the league has gone, we will see Rangers and Celtic not get their 19/19 split - they are the only ones to ever get this guranteed
  18. tickets are on sale today until 330pm from the ticket office they will also be on sale tomorrow in the club shop until 1pm - THIS IS CASH ONLY
  19. was good to see the 2nd end section getting involved tonight and standing and singing - great atmosphere a special mention to the 10 or so in the far top corner of the POD! looked like they were having a party of their own!! nice to see Higgy appreciating the singing and Randy for swinging on the bar as requested!! Celtic away and Pars away - Dunfermline was good the last time! And then a massive home game against Aberdeen where I think we will see a similar crowd to last night, although I think they will bring a bigger support than Hearts/Hibs Since I started this thread - thats 5 wins and a draw!!!!! No defeats!!!! Keep the support/singing/flag waving & banners coming - it obviously makes a difference!! BELIEVE!!
  20. Page Thank you thank you thank you! great 2nd half performance, it was crucial we got that early goal and we just kicked on. we always struggle agaiinst Hibs' strikers, so its good thats out the way. Heid was defo booked, think he launched Sproule out the way. Also think we saw the best and worst of Clancy tonight - still rate him and think he has been better than most folk would have expected. We definitely missed Las in the middle of the park tonight - but Jenno stood up to the mark and was brilliant. Undecided about Saturday now - the Dunfermline game is certainly more winnable, so not sure if we should "rest" the players nearing a suspension - but no doubt they will want to play. Well Done Motherwell another fine 3 points "oh i do like to be beside the seaside!"
  21. ok - so apparently there are only 500 Motherwell tickets left and for ease, we'll say there are 2500 spare in the Hibs end.......thats 3000 empty seats. Who think there will be over 11000 there tonight? Not me!!!! I would love to be proved wrong................and i would love us to win in front of a big crowd!!!!!!!!!
  22. nail on head - the stands will not be full if you want in, it might be worth risking hanging about the east stand or keep checking here for those with spares. You might get lucky and get in. Every season ticket holder has two tickets - so it wont be full, although I don't think the club can possibly come out and officially say that
  23. Would you not say it's because Las and Jenno have been outstanding this season?? Rather than his ability / attitude / experience And I agree thats another option - my only problem with that is that they are out and out attacking players and dont perform aswell defensively as others. I like seeing MFC giving guys a chance - its what we are all about, and its why some of the young guys come to us. I've not watched Hibs for a while now, so I have no idea how they will line up/set up against us. 3 points would be magic, 1 point and O'Connor and Griffiths to be flattened by the Heid would also be satisfactory!

    A Wee Song...

does anyone know if we will actually get to hear this music? I was talking to a mate who said that your only allowed to play this in the Champions Lge proper - so not the shitty qualifiers? He said that Hearts did it at Murrayfield and were given a warning!!! Tbh - i'd take the warning just to hear it over our tannoy!!!!!!!!!!! Yabba - did you buy those speakers? We may need them!!!!!!!!!
  25. please please McCall - DO NOT RING THE CHANGES with Las now suspended, my hope is that Carswell comes straight in as a direct replacement however, i can see McCall moving Hateley to CM, Clancy to RB and Craggs back in at CB.........................dont change a defence that is doing well and looks comfortable a really good chance to close in on rangers before they even lose some of their players!!! Up the Well
