I'll obviously give him a chance and get behind him 100%......but I am very concerned by this appointment.

Makes you wonder what makes him 3rd choice right enough. Might be something really simple I suppose. To be fair Sbragia and MacDonald have very recent EPL experience. On the other hand he is clearly willing to work with a very small/no budget and I doubt he needs the job from a financial standpoint. However, I do feel that his staunch Rangers loyalties will mean he will never be fully accepted.

It is low but even I'm not convinced it is as low as Danny Lennon. There is at least that.

His playing ability diesn't really come into it for me, and I'm not convinced it will for the players either. I can only go on the job done at Bradford and whilst there may be much more to it than I know of didn't he end up guiding them down to League 2 before walking away/coming to a mutual agreement? I have seen no evidence that he has contacts either. The press spoke up others in thus way but I can't recall McCall being included.

Can I what this good experience is and who the good contacts specifically are?

What Burns hints at is that Boyle and Leitch have met up socially, the job was never mentioned but he would like it. Course he would. Now that he has very limited options.

Talk of Leitch getting the job now is way off the mark. How does he meet the criteria which, rightly or wrongly, has been put out into the public domain? Given the level Penney has managed at and his current job status if he is offered the job I'm 100% convinced we have had our last KB.

if I was Youngie I'd certainly be negative in my tactics. I'd be goibg 4-5-1 to try and sneak a draw. I think we could forgive him that. Hell, I'd have Humphrey following McCourt round the pitch like he was his stalker. Might not have the skill but he is ten times faster. If we don't man mark him out the game we could be in bother.

The irony is Jim Gannon IS what they are trying to replicate. The 'model' they are going on was due to the success they had FROM his appointment. Regardless, of how things went with the man himself the club are looking for someone with the knowledge and contacts to bring in a Ruddy, Lukas, Coke, Jennings, Humphrey, and Hateley. Let us be honest, even Brown (although Randolph and Blackman are right good signings) struggled to match that. Wonder if Gannon had more money to play with (McGhee comp, transfer of Clarkson and Quinn) than Brown did?
