  1. Yip. Loans and freebies.
  2. Did we spend any money in the summer though? Depends how you look at it. Reynolds and Fitzy could possinly be away. League Cup Semi on the horizon. I expect somebidy will be brought in on a loan deal. Especially if Gow and Blackman leave.
  3. I remember him scoring a cracking winning goal after about 4 minutes against Aberdeen in the League Cup the same year lwe got to the Semis. Apart from that I can't recall another thing he did for us
  4. Training , aye but signing? No thank you!!!!!!
  5. Just watched the highlights. One of the worst penalties I have seen in a long time. Never again Hateley.
  6. Kinda agree with this. If what happened to St Mirren in last season's final had happened to us I still think I would be rocking back and forth in a corner of Hampden.
  7. Never match fit though is he? Bounce games on a weekly basis and training daily and still not fit?
  8. One game though in which after it we were and still are at time of writing 3rd in the SPL and in a League Cup Semi Final. Not a great deal wrong with the defence is there?
  9. Stephen Craigan was just on talksport there. Said after beating Dun Utd twice this week the team may have "gotten ahead of themselves yesterday". Imo a ridiculous mentality to have and may say more about the defeat than anything. Overlooking or underestimating your 'derby rivals'. Utter, utter, madness.
  10. I agree that Fitzy should have replaced Hateley or Forbes LONG before the end of the match, Sutton should have been up front and McHugh should have been brought on earliet but don't tend to agree that the back four had a 'mare and Saunders or Craigan should have been replaced by Hutchinson and Page. In the cold light of day it was one match in a week that saw us beat Dun Utd twice. Let us see what team and how we react next Saturday. I still say Hateley needs to be a sub for a while when Jennings and Lasley are fit but at this point I'd keep the back four as is.
  11. Had no idea he made comment. Still.............Mr Nice Guy strikes again
  12. And what did we have at the 2-2 game at NDP last season? 2000 and odds to their 1800 and odds?? Utter joke of a football club. I CANNOT WAIT till the 1st January 2011 so we can get the chance at payback.
  13. He didn't but when you consider Celtic are complaining so much about a referee's performance in a match they WON imagine how they would react if they were on the receiving end of that display. My only criticism of Craig Brown is he tries to be Mr Nice Guy too often. After the Rangers defeat he criticised the side for a lack of a 'mean streak'. Irony isn't lost on me. There is getting stuck into referee's for honest mistakes in dubious incidents that happen at 100 mph in which they only have the benefit of seeing it once. Difficult to criticise imo. Today Thomson made a mess of it all over the park and some of his decsions were borderline incompetent. Times like this Craig Brown should speak out.
  14. Which is where he will go in January. If Lasley and Jennings are fit next week I think Hateley would benefit from a period on the bench. I said it before the game and I'll say it now........Fitzy must be away in January. Not being an option to replace Forbes or Hateley today is not a good sign. To finish with both those players on the park at the end was a complete and utter mystery. Did we even use our 3 subs. I can only recall 2 being used.
  15. Been a source of annoyance for me for the last seasons. Only seem to take it when all the opposition players have readied themselves for it. Agreed. I want to see someone other than Hateley, Fores, or Hammell hit the next one. Step up Nick Blackman!
  16. That's the thing though. He sees this as his natural position when it is screamingly obvious he is a far more accomplished RB. He is one Mark Reynolds move away from being in that RB position for possibly the duration of his Motherwell career right enough.
  17. John Sutton, Jim O'Brien, Ross Forbes, Jamie Murphy, and Tom Hateley have all missed penalties for us since the start of last season. Forbes has missed two. That is from my memory anyway. That is disgraceful imo. Truly disgraceful. Consider the fact Aberdeen have had 7 penalties this season and Paul Hartley has scored the lot. Hartley is accomplished no doubt but that is a stat that pisses all over our own. Cerny has possibly the best record in the SPL for saving penalties. He is tremendous at it. Saving it is one thing though. Saving it and catching it? How the defender (I couldn't tell who it was) never got sent off let alone a yellow card is a mystery and is easily the worst decision I have seen at FP since Forbes' goal against Rangers was falsely called offside last season. I fully expect Blackman to be our next penalty taker. I also fully expect him to score. Strikers should hit penalties except on occasions when you have a Hartley in your team. Accies were dirty, slow, time wasting, aggresors........and they knew how to beat us. Injury is preventing Hateley getting his 'turn' on the bench. Forbes as well, at this time, is unable to replace Lasley. A very hard defeat and one that shows our frailties. If we hope to finish 3rd these are the games you need to win. As has been said Accies won't beat too many teams when they are away from home so it is 3 points dropped for sure. We had two main injuries but still should have had a team that could beat them. Midweek game affect us? Not sure but again I would hope not. Games like today help plant the seed that we are unable to beat Rangers in a League Cup Semi Final imo. We have a massive game next Saturday against an Inverness team that had a very good result at Ibrox. Not beaten on the road in a league match in nearly a year and a half. Wow! Regardless a point up there wouldn't be a bad result.

Thought Humphrey and Blackman were our best. Went for Humphrey as he was very instrumental in getting us the penalty.
  19. We should but Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, and, Dun Utd, teams that in the past brought very healthy supports aren't doing so anymore. Motherwell's core support doesn't tend to go up and down much on an average basis.
  20. Welcome result after the last two disappointing defeats.
  21. Fingers crossed. Really fancy us if those 3 are playing. Any mention of Hammell?
