I don't think anyone is expecting us to suddenly see 8,000 / 9,000 average attendance at Fir Park but the point is to try and help if you can by taking a positive approach rather than accept nothing will ever change without even trying. An increase on the average attendance of 200 would pay a squad players wage so every little helps surely?

Just like Hammell and Lasley were shodows of the players that left and have destroyed their hero status? Or even Phil O'Donnell? Pretty sure he was a great asset when he came back despite fitness issues.

A straight no vote from the board wouldn't have given them as much positive PR with the fans as the ballot idea has. Not to mention possibly convincing more people to sign up for the Well Society off the back of it. Even if they had decided to vote no already this is a clever / more beneficial way of doing it.

Surely the situation is that currently there are 11 football clubs in the SPL and so there is a space in the league which Sevco have applied to fill with a brand new football club? Therefore, you either accept this brand new team or you reject it... I doubt there is any grounds for a legal challenge because you applied for something and it was rejected! The questions regarding SPL2 / where Sevco's new football club plays is an issue which may or may not arise and so cannot be considered when voting. As I don't think there is any way of actually knowing how budgets will be affected by a no vote, I am unsure how the club can tell you how many employees we will need to cut. Finally, the chance to change the voting structure is permanently there... all it requires is 11 clubs to agree on the change which is much more likely with one half of the OF gone. Basically all your questions appear to be regarding negative implications for a no vote much in the same way the media has spun things. Sometimes in life you have to take a leap of faith and go with something you personally believe in rather than being swayed by biased reporting...

Unless a no vote would definitely mean our club would be in administration / liquidated I doubt anyone would jump from the no camp to the yes camp... There won't be any facts in the documnet received anyway... much like the ridiculous Rangers CVA there are far too many ifs, buts and maybes invloved... the negatives will be weighted towards the worst case scenarios and the positives will be played down so that people aren't overly optimistic. The no camp has never been about financial facts and figures anyway as far as I'm aware.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
tottenmfc replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
Surely the 'old' Rangers don't still have players? Their wages would be paid by the company not the football club and as such the contract would be with them... this company no longer exists so how can they have a contract? Also, if the current Rangers have absolutely no assets how can they possibly meet the SPL rules regarding stadiums etc. which have seen clubs miss out on promotion on more than one occasion? Therefore, as of now they should be chucked out the SPL and be unable to have a say in it. -
Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

I'm pretty sure that Rangers FC do not exist... the company that owned them has been liquidated and as such they have no players contracted to them and their assets have been sold to 'The Rangers' for £5.5 million. Now the issue is that 'The Rangers' want to form a football club and have applied to play in the SPL... something that has never been heard of before. That's my understanding anyway but what I'm not sure of is how there can possibly be a Rangers vote included when the clubs meet if they do not currently exist?! -
Still doesn't change the fact that the guy is a fud and has been spouting nonsense defending 'Tha Rainjurs' on a regular basis throughout all this.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

Pretty sure in the CVA document it mentioned HMRC as a creditor with the figure shown as TBC* *Currently owed around the 20 million quid mark but could increase based on the outcome of the BTC. This is what I found bizarre about the CVA, how can the creditors accept or reject the deal without actually knowing what they'll get for it?! That would make me think that it'll get rejected but since all they need is HMRC and Ticketus agreeing to it you never know! Regarding the alternative mentioned in the document where they are liquidated and Charles Green acquires the assets for 5.5 million, is it not strange that this figure is the same as the administrators fees (so they get paid and everyone else gets nothing) and seems alot less than the actual value of the assets? Why not liquidate them and pass ownership of the assets to the creditors who can then lease back the stadium / training facilities to any NewCo? Don't know the ins and outs of that exactly but it certainly seems like a better deal for them than they're currently getting from a NewCo. I wish I could win one of those ridiculous Euro Millions jackpots, bid 5.6 million for the assets and bulldoze the lot! Creditors still get shafted but the world is a better place! -
Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
tottenmfc replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
Being given a winding-up order for not paying tax and subsequently paying that tax late is not quite the same as deducting tax and NI from employees and simply choosing not to pay it to HMRC for a substantial period of time. Comparing Rangers to ourselves and Dundee only works if they exit administration via a CVA and if so they will be treated according to the rules like we were. If it's a newco situation that's where the problems arise as they would essentially be a new team and how many new teams are able to waltz into the country's top division? The fact is that it's been rules for the old firm and rules for the rest for years but this could be the final straw for some people and I can understand why. A few people need to get off their high horse with all this "support the club whatever" nonsense. -
Felt I had to fix that...

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
tottenmfc replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
"Without Rangers the league would be knackered." - pure speculation, there are many with the view that there would be a more level playing field and more competition without Rangers and therefore the league would be the opposite of knackered. "But that would be the end for Scottish football — there certainly wouldn't be any TV deals and the element of competition would vanish because Celtic would walk away with the SPL. - not true, as has been posted several times there are leagues with lower audiences / budgets / entertainment levels with TV deals so why would we not have one? The element of competition would only vanish for Celtic assuming none of the other teams pushed on and challenged them and the fact a team could be gubbed 4 times by Celtic but win the majority of their other games means it's not unthinkable. Right now Celtic and Rangers walk away so why does it make a difference to us if it's just Celtic? "Financially speaking, Rangers mean a lot to us because of the revenue that comes into the coffers when we play them. The SPL without Rangers is unthinkable and I'm sure lots of clubs would go to the wall without them." - Not true, many can think of an SPL without Rangers (I certainly can) where clubs adjust their budgets accordingly and get back to developing Scottish talent at an affordable level. The part about clubs going to the wall is also just pure speculation. -

I hope this is a poor attempt at sarcasm because I see no "truth" in there whatsoever -

Expressing a personal opinion in a national newspaper which is the opposite of a large number of supporters (his current employers?) and doesn't exactly go along with the official position put out by the club is disappointing to say the least. The fact is that as a football manager any comments you make in interviews are seen as official comments coming out of the club and I would suggest that coming out with what is frankly lies and scaremongering is ill advised on his part. -
That would be the total worst case scenario where we lose both Lasley and Jennings but if it does happen then I'd rather see any random midfielder from the u-19s get a game in the middle rather than Hateley. At least then there's a chance they'd be good, where as it's been proven time and again that Hateley is not a centre mid no matter how much he wants to be. Does a decent job at right back and that's what he should stick to.

Just researching the important issues for the various destinations, so in order of cheapest beer it's: Kiev Istanbul Athens Copenhagen However, by my reckoning in order of probability of getting stabbed from highest to lowest: Istanbul Athens Kiev Copenhagen Not sure how accurate this is but basically I don't think there is a clear winner for me out of those destinations!

Looks great! Think you may need a large supply of these as I'd imagine they will be flying out the shop

In fairness Ojamaa coming on the scene also meant McCall started playing with 2 strikers so Higdon actually had some support, I think that had a huge bearing on our results as well as Ojamaa's contribution.

The words pot, kettle and black spring to mind here

No doubt The Sun seen a tweet from one of the players saying he was off to Vegas and created this story of an American tour off the back of that. In reality we'll probably be off to play the likes of Workington and Fleetwood as usual!

Non-starter, Motherwell don't sign left sided midfielders... But that aside, aye I'd definitely take him, more money to be had elsewhere though no doubt.

This is purely based on Wikipedia stats so could be wrong but... Johnny Russell has scored 14 goals in 42 games this season Jamie Murphy has scored 13 goals in 39 games this season I appreciate you would have to look at assists and other aspects to get the full picture but both have the same goal ratio yet there is this myth that Johnny Russell is the next big thing while Jamie Murphy is apparently s**t. Absolute nonsense in my opinion... these days simply wearing a Dundee Utd strip seems to treble your value and be enough to earn you some Scotland caps!

Love that Bradley, Lawless and Pollock get a mention but Ross Forbes doesn't... forgotten man right enough!

Or if your big team is away to Peterhead?

Went for Lasley as for me he's the player that's been the biggest loss when missing and, as has been mentioned a few times, it's no coincidence our best runs / results have been when he's been in the middle with Jennings.
