Hopefully with the new set up being in place things are allowed to settle and develop and we start seeing signs of individual and team improvement by Xmas time.......and a mild winter so the lads can get their games played.

Splitting Ramsden in two for CB and CM is a good idea.

Which is a true point. Noah, what is going on at this level at the moment? I think we have played five or six games, winning one and losing the rest. Some of these games have featured the likes of Hollis, Carswell, Daley, Hetherington, and McHugh. These players not taking the U20 fixtures seriously? Playing with much younger team mates who are struggling with the step up? The youth players at rival Clubs being of a better standard? The management not being the best? A bit of everything? I wish we could see the return of the reserve league.
-
That is a very poor result. Not sure what is going on at this level.

One things for sure. Nae chance of him ending up at Celtic. They don't need him. The guy needs a team quickly. It''s only going to get harder for him to get a move the longer he is out the game. Won't be us though.

6 or 7? We will lose more than that. Look at last years league table and take three Rangers defeats off it. I'd be surprised if it still wasn't 10 or more. Edit: checked myself. 12 defeats, 9 if you take away Rangers...I'll be honest and say a little surprised by that. Still think we will lose more than 6 or 7 though.

The choice of Captain appears to be down to age and experience. Craigan was always in conversation with the ref. I don't see Lasley doing that much. Other than that the role of the Captain is overstated as the manager is only feet away shouting instructions to the players. The Captain should be lifting players up with a quiet word....say if a defender scores an og or if one of their players is roughing up one of ours. I have yet to see Lasley's influence here on the park. A better choice than what we have? That's the problem isn't it and probably why he has the armband. Randolph possibly but I am not a fan of keepers having that role when they are confined to such a small space on the pitch. After that Higdon...but I doubt he would want the extra responsibility and it wouldn't be a popular choice.

Same one as myself. What are we due? I thought it was just a membership card, DVD, and a year of MFCTV? I can understand the delay in the card but the DVD should have been dealt with a long, long, time ago. I know from reading this forum that the £1,000 club have had the signed bottle from the gaffer and team photo which I'm glad to hear. That is a fair bit if cash to part with so good to see they are getting what they were promised. I joined up in January. I'd imagine that the meeting next month will shed a lot of light on things. To be honest it REALLY has to as the vast majority could have parted with £300 nine/ten months ago and not had very much personal contact with the Club regarding it.

No doubt but when you get 16-20 guys in a dressing room there is always going to be cliques, jealousy, petty dislikes, and personsl rivalries. Football folk are notoriously good at keeping these hush hush as no one wants to burn any bridges publically that could prevent them pulling a wage in the future. I'm by no means a Humphrey defender. He has been rank rotten and regularly bottles out of 50/50 challenges whether the ball is in the air or on the deck but I'd imagine there are a few guys at the Club who players think are a headache to play with. I'm sure our number 1 thinks so right now.

We were losing but I'm not sure about as badly. We need a statto to provide scores etc. but McCall's goals for and against ratio in respect to the OF is about 42-4. McGhee who was in the job a few months more at this stage couldn't have had such a bad record. There was nearly a two year period where Rangers never beat us in the league at Fir Park. That is a small comfort in this very poor run.
-
What level did you sign up st Fraz? £300? £1,000? If you don't mind me asking.
-
Which players and who asked? Let me give you an example. I have publically overhead a Motherwell manager badly criticise a player to a fan when that person was still at the Club. Jim Gannon - Yassin Moutawhatshisname. Some would suggest to disclose such info without following through with the story is a poor show or likely not true. If it is due to being of a sensitive nature or would be a breach of confidence then you really shouldn't have said anything in the first place.

I'm gonna bite. Go on............

I'd want to be the keeper replacing the keeper who replaced Randolph. Filling those gloves is going to be some doing. Ruddy was brilliant for a season. Randolph has been outstanding, and better for us than Ruddy imo, for two and a bit. To replace Randolph is going to be some ask. I'd say Hollis has an excellent chance of being that man.

Fair doos but I don't think we can discount wee Broon's role in things. He would have had to have met with him and give him the big sell etc. Broon will likely make a cheeky play for him in January on a pre contract. England bound though. Championship Club must be monitoring him especially after his International Cap. A keeper like that for literally hee haw. A steal.
-
Exactly. A grafter and gives his all each game. Unlucky to be on the bench today I thought. Certainty to start against United.......I hope.
-
The best thing wee Craigy B did for Motherwell. How can he spot a keeper like that AND convince him to come to Motherwell yet still stick by the likes of Clangers???
-
I take it Hammell's 'injury' is just a precautionary measure as he had no difficulty in jogging up and down the Main Stand steps today?
-
You can remind me if that is the case
-
I think McCall will pick; Randolph Hateley Hutch Ramsden Hammell (if fit) Humphrey Law Lasley Murphy Ojamaa Higdon 1-1 with Higdon and Daly getting the goals.
-
I always thought his only weakness was against penalty kicks. In his first two seasons (not counting shoot out against Hibs where I think he saved one) the only one saved was Ross McCormack's in a friendly. In rhe vast majority of kicks he always seemed to go the wrong way. I believe that might be his third this season.....St Johnstone, ICT, and Celtic. Unless I'm mistaken. Now the complete goalkeeper in my eyes and our only true excellent player. The guy deserves his move. Just a shame we won't really cash in on it.
-
Now I appreciate that we are only 5 points from 11th place but no way are we going to end up relegated or even in a relegation battle and I believe even you know that, MJC. I think we have started off very well, been lucky with the teams we faced, and will now begin to slip slightly down the table. Dun Utd, Hearts, and Hibs are three very big fixtures but by the time the time the first round of fixtures I expect us to be sitting in fourth or fifth and still with a bit of daylight between us and the rank Dundee.

Randolph. There shouldn't be a vote for anyone else.
