This not the guy that should have been off in the cup game for a ridiculous challenge on Reynolds? If so I'd give him a miss, charged about like a headless chicken all game looking busy but produced zero moments where he showed any ability to beat a man / pass / cross / shoot... rather see Halsman or someone get a chance than this guy.

Surely some of these players only require a fee of £10k - £20k which you make back by paying lower wages than these loan guys... And if it works out you have a sellable asset at the end of it... too much like long-term thinking maybe. Sure it used to be that we even took a few players from the juniors and they worked out well but now it's the opposite, we sign up youngsters, keep 1 or 2 after the age of 21 and the rest end up dropping down.

Seen Eddie Howe mentioned earlier in the thread which would be a great shout... stumbling blocks would be a) he has a job already so would need to pay compo and b) probably on the radar for any championship / premiership vacancies that arise so wouldn't move to the SPL. Got to assume it'll be someone without a job... Phil Brown!

Oh aye, forgot about his hat-trick against Queens Park...
-
I think to become a real legend all he needs to do is become the penalty taker and go out drinking at mega bar every night... worked for Ritchie Foran so why no?
-
All opinions I suppose because as far as I'm concerned this is utter BOLLOCKS.

Thank God I'm not the only person thinking this! The guy never won a single tackle tonight I don't think and struggled to complete a pass. People were crying out pre-season for him to sign a new contract and I never understood it... I mean who else would take him?! The guy is stealing wages and if his dad wasn't Mark Hately there's no chance he'd be paid for playing football.

Anytime I see a Scottish team in Europe they seem to get very little from officials. Maybe I'm just biased but looks to me like Scottish teams aren't best liked.
-
Well I wouldn't have them down as stonewallers. I shouted for them for us but I'd be ragin if they were given against us.
-
I'll count that as creativity I suppose...

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Don't think I've said we're pish... they're not a particularly good side yet they've scored 2 and had 2 or 3 go close. We've had how many chances? Half baked penalty shouts don't really count as creating something either.
-
Well unfortunately zero creativity equals zero goals, gemme's a bogey.
-
And there goes the chances of the group stages... that guy is rank rotten as well.

What a joke of a booking for Jennings! Unbelievable!

Don't fancy putting Forbes on, simply too slow. Would get Blackman on for Murphy shortly, granted I've only seen him for the last 15 mins on Saturday but seems quick enough and more of a presence than Murphy.
-
Think we've competed rather than being the better team... don't think we've strung more than 3 passes together very often. Standard Scottish team performance, lots of energy and effort, not a whole lot of intelligence or composure.

Humphrey back to having a mare after a couple of games not looking too bad... his crossing really is abysmal alot of the time.
-
Terrible goal to lose... shit defending and goalkeeping. Was just thinking if we get the first goal it could be a great result but if they do they could gain confidence and pump us... hope I'm wrong.

Why would the club feel the need to give travelling fans anything? They have already qualified for Europe to give them the opportunity to visit Iceland/Norway/Denmark... to me that seems like more than enough. If you want to see a game at Fir Park you know the price in advance and you pay it or you don't, the exact same as travelling to a European game so I fail to see how people should be 'rewarded' for taking a trip they fancied to watch football and get bevvied. As for the supposed PR coup, what does the club really gain from it? A few hundred well fans get free tickets to games they'd be at anyway and the Motherwell Times gives them a pat on the back? Hardly worth the £10k figure you're putting on it.

Sense the sarcasm in my earlier post... I thought it was pretty obvious... Anyway, just looked at Hibs potential opponents and would much rather be in their position.
-
Looking at the groups I think Uefa have just decided to shaft us with the least accessible places in Europe! Still, it might not matter to us anyway if we're oot!
-
Am I the only one who thinks this guy is a very very average player at best?! Done a decent job filling in at right back due to lack of other options but the way he's shooting his mouth off (allegedly at least) you would think he had some sort of pedigree rather than a CV that reads Reading Reserves and Basingstoke Town (and possibly my dad and granda were decent so I must be too)! All opinion I suppose but he certainly wouldn't be in my first choice midfield and if we actually signed a right back then he'd be as well loaned out to the Conference South again.
-
Coke for me was the best player on the park at Tynecastle and also on Wednesday and anyone who thinks Forbes has done enough in the last 6 months to merit a place in the team must be off their head. Yes he had a disaster with the backpass but put himself in that position by chasing back from 30 yards away after our whole defence was beaten by one straighforward pass. What hasn't been mentioned though is that he was effectively carrying Hately for the full game as he couldn't kick his own arse, but then again I'm sure that was all down to the pitch that he's apparently too good to play on!
-
In a word... yes. In my opinion we now have at least 4 central midfielders better than him in the squad and although I enjoyed watching him charge about he was never that great. Looking at the players mentioned in that report though it's hardly surprising that Dundee never won the league! Only sensible player brought in was Leigh Griffiths and can't see him hanging about.
