Gannon's nonsense with Dallas over letter sending was embarrassing. I had no problem with him pointing out the poor decisions we were getting.
-
I'll need to see it again but from what I saw I thought we were lucky to get it.
-
Hard to tell really when you are there. 300 tops maybe. Like the offside goal the guys who watched it online will have a better idea.
-
First time I have seen anything about it since the game. Onside without a doubt. The only way I can get my head round it is to think we got a soft penalty. Two wrongs don't make a right but we do need to highlight it then move on quickly imo. Only thing that matters now is our game vs St Mirren.

Anybody else at the game think that whilst the new Stand is impressive it has taken something from the atmosphere of the place?
-
Take it everybody at the game saw the steward taking the ball aff the side of the heid, when he was walking behind the goal, when a Hibs shot went just over? Stick on for the '3rd Eye' on Soccer AM. Last minute of the game, a certain defeat looming, and even Randolph couldn't stop giggling.

EASILY better? Very good.

It isn't but we don't want it to go to that level. Brown is very big on discipline and on field respect. Fair one. Couldn't agree more. However, after Rangers crushed us he bemoaned our players for being "too nice" and they needed a bit of a "mean streak". I'd say he needs to practice what he preaches. He can still be the same respectful manager who everyone speaks highly of AND tell it like it is. No one is talking about the decisons going against us because WE don't even talk about it. Wrong.

As much as I admire and respect Craig for what he has done for our Club I am getting tired of his 'Mr Nice Guy' persona. Never a cross word no matter how awful the decisions against us are and every manager in the opposite dugout is a scholar and a gent and was always going to make it as a top manager. Bit of a change of record please. I'm not asking for a Neil Lennnon in our dugout however I think he should be a bit more honest at times.

Difficult one in hindsight. We win 2-1 today and Brown has played a masterstroke. Beat today, as we were, and the obvioius points get raised. It's a difficult one. For whatever reason Brown thought the team and formation we played against St Johnstone wouldn't do today. Whether he is correct or not we won't know.....but I do know that he got it wrong today. We were the best team until Hibs scored. The penalty looked soft from my position. It was a certainly that Blackman would hit it. Was pretty confident he would put it away as well. When it went to 1-1 you could see the nerves in our team. Will need to see the goals again to pass better comment on them but for me their second goal shows the reason why we have had Craigan for 11 years. He will be solid as a rock for 10-12 games then he will make a a very easy mistake that has you shaking your head in disbelief. By halftime and at that point Hibs being 2-1 up, I thought they were the better side. Not by too much though. In the second half I thought we were the best side, although as pointed out Brown didn't need to make a save. Didn't have to make many in the whole match either. Few odd decisions by the Ref (for and against us) and some really bad challenges by the Hibs players. The substitue situation was embarrassing in my opinion. Gow should have been taken off earlier I think. Things weren't going well and we don't make any changes until the 88th minute. Again if Casagolda nets an equaliser in the 5th minute of injury time, Brown looks like a hero again. The way it did go down just looked poor. We were the best team in the second half but we didn't look like scoring. Changes should have been made no later than the 65th minute and they should have been staggered to being constant freshness to the team. Not too often have I been annoyed by managerial decisons since Brown joined us but today I was. Can't comment on the 'offside goal' nor can anyone in the Motherwell end at the game. Was too far away. People who have seen it on TV are saying it was two yards onside. That is very disappointing. I am quite interested to see what Brown is going to do with Hateley when Lasley returns. For me our midfield was posted missing a good few times in the match. Bad day at the office all round. Hearts and Inverness both winning was exactly what we didn't want. Killie are on a good run and are climbing the table and Dun Utd will always be there or thereabouts. Hearts have Hamilton at Tynecastle next week. They should pick up three points. We really need to get results in our next two matches against St Mirren.......and Hearts. Not careful, a couple of bad results and we could see ourselves cut adrift from 3rd and bouncing about 5th/6th place. Not a bad position by any means but a big disapointment when you consider where we have been sitting in the table for the last few weeks.

A rare Null Vote from me. Not because of the defeat I just didn't think anyone in Claret and Amber was head and shoulders (or just a head!) above the rest.
-
That obviously isn't true.

I was sure I heard on Radio Scotland (Richard Gordon) recently that McGhee now has that dubious honour. Could be wrong though.
-
Just when I thought you were going down a positive route In saying that I know where you are coming from. Bit concerned by this one and was before their cracking win last night. A real shame that if we get a good draw on Saturday and Hearts beat St Johnstone (which is very likely) we will drop to fourth. Hearts beating Celtic was a very poor result for us in my opinion. I think Hibs will come good and will finish in the top 6 no worries. 2-2 draw on Saturday and fingers crossed those around us drop points as well.
-
Which is a cracking and very admirable attitude. If he gets a new contract then it will be due to the fact he has earned it. We have games against Hibs, St Mirren, Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Killie, Rangers and Celtic before his contract expires. If he can impress and be an impact player against the majority of those sides then get him signed up.
-
McGhee has the worst record in Aberdeen's history apparently.......as well as overseeing the Club's biggest defeat in their 107 year history. Now that is a legacy. The record that Brown and Knox have is fantastic and they deserve all the credit going.
-
Surprised Murphy hasn't been given a chance. Not saying it is right or I agree but not shocked in thw slightest Reynolds and Humphrey haven't been included. Reynolds will no doubt be in like a shot as soon as he gets his move
-
How did that come about?
-
Surprised but fair enough.
-
Here's hoping. Brown seems fairly confident we could keep him till May.

His performances have been excellent. The only area I'd like to see him improve in is penaltys. Some goalies have a tremendous record i.e. Cerny, McGregor, even Buzz. Right now I'd say he has surpassed Ruddy in much the same way Blackman has a better record than Lukas.....so far. Just haven't attained that 'cult' popularity yet.
